I love glassware, too!! We have far too much. I tend to love free glassware, though…like our wine glasses from a wine festival or glasses that were free at a winery. I enjoy reminiscing about the origin of glasses like that when using them!

The thing with having a bigger car is parking in a space between two cars at supermarket so I park further away then you can take more space without offending anyone and you don’t have to worry about knocking their car and they don’t knock yours plus you get steps in.
I’m so excited for Vlapril, but I hope it doesn’t add to your stressors. Hopefully some of those other things weighing on you will resolve themselves soon. I’m glad, at least you have Keegan to lean on when needed. Sounds like you are coming at the addition of kids to your life just right, with the friend/uncle vibe. Both of my parents got new partners/spouses when I was an older teen, and “older responsible friend, who can sometimes give advice or help” is just the right way to approach it. Glad you get along with the kids so well!

Being a part of kids' lives is an important new life situation. I know you are a careful responsible adult. Kids are resilient but they're also sensitive. Teens even more so. Taylor seems mature but she's still figuring everything out. Just make sure to follow Keagan's lead. I know you and Lia used to do a ton of UK vs USA types of videos. I'm kind of curious about how parenting is different. But every single person parents a little differently. I was def the helicopter anxiety parent. I'd never have left a 10 year old by himself. Maybe you should try a meditation app like Calm or Headspace to help you relax. Also as an SUV driver I can tell you that you will eventually get used to your car and the space that you really need to whiz in and out of traffic. I tend to hold my emotions in... except with my poor, dear, close friends. But I can boohoo all by myself with seemingly no actual distressing input. It just happens. The mind finds a way to heal itself, I guess. Being a public person like yourself, I think you show all sides of your life, and that's truly commendable on your part...😊❤️. Also, a friend once told me that when backing up, go only as far backward as you need to pull away in front without hitting anything...it keeps you from backing into anything by going further than you should or need to. I like to drive small cars because I lived in NYC, and that's what worked there with the challenging parking on the city streets. Love your vlogs, and I'm looking forward to Vlapril. Don't burn out my virtual friend... we aren't going to hold you to anything as much as you're going to hold yourself to. Yay to VLapril. I'm just gonna say it but mango isn't a fruit that I like. I prefer either Pineapple or Dragon Fruit. As for driving an automatic verses a stick shift. I'll take the automatic anyday of the week. I've tried driving a stick shift and failed miserably. I never knew that they get a 2 week break for Easter. Is that like our Spring breaks here in the states?
Love your vlogs Joel. You do a fantastic job of just showing us your normal everyday life and especially the dog walks. Question on the dog walks for both of you. It looks like sometimes you guys are on someone else's property and sometimes you are on a made trail. Are these trails and open areas open to all people or are they on private property where you have to ask to use those areas to walk? Hey Joel, Recently started watching your stuff. And I felt compelled to reply here, concerning your feelings on step-parenting. As a person who has both a step-mother AND a step-father, I would encourage you to rethink a couple things. First off, kids can ONLY benefit from having another positive role model in their life, and adding you to theirs as Keegan's partner is not subtracting from any other parent's role. My step-mother really stepped up and became a much more maternal figure for me in my life. She is a great parent and a good friend. when I think of the maternal figure in my life, it is her I think about. That does not mean I love my mother any less, or think less of her, but in my case, distance just meant that she didn't raise me after a certain point. Conversely my Step-father is not really a figure in my life. We don't really have a realtionship, and don't see eye to eye on a few things, and he had no hand in raising me or anything. However, he is a good person, and treats my mother very well, and makes her happy/loves her, which is all i really need from him. My point is, do not downplay your potential impact and role to the kids. You don't have to be a parent, if you don't want to or arent ready for it. But don't dismiss how you relate to them either. I know you and Keegan are not married, but if you do end up going that route, and it becomes official, then I suggest you not dismiss it out of hand. You can just be the cool step-dad who they go to for advice on books to read or something. Its the connection that kids need and want, as well as the knowledge that you care for them, and the labels are whatever, but I think you might miss out on something if you just dismiss it out right. Sorry for the long message, hope you know its not meant as a rant or accusation or anything. Just my 2 cents to think about. Cheers!
Love your "day in the life" vlogs. Nice to see more interaction with the children. I too felt the same way when I got my new car. You'll get the new sight lines and it'll be second nature soon enough. You do have the rear view camera for backing up? Looking forward to a month of vlogs.

I’m so exited for Vlapril, but I’m worried about you over stressing yourself. I remember a very stressful time in my life when I couldn’t relax either, I couldn’t sit and read a book, take a long bath, etc. That’s not a good feeling. I have to say since you’ve been around the kids I’ve been so impressed with how natural your relationships are with each other. I don’t think there is any need to put a label on yourself like step-dad. I think it would be nice to have a conversation with the kids to hear their opinion on how they feel. I would only have the conversation if you and Keegan feel it’s appropriate.

I went from a Mazda sedan to a small crossover Outlander and felt the same way for the 1st year it's because your sitting higher and they weigh more !!!
I am one of those people who doesn't like mango. It is a texture thing I think. I won't eat plums, apricots etc for the same reason. Will eat them if they are cooked. I am realising there may be some autism responsible for my little foibles. I have never liked running with the crowd and prefer to be an individual. Love people but happier with people I know. Never been a fan of the office Christmas party. I was a nurse for years and it taught me how precious life is and unless it is life threatening it is not worth worrying about. Put my priorities in order.
Mangos are good..I cut them up and mix them together with fresh cut up strawberries......wonderful....I just hate cutting up the mango as they can get messy

I went through the same thing, I always wanted to press the clutch. I still keep my hand on the stick shift in my A5.
If you want something that looks like glassware, but is ALMOST UNBREAKABLE, go with clear, sturdy acrylic drinking glasses

Love your "day in the life" vlogs. Nice to see more interaction with the children. I too felt the same way when I got my new car. You'll get the new sight lines and it'll be second nature soon enough. You do have the rear view camera for backing up? Looking forward to a month of vlogs.
It's probably right that you don't share your problems with us, after all, this is not a drama channel. It's enough for me that I enjoy a beautiful couple and your amazing dogs.;)

I’m so exited for Vlapril, but I’m worried about you over stressing yourself. I remember a very stressful time in my life when I couldn’t relax either, I couldn’t sit and read a book, take a long bath, etc. That’s not a good feeling. I have to say since you’ve been around the kids I’ve been so impressed with how natural your relationships are with each other. I don’t think there is any need to put a label on yourself like step-dad. I think it would be nice to have a conversation with the kids to hear their opinion on how they feel. I would only have the conversation if you and Keegan feel it’s appropriate.

I am one of those people who doesn't like mango. It is a texture thing I think. I won't eat plums, apricots etc for the same reason. Will eat them if they are cooked. I am realising there may be some autism responsible for my little foibles. I have never liked running with the crowd and prefer to be an individual. Love people but happier with people I know. Never been a fan of the office Christmas party. I was a nurse for years and it taught me how precious life is and unless it is life threatening it is not worth worrying about. Put my priorities in order.
Mangos are good..I cut them up and mix them together with fresh cut up strawberries......wonderful....I just hate cutting up the mango as they can get messy
