Entaku no Kishi is what the Knights of the Roundtable are called but then you add a single letter to make the word for knights (kishi) become kishin (demon lord) and now you get a ridiculously cool name.

For its day, it was pretty good though, despite the pixels. You have to remember that this game was released all the way back in 2006 - 15 years ago.

THANK YOU! Ace Combat 0 is such a gem. For such a prequel it has the most advanced flight simulation physics in the ps2 era yet remained enjoyable regardless of control mechanics used. The story is also dark especially when you play pure mercenary killing all units in the map. Pixiv is a backstabbing bastard but he and the player are indeed same coin of different side, until the end that is.
I like how the lyrics are so ingrained in my head that I hear them even in the part where there's no singing Edit: That "It's time." Synced up perfectly.

The way the music ramps up as AWACS finally completes analysis on the enemy aircraft and gives you the details you need to win the fight goes absolutely crazy
The idea behind the way you fight Pixy in this is just insane and absurdly ANIME Fight Scene; The entire game you're encouraged to flank or get behind your enemy for a perfect strike that they can't block, but here? You're charging head-on towards someone who is effectively your equal in skill. Every time I see you squaring towards him and charging on makes me see two things: A Jousting Charge; And the Final Showdown's synchronized cuts between the Protagonist and the Villain, where for what seems to be eternity, no one feels anything - Standing in place after slashing one another - Until the enemy starts spilling blood and falls to the ground.
that was the whole thing with this game wasn't it. The whole mercenary Knight meter which determined a lot in the game. The irony is the final showdown is simply a joust between a white and black knight
This was good ! Actually, Cipher knows his plane is not a tool of justice. Cipher, Pixy and PJ resembles the Mercenary, the Soldier and the Knight. Cipher is the mercenary, canonically he just shoots to everything that move, no matter if it is a threat or not. During the Belkan war he killed a lot of enemies just for his own profits. In Zero, we can see almost all of his allies and enemies talking about him with both fear and admiration, the admiration is because of his skill, but the fear, is because he is a ruthless bloodthirsty with no flag, if someone would offer him a better pay, he would change side on the front. Still, it's impossible to know how Cipher actually felt about what he was doing. Since he incarnates the Mercenary, I think the duel with Pixy was not a combat motivated by his sense of justice. In that moment, Pixy was the only man that could stop him, and the only pilot who could compete with him. Also, Pixy said in the last interview that everytime somebody was talking about him, he smiled. I've always interpreted that as a full description of Cipher's mental state. He was born to be a demon, and proud of everything he has done.

There was NO WAY they could actually win the war without any allies, fighting against Osea, Sapin, Ustio and other countries, being totally surronded. I wouldn't have changed side neither, it was only a matter of time. Also, even if Ustio would have been got absorbed into Osea, Cipher probably wouldn't care. After the war he disappeared, so I think he left the country, searching for a new combat zone to fight again, probably keeping a low profile this time since we didn't know anything new about him after the end of The Belkan War. Also I think the XB-0 bombing to Valais pissed off him a little since everyone could get killed on the ground. Totally legit if he wanted to kick AWWNB's ass.

Also the lyrics are mirroring the situation of Ace Combat Zero Standing here, I realize you were Just like me trying to make history. (Together, both mercenaries from the start, pursuing glory, money, or duty, etc. with their immense capabilities in air combat. Wether they’re aiming to make history or not, they know that the devastation brought about by this conflict and their actions will leave a permanent mark in history) But who's to judge the right from wrong. Cipher knows what he is doing, ending the lives of so many people in order to end the war). But in the end it has to be this way. (Both Pixy and Cipher are singularities trying to achieve their goal, even if they have to kill each other despite being former friends) I've carved my own path, you've followed your wrath; (Different ideologies, different paths, looking for the same goal. An end to the war or maybe an end to all wars...borders) But maybe we're both the same. (“Two sides of the same coin”) The world has turned, and so many have burned. (Belka dropped 7 nukes on their own soil to stop the advancing allied forces from moving further north, not to mention the amount of battles that took place and the civilians being caught in the crossfire. This was technically a world war with several countries involved) But nobody is to blame. (You may blame Belka, but this would have never happened if Osea and Yuktobania didn’t go into a Cold War eliminating the need for Belka to create extremely expensive defense systems designed to destroy incoming ICBM’s let alone Osea misleading Belka to spend even more money on a mining operation in the Great Lakes region which never had any natural sources to begin with, this broke their economy entirely. This is everyone’s fault, Belka did nothing wrong) And staring across this barren wasted land. (The culmination of the war has brought Cipher and Pixy together once again, man and ideals fighting above a “barren wasted land” in an effort to meet their goals) I feel new life could be born beneath The blood stained sand. (Pixy’s plan to entrust the future to the next generation after the bombs have fallen...no more borders woohoo)

This video came in my feed hot off the trails of me finish MGRR and after watching it I immediately got this and played it in a single sitting. Holy shit what a good game that was, so much stood out to me as both fun and/or amazing. The fight with the big laser, the bombing of the city, that big ass plane, the nuke, fighting Pixy and even just the post game cutscene was all just so fucking good. 11/10 would recommend. I’d get around to continuing 7 if I wasn’t stuck on the first mission that has you blowing shit up to meet a score that’s too high in a time frame too short
AC7's Long Day really isn't that bad, especially if you've already beaten Zero. There's plenty of videos of it if you want to get an idea of how to go about it.

