At a private club, it’s the member’s responsibility to make sure all rules and etiquette is followed…even if you’re Ricky Fowler. Meanwhile, one of Tiger’s entourage is there to simply fill divots.

This just solidified why Rickie is my favorite golfer. He's such a down-to-earth guy, a class act of a gentleman, a genuinely nice guy, and still makes the time to do stuff like this for his fans and Rick's channel. These 2 guys are great for the game!!! Thank you both!!!

I think Rick was playing it cool. But for such an insanely demanding course...I think Shiels played his best golf in years. He stepped up to the challenge. Coulda easily shot 15+ over
He also started with two doubles. Actually threw two shots away in over the first two. One tap in putt silly miss and then that thinned chip over tbe back
I watched Ricky play oh about 12 years ago when I was in high school an he was playing Colonial in Ft. Worth Tx an he came off the course signed my buddies hat stayed and signed so many peoples things an talked to people was probably the nicest pro golfer Iv ever came in contact with in my life what a great man he is.
Ricky is one of the best. He stood on the 1st Tee box at the PGA Championship at Southern Hills for over a hour in 100+ degree weather with no breeze or shade. Just a man with a Sharpie signing Autographs and taking photos with well over 200 fans. It was awesome to be apart of and just shows how much he appreciates his fans.
The fact that he gave that much time to the fans says all you need to know about him. As for the weather there, I'm from the same area as him in SoCal, and trust me that weather is probably nothing to him. That's an average summer day out here in Murrieta
Hands down one of the best golf vids on youtube ever! WHAT a shot into the last green by Rickie!! I hope he gets a tournament win in 2023 and challenges for the majors.👍
Man! What an absolute Class Act Rickie Fowler is, I'll tell you what! He's was continually the only player at the Masters showing up 6:30 a.m. or even before to watch Arnold, Jack, and Gary hit their opening tee-shots on Thursday when his tee time wasn't until after lunch. He's always 1 of/ or *the* only guy staying late after tournaments on Sundays, sometimes he's finished early in the morning or even times he hasn't even made the cut and waits untill the end of the day Sunday to congratulate the winner in person with a hug. He's immediately repairing all the fairway divots with sand in this video as a pro, even doing so for Rick too... he's soft spoken, kind, respectful, and extremely knowledgeable about not just greens but slopes, like most all tour players are, but extra knowledge like where water is running back towards the drain will always indicate which way the grain is going in the Fairway. That's a good tip especially if you play Bermuda chipping into the grain can be tough versus a thinner bladed cool season grass. I'll tell you what man... he is just an absolute humble wonderful guy. Doesn't brag or boast and acts as a caddy for Rick with yardages and shot shapes, also uplifting him after a bad shot. He could just as easily give Rick a hard time about how poor he's playing or act unimpressed. Congratulations Ricky- these are the traits that make a real man!

@@PJCatania that is true good observation. Seems a top bloke as well and has a bev at half time. Great watch. Beautiful course in that late afternoon light as well
Thank you Rick for the opportunity to experience these courses up close and personal. When you take on these superstar athletes your subscribers always root for you!
Based on the yardages it seems they played from the “Tiger Tees”. So Rick shooting 80 on that beast of a course is impressive as hell. On a side note hearing a clubhouse referred to as a halfway house is hilarious considering the different meanings of the term haha
Honestly cannot express how great this video truly is. What an experience. Rick, you are truly in a class of your own creating TH-cam Golf content. Cheers!😎🍻

“Take care of the course, and it will take care of you” Rickies natural instinct after both his and ricks shots to grab the sand bottle is really cool to see. Ashamed to admit I often forget to do so. Cool to see that a guy who’s gotten to that level is still able to maintain such a class act
lets not beat his back in.. it is one of the finest courses in america, as well as a home course, how would you expect less of any golfer much less a professional.
I remember watching your videos years ago with just you and Pete at the range. The growth you've had in not just your channel, but your career has been amazing. Keep up the fantastic work Rick. Hope all is well! Cheers!
A feather in your cap Mr Shiels! Your list of matches with great golfers is growing. Nice to get to know Rickie Fowler a little better thanks to you. We could actually see your relationship develop through the game, strangers at the start, and not so much at the end. Rickie seem to be a nice guy!
I think this was the best -10 match Rick has had yet. I think Rickie really helped provide a very relaxed atmosphere; you could see how comfortable Rick was with playing. Good video guys!
One of the best vlogs this year, what a great guy Rickie is, always helpful and supporting. TBH, this type of exposure actually shows Tour Pro's in a much truer light and let's us see the person behind our TV influenced perceived persona and all seem real people who you would cheerfully have a round with.
We all know what a great player he’s been, having been through some tough times it great seeing him coming back…. I will still bet on him winning a major sooner or later but what a great guy, sanding divots etc, definitely not a diva.
@@freddiejones4598 My guess is you’d play from a different angle to cut out decent amount of the carry. I hit the ball a decent distance and even my average carry wouldn’t be much longer than 200 yards.
That must have been a nervous but also a dream round. What a true sportsman Rickie is as well, explaining strategy and giving excellent advice top man!
Same age as Rickie, watched a lot of Rickie and Rory when they were tearing it up. I think Rickie has always been top 3 in my list. Also Rickie topping one for the camera is amazing lmao

