Texas A&M just put in a new park and it’s absolutely FILLED with thousands of these wax mallows. They’re starting to fruit now and I may just take a day to harvest a few bushes worth. I love these so much, especially mixed with black tea in the morning.
I must have started years ago with a male plant. I've cut and poked several twigs and have plants all around my property and not one of them get fruit.
I get lots of flowers but I've never seen any berries. The plant is easy to propagate but if I have a male, that's a bummer. Had them for several years, 6ft tall and over.

I never get fruit on mine.
My berries don't make it in the house. I eat them as soon as they are read. Delicious
I'll give it a try. Mine produces pretty good each fall. I've got a sister in Coppell that has pink Turks cap. My try some of it too.

Tea can be made with the flowers too! It’s similar to hibiscus tea. Just dry the flowers and steep in hot water, or use them fresh and do the same!
