The Safe puzzle gave it to you when it started at 0990. You just had to push the green button until every panel shows a 9 and then the blue button until its at 5.
I kinda feel like it's relying a bit too much on meta-humour and 4th wall breaks, but I'm still curious to see where it's going with it, I say keep at it
I know it's personal taste, but I feel that the vast, vast majority of meta/4th-wall-breaking is just straight up lazy and bad storytelling. It's what you do when you have no ideas. But there are rare exceptions where it manages to be clever and original. This game... it's not one of those. But so far it's good enough to at least keep seeing where it goes in the hopes that it does something more interesting than "we made a game about a game that's being made!"
I think it just depends heavily on self-awareness, and subtlety, both of which this game fails at. It's way to aware that it's breaking the fourth wall, and does so way too frequently to be amusing or charming in any regard.
"AAA"-games probably where the ones that started this trend, at the very least Ubisoft showed how much money you can make of braindead idiots like that still...
"Error...Text Not Found" "Hello, I am self-conscious billboard. It's nice to see another workman in this town." "We are Watching You." "I'm not impressed. It was way too easy to acquire logic module #1." I think that was all of em, but yeah... that billboard is creepy.
The trick with puzzles like this (19:27) that helps me is just not focusing on the number required, but more so how to get all numbers the same since then you can just spam one button and get whatever the required number is.
I don't know whether to be more impressed with how he totally missed the super easy solution to the code puzzle or that he somehow managed to get it right the hard way.
Pretty cool, actually! I'd gladly see more, and watch you find out where this is going - it was funny to see Ms Editor laughing and commenting on the puzzles, too. Oooh and I totally missed the changing billboards on the first watch...
That number puzzle where Jared missed the obvious solution nearly killed me, but that swift unlock he did toward the end was actually pretty impressive, especially with simple directional controls that he was describing. As a dyslexic, constantly having to change my frame of reference while not changing the controller's frame of reference is torturous. I'm enjoying this game much more than I thought I would. The mystery is really spoopy, but I like the cute art style, and it seems interesting and amusing enough to play around with that I'd almost like to give it a go, myself, at some point - though I want to see the rest of your play-through!
24:30 I got a book that was a bunch of different pictures you could make with its slide puzzle. I played that all the time on the bus to school, so those slide patterns got drilled into my head.
I'm really enjoying it, it's got my sense of humor. Not creepy to me, very tongue-in-cheek, a little oddball/creative with the Sun you can switch off like a light bulb. Guessing that's the Moon when it's off. Love the look of it, the black and white with splashes of bright color. Pretty simple puzzles, would like to see a greater challenge but as we're only beginning I can hope they step up.
To be fair, _The Magic Circle_ was more about the people *behind* the unfinished game, with one NPC to serve as the disembodied muse. This thing is approaching things more from the position that the game is self-aware. The writing doesn't seem quite as good (a little too on-the-nose with the self-awareness, if that makes sense) but still, this kind of meta-deconstruction-type thing is usually at the very least interesting.
I know the whole "the game world is glitchy and the world is falling apart" thing is a bit of a trope now, but I like it better when there's some immersion at the start. This one tells you at the beginning that you're going into a glitchy game world, and to me, that lowers the stakes of the story. Maybe it picks up later.
I'm mixed on this game so far, but you know, I'll def watch you play it as long as you're into it. Also sorry about the people backseaty about the safe puzzle. I hope it won't get worse as the game goes on.
I lost all faith in pronunciation since coup-de-grâce. English//American speaking people are weird. And don't get me started on the morbid way some people pronounce lever-action shotgun.
"We didn't know how to program computer date detection" as someone who had to do this once, I feel your pain Dev Team, that thing is horrible so many variables countries that suddenly decide to switch time-zones for no reason MULTIPLE TIMES A YEAR countries with multiple time-zones separated by both geographical AND/OR cultural boundaries. (ಥ﹏ಥ)
It's always a huge gamble to try and do fourth wall breaking meta style humor in a game like this, and unfortunately I think this is hovering dangerously close to Bubsy territory.
I was surprised; that’s my mother’s name, and how Jared pronounced it is the correct pronunciation, but everyone usually says ‘Ag-ness’ because that’s the English pronunciation (she isn’t English, if that’s not obvious).
Eat burgers. Play more of this game. (If we can watch you lose 85 lives on one level of Mario Maker, we can watch you struggle with a lock puzzle for five minutes.)
I'm curious about this one, I'm glad Jared's gonna keep going a little bit. Not necessarily a fan of the humor, or anything, but curious to see where it gets from here
The Safe puzzle gave it to you when it started at 0990. You just had to push the green button until every panel shows a 9 and then the blue button until its at 5.
classic jared overthinking
Jared was already 100 moves ahead of you.... LITERALLY 100 moves, lol
I was yelling for him to hit the green button because I knew as soon as he sighed that he didn't see the easy solution
I was thinking the same thing. I am strangely impressed that he did it the roundabout way he used, though.
Yeah! That part was super frustrating.
20:30 "Just press green until they all say 9, then press blue. Come on Jared it's not that ha- JARED WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"
21:50 "this is probably simpler than I realize" I AM IN PAIN.
you know what? I would have done the same thing.
Same here love how miss editor noticed it as well
Exactly my thoughts.
This was me. Such pain.
There's a certain amount of confidence in the phrase "Just play it, you'll get it.".
I kinda feel like it's relying a bit too much on meta-humour and 4th wall breaks, but I'm still curious to see where it's going with it, I say keep at it
Especially since other games use that same kind of humor, but better.

