TH-cam would rather remove dislikes to prevent "hurt feelings" than actually take action to make things better by getting rid of these stupid bots. They need to make the reporting process easier on mobile as well. It shouldn't take 10 clicks on the mobile app to report an account.
honestly, what the bots do is really really hard to fix, but the removing dislikes thing was completely unneeded
Problem is that on mobile, it redirects you to the web browser version of TH-cam to report the channel.

I have been getting these comments all the time and questioning why no one is talking about how they got more repetitive, I have to mute all of them and delete notifications so my parents do see it and think I'm doing something bad, hoping TH-cam gets rid of them

I just go to their profile and block them but now I can't because they reply to my comment and then they delete the reply so that I won't block or report them. now I just mute them and hide my notifications but I still hope we can find out who started this. the person who started this is a disgusting. horrible human being. or it was just probably some random kid who wanted to mess with us then his plan failed and made these bots reply to every comment. they reply to me a bunch of comments that are not even relatable to what I just said. I talk about something else and the only thing they reply to me about is how good and entertaining the creator of the video is. like bruh I was not talking about how good the creator is. I was just commenting a joke comment and they still don't care. I reported them before they started to delete their comments after 1 second of replying to me but TH-cam does not care. the only thing TH-cam probably cares about is money and the new creation of a TH-cam account on their website. now I will have to start watching Daily Motion. Daily Motion is just like TH-cam and its a platform with no comments. so if you go there you won't have to worry about getting these every again. or use story fire. story fire is like TH-cam to and it has its own comment section and there are 0% s*x bot comments there. these are the perfect places for you if you are getting a lot of these
A bot commented on my reply with furrys, what a nightmare…
Just had a conversation with a TH-cam supporter. She told me to report the comments so the comments get flagged. It feels like they don't even care or know how big this bot networks are. I blocked now over 200 of this channels (i searched for them and blocked them) and they still are commenting with other accounts. So frustrating.

Yep, because they copy and paste other people’s comments, just like this dude replying to your comment a short while ago. I witnessed one of those bots replying to a comment using one of my comments on the same video! They had copy and pasted my comment and used it on someone else’s. And they do this is every comment section I’ve seen them in to make them appear knowledgeable.

ps: we've seen this same comment-copying technique also used on Reddit bots, for years. On popular threads there was entire "conversations" with these bots replying to eachother, it was never entirely clear if it was bots or just some people referencing some weird inside-joke that outsiders don't understand.

I've had an experience with these comment bots and I have a theory. I think they choose random profiles and attack all of their comments on different videos. I noticed that once one replied to me on one video, another replied to me on another video and it just kept going on all these different videos. So yeah, that's my theory. I hate these things and thanks for doing a video about it.

Okay, so with youtube's ability to detect "politically incorrect" speech in a video for the purposes of censorship, AND their ability to detect your use of copyrighted music, that they would be able to detect these bots quite easily which are copying someone else's comments in order to avoid spam detection. This problem seems super easy to solve on youtube's part. Question is... do they give a shit enough to do something about it?

This has happened to me on multiple occasions and it doesn't seem to be stopping. First its the "Oh yeah yeah" bots, then the "Click this link" Bots, then it was the "Click my prof!le" bots, now its the "Give me hate comments" bots.

Yea I was getting some of these a few weeks ago, it took me a while to know for certain they are bots, the bots replies are close enough to being about what I commented that I wasn't certain if they were bots, then on some of my comments about more specific things, the replies started to be unrelated to the contents of the comment, just being about the video itself, then I reported any I saw

Recently I had to deal with these adult comment bots, once I commented on a video and it didn’t get popular as usual but one day I checked on it and I had 2 replies I was like wohoo 2 replies then I checked what they were about let’s just say after I figured out they were adult channels I reported them this happened just one day ago.

I also get alot of them in my replies recently and needless to say my mother was sitting right next to me when those notifs pop up and I actually managed to press close quickly to avoid suspicion. I had to press Hide the channel's comments and the notifs itself. They pop up every now and then but at least in less quantity or rarely seen. Well thanks for addressing the situation.

I can't believe this is still going on. Every time I post a comment on any video, seconds later a spam bot replies to my comment. EVERY TIME! how are they doing this so fast?
Idea: Put Captcha's on commenting. I would get annoying but would most likely fix the issue.
Or just ban people with inappropriate names from comenting

I’ve seen these too much. I’ve muted reply notifications from them all, so I won’t hear from those bots for some time. Always mute reply notifications from these bots

I’ve done some research into these bots because they have annoyed the hell out of me. It seems all the linked websites are all hosted through the same ip by the same person/group.
Also, as for a potential solution TH-cam could implement, I think they should actually just setup a team to manually review reported comments (or if they already have a team for this then it needs some expansion). People do seem to report these types of comments, and I’m sure more people would if reporting them actually had a noticeable effect.
