Theres a better tileable way, it basically breaks the minecart and replaces it with all of the items falling into a stream of water. Its one of the top ones on youtube.

But it only works in 1.19+ because in earlier versions the minecart and chest/hopper drop seperately...

I was trying to refresh my mind as to how to build one of these, so I came here to do that. I'm in a creative world trying to make it work and the damned minecart will not stop to completely unload. Anyone else seeing this happen?
EDIT: I figured it out. Hopper needs to be pointing to the side or away from the comparator, and not down.

My minecar keeps getting stuck when it comes to unloading. It seems like its hitting the block too fast and bouncing off, so that when the powered rail turns back on, it doesnt push

Mine won't stop to unload (edit: you need a chest directly under the hopper, or it won't lock)

It only works if you're looking at it. The game will bug out and not work if you're doing this long distance

I don't know if I'm reading this right but I'm confused on the point of increasing the unloading or even processing speed. If comparators can only read if normal hoppers/chests have items in them and not their minecart versions, than wont the minecart hopper/chest stay there in place despite it being empty because of its rapid draining? I feel like this defeats the purpose since that minecart hopper/chest can't immediately resume picking up items elsewhere and has to wait until the normal hoppers are empty.

To fully unload a minecart with just a single hopper takes forever... unloading a fully loaded chest minecart with my contraptions takes just seconds... so its not worth getting that extra 2s if the minecart is not fully loaded...

since 1.19 u can get the fastest loader just by destroying the minecart hopper since they dont split into separate items anymore and can just redeploy with dispenser :D
