This is why I’m so proud of China. My parents are Chinese, I’m too, but born in another part of Asia. People here are much friendlier, and more open. They don’t act racist as much, like in other countries. It hurts how many people discriminate china and make fun of them. Hope more people see videos like these.
The same thing is with Caucasians. A lot of people discriminate us when we are in another country but majority of us love all foreigners when they come to us.
@Erkinbek Muńǵylhan that's not true. I studied at China for a month, and they don't teach the kids to hate on Japan or USA. You probably saw it on the internet or heard it off from some random person. Chinese actually don't hate the Japan or USA, they just had a bit of beef between each other many decades ago. Ofc some people may still dislike the country because their family died from the war or something, but the past is the past. CCP government doesn't promote racism! In fact the chinese if they saw a foreigner they will be really curious because they don't see them often in China. Who would visit a country which has been discriminated a lot? If you think it from a foreigner's perspective I don't think there will be a lot of tourists.
@Erkinbek Muńǵylhan you have ur opinions, I don't know where you got it from, but I have my own perspective. If that's what you like to believe, sure, but you gotta give your proof that racism is promoted in China before you comment.
I am an Indian. I really did not know that China is so good! BTW I have watched a few C-dramas and I actually had a good impression 😅 Now I am thinking to visit China. People are so friendly and non-discriminative. That really impressed me. The main thing is to I have to learn Chinese first. 😆
China iran Pakistan Bangladesh are all great and very clean countries. The only shit country in that subcontinent is India and surprisingly all Indians think they live in the best country. Ignorance is bliss.
I am easily fascinated with how people in Asian countries react to people of African or Caribbean descent it's crazy to think that people can be amused just by a skin color
It's like that in countries where they don't see many foreigners. My best friend is blonde-blue-eyed but grew up in Ghana, Colombia, and Korea and she has photos of her surrounded by locals in each county. In many areas, she and her mom were often the first white people they'd ever seen, so they'd stop, stare and many would want to touch her. She said she was always asked by other kids if her eyes were real.
Well I don’t see how that’s weird if you live in a very homogeneous country, culture and society where no one has seen someone like that before regardless of ethnicity. Especially in Asia this is very true. Many Chinese people has never seen a white person before, let a lone a black person. I live in Norway, and even though we are more multicultural now as there are more refugees and immigrants here, growing up I was the only brown person in class, and I didn’t see other POC until high school. I didn’t befriend black people until becoming an adult as I had never had the opportunity... I have the opposite problem tho, in certain places in Norway, they’ve never seen a gay person before, let alone Asian, and brown!
There are black people that has certainly never seen a white or Asian person up close and personal before... it just depends on where in the world you live, and what you’ve been exposed to.
Same same, I’m filipino and there are lots of foreigners in Philippines. I’ve seen a Chinese tourist group going crazy taking pictures of a blue-eyed blonde boy. I guess in most areas of China there aren’t a lot of foreigners. Also i think their movies and shows are mostly chinese media, so they don’t get to see a lot foreigners even in film and tv. Interesting discussion! Please no hate, i just like to discuss these insights :)
I'm chinese now stay in UK lol. China is very homogeneous, so usually ordinary people can't meet other races in daily life compared to Europe or US. So I was quite fasinated when I met black people in UK and have some nice Nigeria friends lol. I was like wow that's real black people! Not the ones I saw on internet. I even touch her braids because I never seen such lovely braids, they are so special compared to normal ones XD. Lovely video! Stay safe and have fun in China! xx

I live in Australia and had cornrows recently and an elderly couple were staring at me and first i wasn't sure what they were about but they immediately smiled and said you are beautiful . People really do admire certain looks and hairstyles so if ppl stare it's not always for a bad reason :)
I really like Asian people. Once I had a date with a Japanese guy, he looked at me as if I were a princess. He also wanted to touch my hair hahah. Said it looks like cotton candy. 😅❤🇧🇷 Beijos* from Brazil.
You’re very pretty and your hair is so poofy. I’ve met multiple black people in Atlanta, but I hardly meet anyone who lets their hair into afros. 🤔 I remember when I first met a black girl at school I wanted to touch her hair. She was obviously over people asking her that but she didn’t decline. I felt bad but I was more fascinated. I live in a town where there’s hardly any black people and seeing her made me so surprised. We aren’t friends but we do follow each other on IG because she sent a request to my private acc. :D So I’ve never touched an Afro and compared to then I’m more aware how awkward it must be to ask to touch black people’s hair. I was 10 years old then so I was pretty ignorant asking her that.
Chinese are relatively more straight forward than other east Asian culture. Also, majority of population, especially in smaller cities, have never met some one different than themselves, except in TV. Try to enjoy it I guess, lol
I really like this girl 😂 most people would think they are racist and say how racist Chinese are which really hurts. She was so understanding and her Chinese is 👌🏻
@Estela Lopez Chinese (mainlanders) can either be, accepting of Black people but is very curious of their differences and isn't aware that what they're doing may or may not be racist - not accepting of black people at all and stereotype them on first meet and openly discriminate them - finds them "strange" and tries to avoid them - Has already met Black people who already understands them at the level that most Americans do and really doesnt give much crap anymore so they just treat them normally.
Racism exists everywhere. It’s so annoying whenever people assume China is racist. Every country is racist! 😆 But it’s a hot topic whenever it’s Asian countries to other people. Even if I met a Chinese person who was racist to me, I wouldn’t label all Chinese people as racist. It’s just a matter of people nitpicking which bad traits they want to apply to countries or stereotype countries. US - corrupt gov and racist. UK - corrupt gov/expensive living. Something like that.

BTW I have watched a few C-dramas and I actually had a good impression 😅

China iran Pakistan Bangladesh are all great and very clean countries. The only shit country in that subcontinent is India and surprisingly all Indians think they live in the best country. Ignorance is bliss.
Welcome to China
I live in Norway, and even though we are more multicultural now as there are more refugees and immigrants here, growing up I was the only
brown person in class, and I didn’t see other POC until high school. I didn’t befriend black people until becoming an adult as I had never had the opportunity... I have the opposite problem tho, in certain places in Norway, they’ve never seen a gay person before, let alone Asian, and brown!
There are black people that has certainly never seen a white or Asian person up close and personal before... it just depends on where in the world you live, and what you’ve been exposed to.
there are many chinese ppl living in Jamaica, i'm studying chinese and i so want to visit one day
Same same, I’m filipino and there are lots of foreigners in Philippines.

You’re very pretty and your hair is so poofy.

@Estela Lopez You will find those types in any and every culture or ethnicity. It doesn't speak for the entire group however if one or two were.
@Estela Lopez Chinese (mainlanders) can either be,
accepting of Black people but is very curious of their differences and isn't aware that what they're doing may or may not be racist
- not accepting of black people at all and stereotype them on first meet and openly discriminate them
- finds them "strange" and tries to avoid them
- Has already met Black people who already understands them at the level that most Americans do and really doesnt give much crap anymore so they just treat them normally.

@@ilovegunwoo4508 it’s true. you can easily mess up what you’re saying if you don’t use the right tone xd

I've really met nice Chinese people. Very kind, friendly and to a black person, I was very surprised because of what goes on on internet. By the way, I don't live in China.
