“Almost everyone is rubbish at Manchester United” bro that killed me. Since when was Alfie’s humour that straightforward 😂
Is it even a joke if it's stating an objective fact?
You're easily entertained.
@@iiNeedSkinsIt’s hilarious in the context of Alfie’s videos because he is almost never that straightforward with his critiques about teams
Came here to make a joke about right wing politicians but Alfie made that pretty redundant straight off the bat 😂
Same FFS 😂
It's okay bro, you tried. Just goes to show that Alfie is one of the very few people on TH-cam talking about football who have an IQ higher than an average clickbait victim.
You wouldn’t think he would either
Hahaha, same
It's fine as long as he does the same about left wing politics also.
All wrong, the best right winger since the 2000's was my uncle before his catastrophic career ending knee injury while
Don't do Niran like that.
😭 his knew injury was fatal... 😭
@@DGAMINGENI was about to vouch for Niran 😂😂😂
Was thinking niran too lol
he was also wrong about messi completing football. he’s still trying to win a champions league with inter miami
Great anaysis. Messi plays LWF, RWF, CF, SS, AMF, and...sometimes he looks like he's playing as a CM! He can just do it all! Insane.
Only geniuses are trusted or allowed to play anywhere on the field. Players like Di Stefano did it first, then Cruiyff was another then Messi you can easily pinpoint their playing position.
The closest player doing that right now is Kevin De Bruyné, he plays as a right singer, SS, AMF or a CM as well or switch to the left. Pep shouts at other players moving too much out of position but never at KDB because he knows he is a genius and trusts him
@@phistoltv5196KDB isn't on messi level
@@immensepowerr he did not... they are exaggerating it a bit. but he did play deep when he had to.
Calling Bale the Real Prince of Wales is a nice touch
We all knew who was going to be number 1. But also glad to see Salah getting the respect he deserves (as a Chelsea fan, so disappointed we didn't nurture him into the player he is today)
I have a feeling he wouldn’t be as good of a player if he stayed at Chelsea
@@langletprolet8378you my friend, are 💯
@@langletprolet8378he could've been world class for chelsea but he's perfect for Klopp's style of play
You can add Kevin de Bruyne, Harry Kane, and even the likes of Nathan Ake and Tariq Lamptey to the players that Chelsea didn't appreciate and shipped off to other clubs...
@@mihaiazimioara6591yeah but they've also had their fair share of amazing players under Abramovic . Now under Boehly it's not looking great.
Salah being in 2nd place is perfect, having scoring more than 25 goals for 7 years and 3 golden boots, while breaking the prem record of scoring on his liverpool debut year. Hes finishing is immense coupled with a ton of assist is something not sung about by people, i rate him higher than any other rw besides messi.
Robben at the 2014 world cup was even miles better than in 2010, 3rd most world cup motm behind the 2 goats aswell. Like said in the video, if it wasnt for his injuries…..
the 09-10 Champions League campaign is one of the best indiviual ones of all time, too. 11-12 tragic, but also outstandig, 12-13 the redemption arc with the crowning in wembley. In Bundesliga and the german cup (semifinalgoal vs Schalke, still cumming) he was always there for the big moments. He definately was always more THE guy than Ribery. His injuries were bad, but didnt hinder him on more than a decade greatness. Hes way beyond Bale as a RW and Salah
Wait for what did cr get that many motms at world cups lol
@@Prandei a CL campaign where he was outscored by 7 other players, iuncluding team mate Olic and bloody Bendtner (and didn't create a *single* assist either in the whole campaign) does not seem like one of the "best individual ones of all time". And then in a final against probably the 2nd worst team ever to win the thing (only Porto in 04 were a weaker side) he melted, doing nothing at all, as his side were comprehensively beaten - he also did nothing in the SFs and team mate scored the vital hat trick. Ribery had the same number of goals 4) as Robben in that campaign - from only 26 more minutes (but without any penalties); the difference is he also got 7 assists and was the driving force in most of their matches.
İ THİNK ROBBEN BETTER THAN SALAH AND BALE
Outstanding introduction. I forgot that it was meant to be a video about the Top7 RWs and thought it was a football-political topic by Alfie again.