Rick this was the greatest golf video I’ve ever seen on TH-cam, truly great job. You stepped up to the occasion and made it a competitive game and I watched this like it was “The Match” on tv.
I've watched RS videos for years. This is my favorite so far. My ADHD kicks in and I can't even watch a 1.5hr movie with my family, but I watched all of this at one sitting.
I love Rick, but looks like Ricky was done by Hole 6. Then, he had a become a caddie, but then I'm commenting after watching only 9 holes. I understand the course is extremely tough, but Rick looked incredibly nervous for the first few holes.
Absolute class content Rick. It’s incredible to watch these pros play alongside you, and to see you holding your own a lot of the time. Can’t wait for more 👍🏽
Was never the biggest Fowler fan, but since I watched this video a couple of weeks ago, I've been rooting for him. He comes across as very down to earth, polite and likeable.
Purposely. Pros will top the ball to practice dialing in their low point control. Bryson has a video explaining it. They practice it that’s why it was a perfect top
This was a great video, really enjoyed watching you both, it was great to see Rickie Fowler being such a gentleman, filling in your divots and just generally being nice!
Rickie Fowler - just watched the rocket mortgage classic playoff. You're my hero!!! Well played sir and well done to Rickie Shiels for making it happen (it wasn't butch and your hard work. It was shiels).

Testimony to good upbringing....Fowler was the true member host...fixing divots for his guest and guiding Rick through the course. Best part of the video was watching the Gentleman that is Ricky Fowler. So Cool!

By far the best vid on this channel. Both super talented golfers yet very humble guys. Here's hoping Rickie gets back in the Winner's Circle again soon ⛳
Rickie is a GREAT KID ! A True Gentleman and family man. I wish him nothing but the BEST ! Medalist is my favorite golf course in Fla….if ur still in Florida May I suggest playing Ernie Els @ Turtle Creek …it’s down the road from medalist
Ricky reminds me of Freddy Couples in this match.......he is so smooth and nonchalant in his demeanor and stays within himself which allows him to play great shots....and he seems to accept his mistakes and move on.

Just from the intro I could see Rick swinging and striking harder than usual. Can’t wait to see it🎉
Love Rickie cant wait to see him get rolling on tour again. He probably has the smoothest putting stroke in the game.
Yeah mate there were cameras on him at his home course wym
What a genuinely nice guy! Again thanks to Rickie for taking the time for the challenge and great vlog Rick and team.
We all know what a great player he’s been, having been through some tough times it great seeing him coming back…. I will still bet on him winning a major sooner or later but what a great guy, sanding divots etc, definitely not a diva.
Thought you were talking about Rick until you mentioned the major haha…
Back with Butch Harmon and I believe we're gonna see the best Ricky we've seen in years. Major in future.
Rickie’s swing looks so solid, not as flat as he had it before. So many shots never left their line. He looks primed for a comeback this year.
He’s been playing great recently. I really hope he breaks through soon
@@prestonfights4534 He was so close this past weekend at the US Open!
What a fucking call, he’s been having the best year in a decade
@@johnhiggins8263this comment aged so well

That 1st tee shot is unbelievable. I wouldn’t even be able to carry it far enough!
I don’t even play golf but the thought of having a course where nobody could do the first hole cracks me up 😂
@@freddiejones4598 To be fair, amateur golfers would play from further forward. Even so, that is one daunting opening tee shot!
@@deanlowdon8381 even if it’s further forward surely hitting 200+ must rule out quite a few golfers 😂
Sorry carrying 200+
@@freddiejones4598 My guess is you’d play from a different angle to cut out decent amount of the carry. I hit the ball a decent distance and even my average carry wouldn’t be much longer than 200 yards.
That must have been a nervous but also a dream round. What a true sportsman Rickie is as well, explaining strategy and giving excellent advice top man!
Same age as Rickie, watched a lot of Rickie and Rory when they were tearing it up. I think Rickie has always been top 3 in my list. Also Rickie topping one for the camera is amazing lmao
After watching this, Rickie is definitely one of my favorite golfers. Such a chill and down to earth dude.
Great video Ricky Shiels. I am a huge fan of this 10 shot series against tour pros. Can’t wait to see who you will take on in the next episode of this challenge.
What an unbelievably difficult course, great stuff and thanks to Rickie for being a top bloke.
The podcast was just terrific and genuine
Thank you Rick for getting us average golfers close to the action
👍🇦🇺⛳️
My big takeaway was Rickie fixing the divots for Rick. Humble. I'm going to do that for my playing partners from now on.
That was awesome to watch. Rick you played great, for a course that you’ve never played. I always love watching Rickie play. Good luck for next season Rickie.
My 2 favorite ricks
It's so entertaining to watch a match up between pros and Rick. Thanks Mr fowler for agreeing to do this video.. 👍
Fantastic! Love seeing Ricky playing. Hope he gets things going on tour.
Damn that was AWESOME!!! What a great day that must have been…..Rickie seems like such a down to earth genuine guy, I feel he’s going to have a fantastic 2023 season! 😎👍
He’s not because he never sign autographs or takes pictures
@@danielcampbell4711 you sure about that? He signed mine 😃
Amazing video - Ricky seems like such a good guy and well done to Ricky for +8 that course looks so hard.
Agreed. After Rick starting +4 on the first two holes, +4 for the next 16 holes on that course from the tips is very fine playing.
What a genuinely nice guy Ricky is. You gave him a good run Rick and you played some great shots.
This is was unreal. Ricky seems like a class man.
God Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit will guide and provide for you always. Faith over sight and fear. Fear God. Jesus Christ is the King of Kings…

