    My favorite B vitamin with Niacin (B3) - bit.ly/38wEcnW
Niacin from food is converted into nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) and NAD phosphate (NADP). These active forms of niacin are then used by enzymes to perform energy-producing chemical reactions. Thus, your cells would struggle to make energy without them.
NAD works with many other enzymes as well, including those responsible for protecting and repairing your DNA. This helps explain why deficiencies are linked to advanced aging and degenerative diseases. In fact, studies have shown that niacin acts as a powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent. Plus, research has shown that the incidence of cancer and oxidative stress increases as NAD-dependent enzyme activity decreases.

Years ago when I first heard about niacin, I enthusiastically took a 1000mg cap. Yea. I was flushing like you would not believe. The next day, after I'd recovered, I started at 25mg, and still got a hell of a flush. Now I take Inositol nicotinamide, which gives me the dose I want, without setting me on fire🙂

🤎I take Niacin somewhat on the regular and I've noticed that not every pill gives me a flush and I was wondering if you had some ideas as to why?

I was previously diagnosed with parotid squamous cell carcinoma. Does taking large amounts of niacin increase cancer growth? I have heard that cancer patients shouldn't take NMN because it causes new blood vessels to form, and there hasn't been enough research to determine NMN's effects on cancer. Cancer patients, from what I understand, are known to have low niacin levels. Thanks!

Dr. Osborne can you share with us what you mean about taking it periodically? What is your personal "flushing" schedule and dosage? I get the flush at 100mg of Niacin. I've been taking it for a month and it hasn't gotten any better. Thank goodness I'm getting used to it, going to move up to 200mg per day soon - already took a test dose and the flushing was not significantly worse. Ciao from Italy! L

I wonder if capsules of cayenne has some of the same effects..and if it's okay to take when having a bout of high blood pressure or using niacin when you're having a high blood pressure episode?

Nicotinic acid has a nicotine molecule and I can attest that I have quit smoking, although I'm still on the pouches.