Honestly thought I was watching the wrong video or the title was wrong😂😂
No effing surprise that a left wing person, would become political the second he said right wing
@@danielsnekkerhaug141Waaaahhhh
Calling Sanchez's 500k contract a setback is the kind of setback I would want in my life 😂😂
This is your best intro yet😂😂😂
It's a good list. But I miss one honourable mention: Ludovic Giuly! He was amazing at his best!
who
@@rhodriregan939 Have you heard of google? Might provide an answer.
@@rhodriregan939 what do you meam who dude?? That guy was fucking insane with Monaco and Barcelona
@@AnouarOumansour no one knows who that is unless you’re like 30. He’s clearly not great if he was playing in my lifetime and I’ve never heard of him.
Class player. Great shout.
A long term subscriber of this channel and I tune in for every video, thus very familiar with Alfie's humor, but I the last thing I expected is for him to know Wilders 😂😂 thank you for making my day.
To think there are people out there at all who look at Figo scoring 169 goals, as a winger, and think 'pah, that's an awful number, what was he playing at?'...absolute madness. He was a bloody winger, and he still scored more goals than the vast majority of first-class centre-forwards manage throughout their entire career. Just like John Coleman of Accrington Stanley (who?), I'm rapidly falling out of love with the football fans of this modern era. I know that's not what he said, but it fits well enough...
Figo is better than sanchez by a mile.
We need a 7 of the most frequently appearing players/managers on this channel, in terms of background images used. My guess is that Duncan Watmore, Freddy Adu and Eddie Howe would take the podium places.
I had such a hard thinking who would be number one ☝️ 😭😭
I was legit only not sure who would be number 1 because as Alfie said I didn't know if Messi would be in this list or the CF list lmao
Same but it's probably because I always thought of Messi as a shadow striker on the account of him scoring and assisting too many goals
Hey Alfie, can you please do a video about the Luxembourg national team and their remarkable rise? I seem to remember reading an article (about 20 years ago) on their plan to become a 'decent' footballing nation through a national academy and a plan 'to not let any talent go to waste'. Unfortunately, I can't find this article anymore, so I'm interested to see if this plan really came to fruition and is the basis of their current success. Hope you'll consider my request and thank you if you do!
Been looking forward to this one since the series began. Not because of the rankings, I was just anticipating that intro
Robben in 4th is a crime
Where would you see him then? Personally I would have ranked him higher than Bale. But that's a close call.
@@AblemanSyI think he should be 2nd tbh. Every one of Salah's Liverpool seasons are incredible (his first one is better than anything that Robben has done) but I think that his seasons outside Liverpool, which weren't quite world-class puts Robben ahead of him who, despite injury problems has been among the best for some 400+ odd matches. However, there are many arguments in Salah's favour as well.
@@soumyadeepbanerjee964 fair enough! That would work for me! Although maybe he deserves 4th just for his diving :)
My list before even start to watch this video: Beckham, Figo, Salah, Bale, Di maria, Robben and the GOAT. And yes, Beckham is so underrated
he's always been underrated. terrific defensive player and far tougher than people gave him credit for.
Now this list makes more sense
PERFECT LİST BRO
İ THİNK ROBBEN İS SECOND PLACE AFTER MESSİ
Thanks Alfie for mentioning Kuba Błaszczykowski. As a Pole, I had a feeling that only Borrussia and Polish fans appreciate him. I think recent Polish team's downfall was caused by lack of people like Kuba in our squad. 11 dickless people running around, no passion, no will to fight to your last breath for your country. Exact opposite of Albanian team, which beat us in qualifies. If any Albanians are reading this, we are really happy for you guys, you earned it. We also feel sorry for Moldova, they deserved play-offs more than us
I always think Bale's peak was on the left in his last 2 seasons at Spurs tho, classic left winger play, beating a player and putting a cross in. He was completely unstoppable for a while there.
Love the intro and the content! Please do a breakdown of the coming Euros, with focus on the minoes
I did expect some right-wing puns. And boy Alfie doesn't dissapoint.
PS: The Comments are really funny to me. How can you watch more then one or two of his Videos whitout knowing where he stands politicaly. He is pretty open about that in most videos.
Mainly because it’s so easy to be a shill for the government and major media outlets so it’s low hanging boring fruit. 😂😂😂
Conservatives arent good at critical analysis unfortunately.
So long as he does the same for the left wingers as well!
