As an East African myself I've had some issues with my edges. I think our edges are just naturally softer/weaker. One thing that helped them grow tremendously was not wearing wigs (bc they naturally put pressure on your edges) and also making sure my ponytails weren't too tight. I also stopped getting small braids. Edges or not edges you look beautiful :)
Just use castor oil and other naturl oils n fats like olive,sheabutter coconut....

It’s the head wraps kiimmy! I know from experience. You have to stop wearing the head wraps for awhile and use Jamaican black castor oil. Rub it in your edges 2 times a day for a least 3-4 days a week.
AshleyEva I’ve cut off headwraps unless I’ve got satin scarves under them ... but the one in this video is satin inside ... I’m really trying to save these edges 😭😭😭😭 I’ll definitely try the castor oil for sure
Tight head wraps, hair pulled too tightly into braids or into a bun causes tension. Using hard brushes to slick down your edges all of these hair styles etc help to damage and thin your edges.
In addition to this, you could try laying off edge control and other gels for a while as well as tie looser ponytails/buns to let the edges rest..

Oh, and since you want some tips for your edges you should try some castor oil or ginger oil. I heard that it does wonders!!!

Use vicks vapo rub for edges, or garlic, aloe Vera. I love it natural way. If not so, use argan products it helps much.

Use peppermint oil on your edges. You can put it on for a few hours on wash day and wash it off if you want. I use it every other day at night and i just leave it on. It has really helped my edges grow.

tips for your edges kimmykay: dont pull it up in one, dont use tight braids, use caps, apply black castor oil and also use aloe vera for promotion of growthe very day, try this for a month!! ps: once you take care of your edges, it will love you back and grow!! there you go beautiful girl!!

Apply warmed oil and mayonnaise and coconut oil in a bowl mix it together apply on edges tie with a plastic bag take it off and wash it out and u will see they will be fuller it takes about one week to see the difference

Tip for edges TZZZ4 hair food! A lot of people swear by it and I do too. That was the only thing that saved my edges after having my children. I tried Jamaican castor oil and it didn't work for me. And of course low manipulation and don't wear wig/ weaves all the time.
Jimmy, trying using dr. Miracle hot grow, my hair was just like your, and it grew back full... I also use, coconut oil.. m make sure you brush the edges..I mean kimmy.
