    What if I prefer the classic clusters instead? People should just get the 401a package on the S550s if they're contemplating on doing a gauges upgrade in the future.

    How come some models you can just change the dash but this one you have the change the whole dash and back steering wheel?

    • @DeadlyDragon935
      @DeadlyDragon935 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yea not sure why they went so far the stuff that isnt the buttons on the wheel itself were unnecessary for 2018+. But for 2015-2018 the entire sccm needs to be replaced bc its not designed for digital dash. So if your vehicle is 2018+ all you need is the steering wheel buttons and the digital dash with the brackets. If your 2015-2018 you need the sccm, 3 steering wheel buttons, digital dash and digital dash housing and forscan programming. Does that make sense?

  • @scottieray
    @scottieray ปีที่แล้ว

    Nice...buy I'd rather take that nearly $2500 before taxes and put it on a new Dark Horse...but if you are gonna keep your S550 I can see the appeal.

    • @ClickbaitMotorsports
      @ClickbaitMotorsports ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Except that you can't tune the ECU of the S650. It's also an uglier version of the S550. Oh, and you're always connected to the internet, so nah. Ford can disable your S650 if you install unapproved mods (or place it on limp mode until you remove said mods). I'll take the freedoms of the S550 and the pay the money for the cluster anyday.

    Never EVER just disconnect only the neg side of the battery. If that neg side touches another ground, that whole system is HOT again. Always do the positive side, and you can leave the ground/neg side connected. That way there is no power going through anything no matter if that positive side touches another ground or not. The way he did it had me cringing so hard. Please edit that out.

      This 100 percent not true

    • @brycekurtz2177
      @brycekurtz2177 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Not true. The only way to re-energize the car would be for the the cable to touch the negative terminal of the battery. Touching any other grounding point won't do anything. Place a towel on the negative terminal to keep them from accidentally touching. The reason it is always recommended to remove the negative terminal first is because if you accidentally touch a metal part of the car with you're wrench, it won't create a short.

    • @roryolson61

      Where did you learn that nonsense? You always remove the ground first unless you like sparks! If the ground cable then touches anything metal it will not spark.