@@michaelrowell7798 he won’t. He’s smart when it comes to football, but not smart enough to detach himself from his own biases
@@hitthurdeaux Why would he need to detach himself from his political opinions to make a video about the best LWs since 2000 though?
That intro caught me so off guard and I absolutely love it!
That intro is class
Robben was definitely hard done by here. Personally he’s better than Salah and bale. But I do agree with the fact that Salah is under appreciated and better than bale
Bales prime was just crazy I think that's why and people look at it through a nostalgia lense while salah is basically so consistent it's not special anymore it's just seen as normal so they under appreciate him
It's kinda like how people under estimate messi dribbling and finishing cuz it's so often and consistent we think it's normal and some people feel Ronaldo long shots and step overs are highly rated cuz we also look at it through a nostalgia lense as well
@@BiggestBirdonMars how was Bales' prime just crazy in hindsight though, at least in PL terms - 2925 PL mins, 21 goals and 8 assists at an average of a goal or assist every 101 mins. For one season - the previous, where he started to do better was 10 and 14 from 3217. At Real, his first 2-3 seasons were brilliant - but La Liga at the time was a much much easier league to stat pad - first 3 seasons, 47 goals and 33 assists at a GC every 80 is definitely better than in the PL.
If we look at Salah at liverpool - across 6 full seasons and a third of the way through a 7th - he has averaged a goal contribution every 87 mins - way better than Bale's peak at Spurs, and not that much poorer than Bale's peak 3 seasons at real (which were skewed by playing less because of injuries, and it being a weaker league) - and much better than Bale's entire career at Real, which is 81/47 at a goal contribution of one every 100 mins (basically the same as his peak year at Spurs). If we compare peak years - Bale's peak was 2015/16, where from just 1738 mins he got 19 goals and 11 assists (for a goal contribution every 58 mins) in the league and 3 assists from 644 mins in the CL (so if you combine both, a goal contribution every 72 mins); Salah's is his debut at Liverpol, where from 2921 mins, he got 32 goals and 11 assists (for a goal contribution every 68 mins), and 10 goals and 4 assists from just 931 mins in the CL (so if you combine both, a goal contribution every 72 mins)
Robben's best stats come from his time in Germany. In the Bundesliga he got 99 goals and 62 assists at one every 87 mins (but like Bale, was in a weaker league playing for a dominant Bayern side) and 25 goals and 19 assists at one every 117 mins in the CL for Bayern. But before that, his record is a lot more mediocre - at Chelsea, in the league he averaged a goal contribution every 167 mins, for Real one every 153 and at PSV one every 140. So across his career, his record is much more average than Salahs (for Roma he averaged one every 118 for instance, in a team who were not top 4; and at Basel, one every 134).
I'd argue that this fact is what separated Salah from Robben - more consistent across all his clubs (bar Chelsea of course). Robben also had far fewer games (he never played more than 1800 mins for Bayern in the league - which meant that he often missed periods of the season, and was not available) - his peak was 2010/11 where he played just 1133 miins for 12 goals and 10 assists (this season, from 4 more mins, Salah has 1 more goal, so you could argue that it is similar to the first 3 months of this season) but only played 158 mins in the CL (for 2 assists). So with Salah, you know he will always be available (outside of AFCON) whereas it was a lottery if Robben was (in his 9 seasons at Bayern, he never played more than 60% of the mins in the league,m and only 5 times played more than 50% - Bale in his first 2 seasons played 60%+, and in the next 5, played 50%+ in 3 of them - so far more available). That has to count for something
CRY BABE CRY ROBBEN İS BETTER THAN GOLFER BALE@@scottv1600
Wasn't Sanchez a LW?
Came to the comments looking for this question
Predominantly RW at Barca supplementing Messi as a false 9
Great intro, as always!
FIRE intro as per usual
Casually starts a football video with a politician 🗿
Robben needs to be second. Bales got some 3 or 4 great years at the rw, thats not even similiar levels.
I was surprised to see him as low as 4th
The intro is amazing I love it :D
So thankful to hear Messi represented as such - he genuinely is *the best* at so many techniques.
#1 = Me, on every Fifa game lol.
Equal with Luis Figo on Fifa 2002 because he had perfect max stats in that game.
