Periyar E. V. Ramasamy was against the wrong principles of Hinduism, He questioned the superstitious beleifs and practices in the name of religion. Moreover he was against caste system in which people were supressed in the name of god
Periyar brought in rational scientific outlook into hinduism, he helped to move towards real practice of hinduism such as meditation and yoga rather than pointless rituals and evil caste system.
