First off spot your truck closer to the shot....which creates less travel time to and from the truck. Use your throttle lock and run the machine full throttle it's made for that. It makes the hydraulics work faster, use your decelerator pedal to slow you as you approach your truck. Travel in second gear, set your machine to down shift automatically once you begin to dig. Don't back away from your truck so far. You'll cut your load time way down and increase production over a shifts period. My company requires 30,000 ton of rock moved in a 11 hour shift from our 992 g and k operators. I've operated one for 16 years.