Thank you so much for uploading this video. This dogfight got so ingrained into my mind, that after some years I just up and decided to play the AC series. I went through 4, 5 and Zero, and now I'm getting my hands on X. This series is pure gold; I've never played anything like it and never thought air combat could be so much fun. I recommend it to all of my friends at any chance I get.

this video is literally just perfect. the way my guy was playing perfectly synced to the music (even better than the original video). adding to this; when pixy starts his "opposite sides of the same coins" monologue and then the lyrics start saying "you're just like me, trying to make history" is absolutely godly. the choice of music is perfect not only because the song itself goes pretty hard for a boss battle but because the lyrics fit perfectly with the context of the game. funny thing is that thanks to this video i went and read the lyrics to see what the song was about and my mind was blown that this song belonged to metal gear and not this game. i wouldn't even be bothered if this song was used officially for Cipher v. Pixy's battle.

If the events of this game had occured in a Metal Gear game I wouldn't even think twice.
So this Cipher took over for Major Zero after Zero got riddled with Parasites.
Metal Gear fighter jet spinoff. They had a hack and slash spinoff so this wouldn’t be too out of place.
This could have been a perfect final boss battle for a metal gear game.

The idea behind the way you fight Pixy in this is just insane and absurdly ANIME Fight Scene;
The entire game you're encouraged to flank or get behind your enemy for a perfect strike that they can't block, but here? You're charging head-on towards someone who is effectively your equal in skill.
Every time I see you squaring towards him and charging on makes me see two things:
A Jousting Charge;
And the Final Showdown's synchronized cuts between the Protagonist and the Villain, where for what seems to be eternity, no one feels anything - Standing in place after slashing one another - Until the enemy starts spilling blood and falls to the ground.

that was the whole thing with this game wasn't it. The whole mercenary Knight meter which determined a lot in the game. The irony is the final showdown is simply a joust between a white and black knight

Actually, Cipher knows his plane is not a tool of justice. Cipher, Pixy and PJ resembles the Mercenary, the Soldier and the Knight. Cipher is the mercenary, canonically he just shoots to everything that move, no matter if it is a threat or not. During the Belkan war he killed a lot of enemies just for his own profits. In Zero, we can see almost all of his allies and enemies talking about him with both fear and admiration, the admiration is because of his skill, but the fear, is because he is a ruthless bloodthirsty with no flag, if someone would offer him a better pay, he would change side on the front. Still, it's impossible to know how Cipher actually felt about what he was doing. Since he incarnates the Mercenary, I think the duel with Pixy was not a combat motivated by his sense of justice. In that moment, Pixy was the only man that could stop him, and the only pilot who could compete with him. Also, Pixy said in the last interview that everytime somebody was talking about him, he smiled. I've always interpreted that as a full description of Cipher's mental state. He was born to be a demon, and proud of everything he has done.

@@the_mobius_strip3906 Well, Belka made a total invasion of a lot of countries in the same moment, including OSEA. There was NO WAY they could actually win the war without any allies, fighting against Osea, Sapin, Ustio and other countries, being totally surronded. I wouldn't have changed side neither, it was only a matter of time. Also, even if Ustio would have been got absorbed into Osea, Cipher probably wouldn't care. After the war he disappeared, so I think he left the country, searching for a new combat zone to fight again, probably keeping a low profile this time since we didn't know anything new about him after the end of The Belkan War.
Also I think the XB-0 bombing to Valais pissed off him a little since everyone could get killed on the ground. Totally legit if he wanted to kick AWWNB's ass.
Gotta say, this has sold me on Ace Combat. I will definitely be buying 7 after this.

This is everyone’s fault, Belka did nothing wrong)

This video came in my feed hot off the trails of me finish MGRR and after watching it I immediately got this and played it in a single sitting. Holy shit what a good game that was, so much stood out to me as both fun and/or amazing. The fight with the big laser, the bombing of the city, that big ass plane, the nuke, fighting Pixy and even just the post game cutscene was all just so fucking good. 11/10 would recommend. I’d get around to continuing 7 if I wasn’t stuck on the first mission that has you blowing shit up to meet a score that’s too high in a time frame too short
AC7's Long Day really isn't that bad, especially if you've already beaten Zero. There's plenty of videos of it if you want to get an idea of how to go about it.
If you think AC7's filler missions are bad, just wait until you get around to AC4.

this video is literally just perfect.
the way my guy was playing perfectly synced to the music (even better than the original video). adding to this; when pixy starts his "opposite sides of the same coins" monologue and then the lyrics start saying "you're just like me, trying to make history" is absolutely godly. the choice of music is perfect not only because the song itself goes pretty hard for a boss battle but because the lyrics fit perfectly with the context of the game. funny thing is that thanks to this video i went and read the lyrics to see what the song was about and my mind was blown that this song belonged to metal gear and not this game. i wouldn't even be bothered if this song was used officially for Cipher v. Pixy's battle.
Still coming back to listen to this every once in a while. Such a great vid.
