    Important note: if you do not have access to water in the nether, C5's design is still an option unlike this new design!

      Is it possible to modify it to run in 1.16?

      @@MysteryMob-tv5fp it can potentially work if you mod in carts dropping as one item. Youd probably have to mod in waterlogged rails as well.

    Amazing design! I tried to use the mechanics of the design to create a cart unloader that can erase the momentum of the yeeted objects, so it could be used in a 1 wide tileable multi item sorter, but nothing worked. The powdered snow was promising but the cart on fire destroyed it every time 😢

      if you put a hopper minecart under the cauldron instead- it works on my server, still working out how to power that without two observers spaming a dropper

    I am still having problems, same as with Il mango design, Sometimes the cart will not dispense some time it will fly out as an item to the storage, its random. Must be server related, I tried in SPW it works fine. Can we replace the hopper with minecart hopper over the hopper to catch the minecart faster?

    This hopper locking design does not allow the system to be shut off at any time. If the runs are long and/or the carts are not in sync, the hoppers may become locked before the carts are captured. Do you have a more tolerant design?

      I think i mentioned in the video, rather briefly, that for systems that are too long to get the cart back in time, that all you need is to extend the pulse extender. Also, as mentioned, the hopper locking here isnt really necessary in a practical setting.

      @@inspectortalon The point of hopper locking is for when the system isn't in use. It's quite reasonable to expect the system to be loaded but not in use as there are lots of applications for an unloader. It's a shame there isn't a better way to lock individual runs rather relying on a count-down timer.

      @@oblio if you wanted an alternative, you could use a detector rail that powers a piston to unlock the slices only when the cart is being destroyed. Unfortunately it is more laggy when the piston fire, so i wouldnt recommend it.
      Im not sure what you mean by "reasonable to assume it would be loaded", since the unloaders are dedicated to the specific farm they are being used for. You can control chunk loading, and with proper management it isnt a reasonable assumption. Additionally, with lithium, regular hoppers (while the system is idle) are just as lag efficient as locked hoppers.

    Does anyone have a recommendation for chunk unloading? I built the new design from the video but when unloading some chunks it sometimes doesn't trigger the dispenser to spawn a new minecart. (I can imagine it being caused because its crossing chunks directly in the middle)

    Any reason why you didn't use the detector rail-piston method of hopper locking?

      that causes a lot of unnecessary active lag, which can reduce the rates and/or server/client performance. Locking the system only when in use is a more effective method overall.

      @@DrakePHOSE i dont have exact numbers, but piston extensions (especially with blocks + being in rapid succession) contribute a noticeable amount of lag, even if brief. Torches are also quite laggy, however it is only triggered twice between the start and stop of the system. Additionally to the piston issue, powered rails help ensure reliable cart yeeting regardless of the rail length (given that cart is able to snap to the rail, of course)

    So I play on this Paper server and my hopperminecarts keep ending up in the water stream instead of going in to the hopper, I already changed the design to never lock the hoppers. Idk what 2 do anymore, this bug is killing me.

      There is 1 direction that simply does not work in paper. Try rotating the design, i cant promise it will work but maybe it will help. I strongly recommend trying to switch off of paper if at all possible

    so with this new design, when the minecart returning it will go first to the rail below the comparator and then above the comparator, which leads to losing the momentum so it never reaches the rail which leads to the cauldron, so it gets stuck on the stair, any solution for this? I am playing on a 1.19.3 server, I am not sure if its paper but I think its not
