Why?! Why?! I have been a lieutenant in corrections, once the individual is in restraints, and not appearing to be a threat, already on his stomach and in restraints! Monitor the individual, if he’s no longer a “threat,” and complying, sit him up! Unnecessary use of force! So glad that big ol guy and the lieutenant are being arrested, detained! Some do suffer severe PTSD if they see actual combat, but a majority of these young vets I believe suffer from mental illness before they join the military...
Most mental illnesses don't start manifesting until early adulthood/late teens and progressively get worse with age...so they might hear voices or whatnot but it's not regular...
Someone like this Marine probably had some mental illness already and as he got older the signs become more severe esp w/o treatment...
Until he starts exhibiting serious signs and acting erratically in public and law enforcement begins to arrest him...

Reason why is because they didn't like the side effects of the prescribed drugs, and hated being a drug addict on the illegal stuff. Many eventually didn't make it. R.I.P.

Those kinds of traumas yes the victims will act out by abusing drugs, prostituting themselves, involve in criminality/gang activity, etc..
But for the most part they're not acting in erratic, unpredictable or illogical behavior...
Carrying a knife in public, yelling at random strangers and threatening them doesn't fit that pattern of 'regular' trauma...
I hope you get what I'm driving at? This is highly irrational behavior that isn't considered normal..

He could have attacked the other inmates during his encarceration. These correctional guards are not doctors or health professionals, They have training but not the training that is needed to deal with these types of conditions. It looks like a lot of force was use and also the ex-sailor let them know that he couldn't breathe and they continued to subdue him. What a sad thing to see this happen again after this matter has been discussed so many times, even in the congress the United States of America. How did this inmate get ahold of meth inside the prison? Why are they focusing 99.9% on the knee, but only 0.1% on the fact the inmate had drugs in his system? And I’ve seen hundreds of videos of a certain group screaming on the top of their lungs that they can’t breathe, the second they’re placed into cuffs.
