I think movement is one aspect, but it seems more like a symptom to a bigger root problem -which is bad positioning forced by a frequent tunnel vision mindspace.
Now, from a basic approach, your positioning is actually quite good. You take off angles, you don't just run into the enemy's face, and you don't hard chase kills most of the time. However, this is generally only consistent in the setup phase. Once the fight truly breaks out, you have a habit of leaving a position with good cover, and find yourself out in the open which is not ideal. This forces you to rush your blinks, lose track of where you want to be when you do get pressured, and that leads to bad movement simply because you suddenly have way too much to think about.
Basically it can be summed up as:
1. When you are not under pressure (typically in pre-duel situations) you have fine mechanics for your rank.
2. When you are under pressure (typically mid-fight), your mechanics gradually worsen as you tunnel into higher and higher risk plays.
This is especially evident when there's one major aspect you're tunnel visioned on, such as landing a pulse bomb. It's very evident that your brain just switches into "omg I have pulse. I must allocate all my brain power to ensure I have a chance to stick it on a target in front of me" -and this tunnel vision makes you lose all sense of positioning, mechanics, aim, and timing. Often you straight up just walk out into the open straight at the enemy with no care for anything besides "must hit pulsebomb! must hit pulsebomb!".
Another example is when you're being chased down by someone, you quickly get very tunnel visioned on "omg I'm in danger!!! must escape! must escape! must escape!" -and you basically end up tripping over your own legs because your mind freezes up completely due to how focused you are on the fact that you're being chased.
If you were in the exact same situations, but had a calm mind without tunnel vision syndrome, you would instantly have twice as consistent movement mechanics, awareness, and positioning, no joke.
So, if you want to improve, what I want you to get into a mindset approach, is the idea of limit testing. In situations where you're under some degree of mental pressure, don't worry about dying. Don't worry about what the enemy may do to you. Don't worry about landing that pulse bomb at all cost. Just test your limits like its a deathmatch vs bots. Free your mind from the constraints of failure paralysis, and just focus on the task at hand.
So, Do this to the best of your ability:
Dance around the enemies, be a slippery fucker. Be as slippery as a T500 reddit Lucio. That's your goal. Doesn't matter if you win or lose, just twist the enemy's ankles any time they dare pressure you. Make them look like fucking fools for trying to engage in a duel with you. That should be your goal and your mindset.
Don't worry about running back to your team. In fact, fuck your team. You don't need them. You're sonic running circles around the enemy players. Just do this over and over. Treat your pulsebomb like a convenient ability you may or may not have available. Don't try to force it, just use it whenever it feels convenient to you -like you would use a blink. If you miss, fuck it. You'll get another one soon anyways.

I recognize myself in this, although I play tank, nice read thanks for sharing👍
@@odalvaas1443 I'm happy if you found it useful :)
Well written. Well said.
5:52 "the payloads never die!"
lmaooo
Doing an extremely slow 180 just to try and blink away is making my eye twitch. Just blink backwards unless you’re completely leaving a fight lol
14 MONTHS AGO?! Time flys by fast
i like the reel from 14 months ago! it helped see how much they did or did not improve :D!
some players are so obsessed with kd saving that they feed the other team in an attempt to NOT feed the other team ... this person seems fearful of engaging if they have the chance of being shot back at, which makes it difficult for them to do practically anything -- theyre so afraid of dying that they make no moves. it is okayyy to dieeee the game is not based on elims, but on plays (also the random running to the health packs at full health wahahaha)
i feel like maybe it would be cool to have the link of the previous video in the desc to compare how far the people go
Emongg, I look a lot of VOD about OW2. I want you to know I really enjoy your content, not because it's the most original, or because the gameplay is the best (even if both are greats) but because you are a really nice guy diped in tolerance, pedagogy, clear-sightedness and kindness. I think most peoples have to learn from thoses features. (If I seem weird, it's because english is not my native. Or maybe only because I'm weird :) ).
Wholesome 🥰
A tip that has helped me with Tracer was, "Always think about where to blink to next." Blinks are super valuable to Tracer so you should treat them as such. If you think about what you're using your blinks for, you'll waste them less. Same with Recall
I know you said they're on PC but the crosshair movement SCREAMS controller
You can hook a controller up on PC but idk if that keeps you with the “PC people”
@@KYLNG7 nah its basically just playing console on a pc
Could be controller on PC. My buddy plays that way and it triggers me so hard hahah, but he's just more comfortable that way and doesn't want to commit to the m+k switch even tho he has a 4090 build xD
Might be low sensitivity
As a console player I beg to differ. The crossbar movement screams low sensitivity
17:16 me when my dog go into the car i was cleaning
4:47 It also feels like their sensitivity is really low
I feel like sens is completely preference. More of their problems come from downtime.
Play not to lose. I took tae kwon do years ago and my instructor often said I was fighting not to get hurt. I thought he meant I should fight TO get hurt. Nope, he meant what you said: fight/play to win.