Haha I came to comment about George W. Bush being one of the greatest RWs since the 2000, but not even a second in you beat me to the punch. Class Alfie lol
Okay, after this (though small) part of the intro, you have to make a "top 7 players who played, well, everywhere on the pitch"
For players like Milner, TAA, Zhirkov and im sure more i have forgot or never heard of
He's made a video on greatest utility players tho. Check it out
How about ‘best politicians turned footballers’?
Lahm easy No. 1 for that one.
Big John O'Shea
Add Perisić, Zinchenko, Saka to spice things up
i thought this one might be a tricky one like left wingers to because yu've got wingers, inverted wingers, inside forwards...great video as always though!
Day (lost count +47): The despicable despotic president of Bangladesh Football Federation
i love Arjen Robben because after his absolutely brilliant heist, he made a few commercials for Telemundo where he smiles at the camera and says SI FUE PENAL. that type of trolling will get you a top spot anywhere!
I always think of Sanchez as a left wing because of his time at Arsenal (where he was incredible) but he was so good on the right too
When I saw the title of the video I thought to myself "surepy alfie will deliver us with a good political pun" and boy was I RIGHT...
I wasn't expecting that joke🤣
Insane opening to the video
I basically agree with the ranking. Curious to know what Fifa ratings people would give these players? I'm considering both their overall career and their peak, with slightly more emphasis on the latter:
Messi 98
Salah 91
Bale 91
Roben 91
Di Maria 88
Sanchez 89
Figo 92
Beckham 89
Pedro 85
Sterling 87
Mahrez 87
Agree with most of these but Di Maria at his best is an easy 90 rated
Di Maria 90 for sure and figo 93 and Messi 99
Salah 92
I prefer tiers:
Messi >
Figo >
Robben, Salah >
Di Maria, Beckham, Bale >
Sanchez, Mahrez >
Pedro, Sterling
My list from least good to best before watching: Sanchez, Figo, Di Maria, Salah, Bale, Robben, Messi
Probably the toughest one to make tbh, aside from 1st you can basically have anyone
Mahrez > sanchez
Might as well try to name the next 7: Nedved, Son, Mane, Ribery, Hazard, Neymar, Ronaldo
@@nizarnor5763 ain’t no way
@@kpbcomps27 sanchez one club pony
@@nizarnor5763 that’s just all the proof I needed to see how much of a casual you are
The intro just smoked me 😂😂😂
Honestly, both Robben and Di Maria should be confortably above Bale.
Love the sterling shout out
Well this raises the bar for the best left wingers video
Best strikers can be a dark horse pick too
You should link the previous videos in this series in the description.
Salah is the only “new Messi” who is actually living up to the hype.
it would just be best to never compare anyone to messi, let them be themselves
what are you on about messi and ronaldo have been world class since their teenage years mo salah had a couple of world class seasons and that's "the new messi" ? jesus christ he was a flop in so many clubs
de bruyne> salah
@@LocalNoob_2Chelsea is not "so many clubs". He was a success in Egypt, Fiorentina, and Roma.
If anything, Chelsea's the exception
@@NorthingsDellas 6 puny goals for fiorentina in the league,0 goals for chelsea, and an alright season with roma scoring 15 times in 30 games and assisting 11,i wouldn't call fiorentina a sucess, and he wasn't just bad for chelsea he was one of the worst players, still nowhere near world class career imo had a good 5 year spell when people you compare him with have 20 years of world class year after year...levels to the game kiddo
Alfie with the 200 iq move: Starting your video with a political joke so people start argueing in the comments to increase engagement and thus appeasing the algorithm.
I disagree!!
Brilliant content as always!
Agree with all the rankings, thank you for giving Mo Salah his flowers 🙂
Playing Fifa too much made me automatically think that Alexis Sanchez is a LW so when I saw him in this RW list, I was kinda suprised 😂
'The real Prince of Wales'.... Oh Alfie you sweet talker 😍🏴
i was gonna comment “7. Boris Johnson” but the video starts with a similar joke 😅
What an intro 👏🏻😂😂
I remember seeing Sanchez on the left more
Great video but on around 6:50, that is Sanchez' teammate and countryman, Isla.
After I saw the intro, it got me (almost) thinking about which one is the best right winger in Argentina today, Milei or Messi?
That's shouldn't be a question, that answer is obviously messi
that intro lmao
Bro, I totally agree on the real Prince of wales.
