    It's been nearly 20 years since ‪@Honda‬ ended production of the #HondaPrelude and with no replacement in sight, it leaves fans of the #Prelude with a thirst that cannot be quenched. Thankfully, Honda sent us this really pristine 1999 #PreludeTypeSH with only 2,874 miles on the odometer. It sat in the #Honda museum for over two decades and when it was found last year, had only 600 miles on the clock.

      @baronvonjo1929 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's real funny to me. I was born in 2001. So by the time I was sentient and noticing cars. All 90s vehicles look old, full of plastic, dirty, and bubbly. I have more respect for them now than I use too. But they look so cheap. Especially the steering wheels. Some obviously have an air bag that looks like it got shoved on there at the last minute and not even the brand logos have chrome and what not.

    Sofyan, I am so happy to see you do this video. I own a '99 Prelude (not the SH), same crystal blue metallic color as the one you showed us, same 5-speed, and to this day I LOVE that car! As you say, it doesn't have the bells and whistles of new cars. I have to use a bluetooth adapter to play music/podcasts and use the GPS from my phone, but I love driving it. It's not as good a fit for my life as it was when I bought the car, but I put up with its foibles because it's so good. Last year I bought a headlight reconditioning kit and they once again look crystal clear, no more haze. That made a huge difference. The car is SO low to the ground, it's like driving a skateboard around. Good thing it doesn't rain much here, lol. You're right about the overall design, the wide open visibility, the '90s era dash and controls. I'm jealous of how clean that car is, but I've enjoyed all the miles I've put on mine - it loves the corners. The final-generation Preludes have a passionate following for a reason! And yes, they're all made entirely in Japan. It was my understanding that they were built at the same plant as the first-generation NSX. Thanks once again for doing this video, it's great to hear someone rave about an old 'Lude. Stay well.

    Def highschool nostalgia for me. I rmb my friend had a Prelude and we'd go racing almost everyday after school against Civics, Camaro SS, Thunderbirds, from other kids at our school on the long stretch home. We didn't hang out w/those kids at school but we all had an appreciation for each other while racing. Great times.

    I literally live 5 minutes from Honda’s headquarters here in California. I had no idea that this gem was up the street from me.
    Fun fact: Honda did offer leather interior as an option in Japan for this generation Prelude (BB6).

    Always wanted to do a H swap into my 91 CB7. There’s definitely an opening for a 2 door in Honda’s lineup, bringing back the Prelude name would honestly be perfect. The fact that they’re sending this out as a press car is also interesting 🤔

    I have a 1999 Type SH in the same color, crystal blue metallic. My father got it from the original owner (an older lady who traded it in at the CarMax he was working at part time). I got that car as a Junior in high school. I’ve installed a Sony double din radio and an LED dome light, window tint. That’s it. No fartcan, no aftermarket air filter, nothing. The lady before me kept records of everything since she bought the car new. Oil changes, waxes, everything’s dated in a folder along with every key and owners manual. I’ve had the car about 6 years now. I’ll never sell it. 174k or so on mine. Only drive it but maybe once a month now. Still looks brand new on the outside except for a few door dings I got in college