Looks like they're playing with a steering wheel.
14 months!? 🤯🤯🤯🤯
Thats a whole 1000 sr. Thats good. Yeah, trusting their instincts to take angles and make plays is what helped win that game, getting in the habbit if setting that up and going in at good times will help them climb.
They made good plays, keep doing that.
Jeeez. Friggin homie could atleast jump while running in a straight line..
ALRIGHT SO!
IN TODAY VIDOW
this doesnt happen always but how would you recrommend switching up gameplay if you taking off angles and gett 2pepples attention/a kill but your team still plays passive and doesnt push in, as a rat player, how should i switch up to play better for my team?
pepples is such a cute typo lol
I'd maybe recommend upping the sensitivity too, the aim may drop off in the short term but think it'd help in the long term.
if you're going to keep doing this "where are they now" series it would be nice to link to the first video in the description
It’s called parking the bus because the defensive team essentially puts the whole team in front of the goal they may as well have parked the team bus there 😂
I feel like it was more that they weren't familiar with the map than " playing hide and seek".
I know because when I first played overwatch I often went on a really long road thinking it was actually way shorter
They’ve been playing for at least 14+ months tho and this map isn’t new at all so that excuse really wouldn’t track.
Man, they really do play passive, might as well play this along side an idle game with how passive they are OR take up someone like Sombra since they can actually pick and choose when to engage a bit better
This feels like someone who looks at the scoreboard and uses it in arguments. Bad blink management. Kite around and use the environment to your advantage. Instead, they panic blink, then try to run out in a straight line.
They play like cassidy with sombra invis lol
This is my goal for support and tank in season 12 I fell to bronze 1 at the tail end of season 11
Basically spent the whole time wandering around looking for opportunities instead of making them. Still big improvement though. Numbani isn’t the easiest Tracer map especially if they’re running insta shots on you. I would like to imagine this isn’t how they’re playing on maps they’re more comfortable with.
Only 14 months? I’ve been stuck in bronze since Season 10 of OW1
Long way to go 😂 21:11
Love the football analogy
13:04 in soccer:
Play not to lose = Italy
Play to win = Brazil
Also, about "making a play"... guess it depends on your hero's strengths. Because whenever I try to flank with Ashe and get the backline, in 2 seconds I have a Sombra, DVa and Moira slapping the dog water out of me.
The enemy zen was rolling this tracer 😮
the tracer might want to watch some jay3 he's consistently has the most deaths in the game but is still top 500
Dallas cowboys fan and the number of times I've seen them play this "prevent defense" instead of stop defense and make us lose games because of it, has made me stop watching almost altogether. great analogy will look to able to my own tracer gameplay (tracer main)
How do I get that “Love” gun?? 😱
NO WHAT DOES PARK THE BUS MEAN, I NEEDED TO KNOW D:
Good climb good sir
BRARDMONGG
Alright so
Digimon
Yeah Spain was the better team. England had no business in that game. Germany got shafted.
tracer is so hard to play
Just stop playing on controller
I don't think I've ever seen someone insist on playing tracer without playing tracer. If not willing to get off the cart it's time to get off the hero.
So you CAN play 24 minutes of Overwatch without having ANY influence on the match. Nice.😂
This is actually probably the worst person you’ve spectated lol. This whole video was frustrating. Atleast they know they were spectating.
No no, he’s watched cheaters who’ve played worse than this, WAY worse.
tbh i dont think it was as frustrating as you said it is, they're just noob
I am Bronze now from gold in DPS after these stupid changes in OW. Truly I am starting to dislike the game. It is not that thing anymore. It had flaws of imbalance but now i feel like what am i even doing in this game....
Third
First
Their Aim looks like aimbot it jumps instead of beeing smooth. Followed also the zenyatta trough a wall.
be serious their aim is not even good at all… there’s no way you think this is aimbot 😭💀💀
Your just saying that because they landed more headshots than you lmao
This is why i dont like playing with noobs they don't know how to bring value or benefit the team properly or know how to maximize their role!! OVERWATCH IS NOT CALL OF DUTY!!!!!!!!
well they're not a noob bc they've been playing the game for at least 14 months... so...
@@praiselinny yet still doesn't understand how to bring value to the team
@@definiteg4909 then maybe offer up some helpful advice like emongg does instead of calling them names in yt video comments
@@praiselinny I'll do whatever the f**** I want and call out dumb ish if I want to. That's emongg's job to give advice not mine. I don't give a f**** if your feeling are hurt in the comment section. Get good at the game and don't hold people back.
@@definiteg4909 you're a mess, i hope your weird attitude gets you permabanned
This person is utterly lost
Not going to lie, I'm kind of disappointed with this one. After 14 months, I expected some exciting gameplay, but he just kind of sat in the back doing nothing the whole time.