Ngl I thought you wouldn’t include Messi & Ronaldo in these lists because they are so obviously #1
He’d get a million comments asking where they are, wouldn’t be complete without them
Hey It's Welsh Anelka or French Bale from 2021/22 season on Thumbnail
I was coming here to debate and enforce my opinions on Alfie but somehow, Alfie made an indisputable 7!
great intro
Your most accurate list of all time
Alfie please do a video about the Glazers and Manchester United
10:32 all i could think of was "no era penal" 😂
Beckham, Messi, robben, Salah, rodrygo. In timed order. Cant come up with twopre that are without question great
Could you please do a video about an Egyptian player called Abu treka and the Egyptian golden team that won three African champion back to back
You forgot to mention 8:47. Fi maria played for juventus as well
lmao the transition between alexis and angel was hilarious. also, messi as a president would be wild and would ruin his legacy. lol
edit: I would argue that even with the injuries, I would put Arjen Robben at number 2. (and thats saying somthing considering how much I hate him as a mexican)
How did Jermaine Pennant not make the podium for this one Alfie?
Hmm... i suppose the lists on wingers will always be tricky purely because many - Bale, Di Maria, Sanchez, played both left and right (and in Di Maria's case, also centrally; and Bale at left back) because of the prolification of inverted wingers in the 00s. Maybe it would have been more straightforward to just have ranked Farage, Netanyahu, Trump et al!
Walcott in the honourable mentions is insane
Will forever love Di Maria but he wasn't Argentina's second most important player in 2014, Mascherano was. He got injured in the quarter final and didn't play another minute. That Switzerland game he got the winning goal in was a stinker up until that point and nothing prior in the tournament either. Thankfully no such injuries in 2021 Copa and in the latter part of the World Cup lol (or just that he was ready for the final :)).
Intro brilliant
I think Robben and Bale are the wrong way round.
Find it quite ironic that Argentina elected a Thatcherite tbf
He's basically a Putin puppet , trump wannabe sadly. Anti semetic, anti Islam, anti LGBTQ+, anti indigenous, anti afro-argentina, anti poor. Promotes taking Falklands and parts of Chile which Argentina claim to own ..
lol
I was gonna make a politics joke when seeing the title but you beat me to it.
6:51 talking about Sanchez. Proceeds to put up a picture of Mauricio Isla. Both played fot Udinese and both are Chilean so I will forgive you for the mistake 😂
1. Messi
2. Figo
3. Robben
4. Beckham
5. Salah
6. Di Maria
7. Bale
😂😂😂 great opening!! 👏👏
That intro 😂
Cant wait for Saka to be on this list
…”The fact that there is still a warrant out for his arrest in Mexico”… 😂😂😂 xd. As a Mexican I can confirm that
7 biggest 1 man teams (shoutout Phillip billing if you choose this for a vid)
Bale is one of the ultimate big game players
What an opener! LEGEND 😂
I can't believe I have to say this on this channel, but the Mexican defender stood on his toes. He may have exaggerated the dive, but it was still a foul. I wish my Mexican amigos would get over it. Blame your defender, not Robben.
Well said. Robben exaggerated but he was fouled.
I'm not too sure about this one Alfie. Figo in my opinion should be higher, Sanchez I wouldn't have included in the list and Bale, as good as he was, also seems a bit out of place for me considering the career he had. After Messi, I would have had Figo, Beckham & Camoraniesi. Anyhow, can we please have a video about Maltese Football ⚽ Thank you
1st What exactly is Right WInger? The old school right midfielder (the Beckham type) who were almost exclusively right footed or the "modern" type (the Messi type - mostly left footed type) that is mix between a secondary striker and a playmaker? Mixing those 2 in one category doesn't make any sense to me. I don't remember Sanchez ever playing on the right and Bale was more comfortable on the left wing (he was pretty much rubbish on the right)
Shout out to Alfie for acknowledging how good Pedro was for Barcelona, Chelsea and Spain. Definitely one of the most underrated players of his generation.
0:21 it is
I agree that Bale was a phenomenom but I'd pick Di Maria over him any day of the week
Absolute state of saying Salah is anywhere near Bale.
what an intro
If we were saying who was better until age 30, Bale would be clear of Salah. But because of the last few years or so, you've got to pick Salah.