I love Rick, but looks like Ricky was done by Hole 6. Then, he had a become a caddie, but then I'm commenting after watching only 9 holes. I understand the course is extremely tough, but Rick looked incredibly nervous for the first few holes.
Unreal 😂😂😂😂😂
@@arnaudlambert6028yep, it’s a little uncomfortable A LOT
Absolute class content Rick. It’s incredible to watch these pros play alongside you, and to see you holding your own a lot of the time. Can’t wait for more 👍🏽
Was never the biggest Fowler fan, but since I watched this video a couple of weeks ago, I've been rooting for him. He comes across as very down to earth, polite and likeable.
0:58 hahaha does Rickie top one on purpose here?! that does feel like his sense of humor to do that in Rick's intro
The man knows the timing perfectly
The way he holds his finish definitely makes it seem like it was on purpose. I was dying from laughter when I saw it
🤣🤣
Love him or hate him, Rickie is such a chill dude and mad respectful! I wish him nothing but success on the tour!👊🏽
Rickie Fowler - just watched the rocket mortgage classic playoff. You're my hero!!! Well played sir and well done to Rickie Shiels for making it happen (it wasn't butch and your hard work. It was shiels).
That was awesome to watch! I think Rick shot 1 over on the back from the Tiger Tees! That is really impressive! Also, I live in Florida for 8 years and know the Bermuda grain, so difficult to pitch on. You’ve put out some incredible content lately!
Ricky is legitimately my favorite pro. Very modest & always calm. A true gift to the golfing universe.
Shooting 80 from the tips at Medalist is pretty darn good, especially when you start double-double
Oh thanks. This needed a spoiler alert! 😮
@@SmokeyRobbo why are you reading the comments before the video?
@@-chaquetaamarilla-7400I’m bad about this… I love scrolling thru while I watch cause usually something happens and I gotta see if anyone else noticed😂
Fowler’s accuracy is so Impressive, & made Shiels play better then I ever seen him. This is the BEST VIDEO I’ve seen recorded from Rick. Thanks Rick. Other videos is too much commentary and less confidence.
Thanks again 🤙🏼
Great video! Rickee has always and still is the epitome of class!! What a down to earth guy.
Testimony to good upbringing....Fowler was the true member host...fixing divots for his guest and guiding Rick through the course. Best part of the video was watching the Gentleman that is Ricky Fowler. So Cool!
Brilliant content. Thanks so much, Rick. You are the absolute best. And I come out of this liking Rickie Fowler better than ever! Cool dude!
This was such a watchable video. Great work Rick and team. More of these, please!
I just want to say thanks to Rick Shiels & Rickie Fowler for giving us this video. What a gaff. Brilliant stuff.
One of your best games ever, and what an awesome guy Rickie is , a touch of class he has. I am in awe of his swing. Got to win majors now he is destined for them.
This is one of my favorite videos you’ve made. RF, Medalist, kept it close to the end…great video, Rick! Loved it!
I think this was one of the best 76minutes of my life thanks Rick!
Amazing video as usual Rick! The new Cobra driver Rickie was using looks sweet.
Seeing Rickie Fowler get after those divots tells you everything you need to know about what kind of man he is. Class act!
Awesome video. Another class act with Rickie Fowler. Thanks to both of you
So fun watching these collabs,, don't ever stop
Two of the nicest people playing a round of Golf together, you love to see it. This made my day!
Ricky warmed up his chat after the halfway house 😜…second shot into 18 😎great video
Just such a laid back guy to be one of the most famous golfers to ever live. Love this content both great job!
Ricky reminds me of Freddy Couples in this match.......he is so smooth and nonchalant in his demeanor and stays within himself which allows him to play great shots....and he seems to accept his mistakes and move on.
Freddie would be an awesome get of the channel.
One of the most enjoyable rounds I’ve watched… 2 pals playing a round with comments and down to earth people 😊
