When vans get 600 miles to a charge and can do 125 mph, then they will be more interesting for me. There are a lot of us waiting to see if we can make cool looking electric vans into cool electric custom vans, murals, wide wheels and all, then we will know that the future looks bright and human.
Hello, thank you for your feedback. With current state of battery technology development so much range will be difficult to achieve. Even if you put enough batteries to achieve this range, the van will be excessively heavy (let's not forget it's a vehicle that is used to move heavy stuff which will add to the mass even more.)
@@Datacube All vans start like that, but count the customized vans around the world, they are everywhere, and most people in western countries know of at least one friend who is into them. the new battery technologies look like they will enable vehicles to easily double that range, so i guess patience is in order. lol

Hello, thanks for your feedback. It's not much but there are people that could make it work. Luckily the EV technology is getting better so we might get longer range vans soon.
Electric powertrains are making their way into all types of vehicles, including the vans. Are we ready for all-electric vans already? Share your thoughts below!
I'm super-ready but as I want it for a camper-conversion for use well away from civilisation, only the Buzz comes with a big-enough battery. And that's still 2 years away. The e-ducato isn't too bad (and a comfier size) but I still really want more battery. You didn't include Arrival or Rivian or Maxxus in your list. The latter being already available.

@@batandball617 Possibly ;) I personally think Tesla has been a great disrupter, but I reckon once the mainstream mfrs begin to scale up, they'll probably struggle. I'm waiting for a 100KW cargo van with full solar roof, 110v 20amp plug in the back and ability to cool or heat the cab while parked or charging. Something that looks more like a 60s Chevy Van.
Same here but I want LWB van with a full solar roof, been waiting 20 years and still not one exists in the world yet everyone is waiting for it to happen. The only thing that might keep me from buying one if it comes out is if it costs 100K new or it doesn't have a lithium iron phosphate battery.
I drive a converted 2018 Ram Promaster city van for warm weather camping. I cut two holes on the roof for custom ventilation and have a single giant 320w solar panel covering them. I replaced my battery tray and run only a giant 155AH AGM deep cycle as a starter battery (NO AUX OR HOUSE BATTERY) . The inside config is somewhat different as I store things above the bed vs below it. My bed is on the bare metal floor. This setup works pretty well as a one person stealth micro camper van with its big dual zone 12v fridge/freezer, 1000 watt air fryer, 48" wide bed/couch, 27 inch 12v TV and 2000 watt inverter. When camping I usually run the van engine and AC while parked for an hour in the middle of the day after lunch and right before bed to cool off the inside on hot days. The battery is usually topped off and rarely gets bellow 40% overnight. Details on my channel.
I can't wait for my work place to go all ev. It will be flyers every day with such a poor range and then add becons and flashing signs it won't last 4 hours in a 13 hour shift
