This is EXACTLY what I wanted to watch today! Also, I love picking up old cameras to clean up, fix, sell or keep! I've done a handful and enjoy the process. Great video!
Canon's user interface on their point and shoot cameras is really enjoyable. The Powershot line is what got me hooked on photography, and now I'm enjoying my time in 2012 with a Lumix FZ150.
Interesting line-up once again ! It looked so familiar: the Olympus D-720 is a VR-310 in Europe! I got one in as-new condition for less then $10 at a thrift store with 2 batteries! Nice p&s but a bit soft image. I like the in-camera charging option. All you need is the right USB cable (same one that Panasonic uses in it's later models). Other interesting find was a Panasonic FZ-3 for €5,-. It is also from 2004. Very compact, 12x zoom, 3 MPX and electronic viewfinder! Complete with the rather huge 'flower' lens hood.
@@pricklypearcamera they are build like a tank, if dropped it brake the floor, lol. I own one and I don't think you'll have hard time selling it for around $300 as a kit.
the colors on that 1st Olympus! The G5 is a pretty sweet little find (especially for 5 bucks)! I have a Powershot G9 which I like to carry on the daily. Clean that puppy up and it'll sell fast
You get such great finds in your camera adventures, have you had a chance to shoot the Olympus C-2100? I was given one as a gift unfortunately it's stopped powering up but it takes such beautifully warm pictures I might even have it repaired.
I’ve just got a Nikon p500 and it’s in decent condition! Sadly, There’s some dust inside the lens with minor fungus. Any ideas on how to get the dust off?
@@armybanana343 bummer to hear! Due to lens construction on the bridge cameras, this is a very tough fix, there are some youtube videos on similar models but I have never been successful.
@@pricklypearcamera But the joy of finding cheap digital cameras is worth it!😂 Hope you upload a new video soon! Will definintly subscibe and wait for your new video of a hopefully box full of Camera GOLD and not lemons!
Do you ever see any of the really old digi cams like the Apple Quicktake (100/150/200) or Logitech Fotoman? I know those are not cameras most people would want to use, but it seems like the collectors are snatching them up and the prices are going up as well.
I've only had one Quicktake in a lot and that was 3 or 4 years ago, haven't seen a logitech fotoman. I have noticed prices of the old Apple's going up a fair amount as well, you're absolutely correct.
Ixus 960 IS is the follow-up to the Ixus 900 Ti, both which have a titanium shell, though the later model must have preferred to emphasize the Image Stabiliser as its main feature instead of its titanium casing
@@pricklypearcamera It is a fun easy camera. I installed custom firmware so I could take RAW photos. But I did experience the dreaded E18 lense error. I did try to fix it, but ended up making it worse and I had to replace it, I got a beautiful used camera in box with all accessories and a leather case for about 50$. I am curious how the camera holds up today compared to similar cameras, and pricing in USA.
I observe the used market but I am not buying or selling much. I observe a decline in sales.. Lots of cameras dont sell at all. I also see a decline in quality. Very bad condition cameras are on sale. What is your take on the actual situation. Is the hype a bit over?
I think the hype from covid era times has died down a bit, but I think the root issue is that most of these cameras were made 10-20 years ago, and supply i drying up- and age is starting to show on those well used models on the market.

Cool! Yes- gigantic lens hood on a few of those older Lumix cams!
Hi Kevin I really like that OMD EM-10 camera, wow it's an amazing small M4/3 body and great quality!❤
It really is!

Interesting range! What was the model name of the Samsung cam?
Ooops, forgot to mention it! It's the Samsung WB35F.
Do you have any "MINI DV" camcorders available for sale?
Not currently, sorry! I should have some Panasonic mini DV's (a couple) up in the next few days!

I have a Canon G5 and I love it!
Nice!
I have the older G3. Surprisingly good for its age.
Sweet!
e-m10 is a great cam used it a lot for macro photography
I use a CF adapter on my Canon 5d so that you can use a micro SD card rather than a CF card....
I really hope that a PowerShot SD550 shows up one day. It’s the only digital camera I have ever owned. Mine is the European variant IXUS 750.
That was close one with the IXUX 960 IS.
I do see Canon SD550's occasionally! I will keep my eye out!

I replied, it's "like-a-camera". My first Dad joke. 🥲