Yeah I felt the same way. The art looks good but the writing is cringe inducing. ''Hahaha, the game is unfinished'' yeah, we get it.
"So I'm playing an unfinished game? Welcome to 2018 Jared!
What, did EA make it?
Most Steam games are like that these days, even "AAA" games.
"AAA"-games probably where the ones that started this trend, at the very least Ubisoft showed how much money you can make of braindead idiots like that still...
Anyone else worried about the messages on the billboard?
"Error...Text Not Found"
"Hello, I am self-conscious billboard. It's nice to see another workman in this town."
"We are Watching You."
"I'm not impressed. It was way too easy to acquire logic module #1."
I think that was all of em, but yeah... that billboard is creepy.

Working part of the way backwards is nice too
Game: Think inside the box.
Me: What's in the box?! WHAT'S IN THE BOX?!
everytime i make that joke no one gets it.
Jared got a crown? It's the return of King Jargle the Bold.
I don't know whether to be more impressed with how he totally missed the super easy solution to the code puzzle or that he somehow managed to get it right the hard way.
You somehow got the right answer using the wrong formula...
Would definitely like to see more of Jared solving easy puzzles in the most difficult way. How did he even do that?
Keep going with this game!
I'm sure George wasn't talking about Superman 64.... That game was amazing...
People just complain about it because they missed the George DLC, and thus never realized the game's true potential.
George's pixel style kinda matches that bizarre NES Superman game.
This game definitely has potential. I especially enjoy the sentient billboard.
Awesome game! More, please!
Miss editor, your comments are, as always, one of the best parts of the videos!
Always a joy to watch Jared play something spoopy.
>Not inaccurate
no, miss editor, the sun isn't lava!
it's plasma! PLASMA
This was actually more interesting than I thought it would be, would love to see more doesn't look too long
I really like this so far. Don't know why but I love this games aesthetic. Looking forward to more :)
I'm really interested in where they're going with this. I'm glad you're curious to!
This game is pretty neat, look forward to seeing more of it!
I absolutely want to see more of this game.
I'm hooked! Somebody get a talking dog, and some hippies! We got a mystery to solve!
Please continue. This looks like an intriguing game
Oh I really like this! Can’t wait to see more of it!
This is weirdly fascinating. Very Pony Island-esque. hope you'll keep going.
Definitely an interesting concept! Looking forward to more!!
Pretty cool, actually! I'd gladly see more, and watch you find out where this is going - it was funny to see Ms Editor laughing and commenting on the puzzles, too.
Oooh and I totally missed the changing billboards on the first watch...
Why am I enjoying this so much?

I'd definitely like to see some more of this, it seems interesting!
I'm intrigued! Also, totally saw how Ms. Editor was going to solve that "kode" but took me forever!
I'm really enjoying it, it's got my sense of humor. Not creepy to me, very tongue-in-cheek, a little oddball/creative with the Sun you can switch off like a light bulb. Guessing that's the Moon when it's off. Love the look of it, the black and white with splashes of bright color. started out like it was gonna be not so fun, but by the end of the episode I was enjoying it
This one looks interesting, hope to see another video to see where the game is going :)
Another fun video! can't wait for more!
Hey, I remember this being super cool and funny when it was called The Magic Circle.
Wait, this is _the_magic circle game?
To be fair, _The Magic Circle_ was more about the people *behind* the unfinished game, with one NPC to serve as the disembodied muse.

Play more of this, Jared!
20:08 after refresh, 3rd button until all same number and after last until all the 5 are centered.
Happy 8 Year Birthday to your Channel Jared. Well at least 8 years since Two Worlds was uploaded
Yeah keep playing!! Seems really cool!
This is a cool little game. I like that you’re basically fixing a unfinished video game world!
Trying a little bit too hard to be a game with meta elements, I think?
Yes, it's a bit cringy
Made worse by the devs clearly having their heads up their asses with how great it is.
A level like this of satirical self-importance will never be able to appeal to everybody.
For me, I like it good enough.
Isn't that all games these days?
I've seen worse. I couldn't watch ... Was it ICEY? Something like that. This at least jokes. That one just felt like it was trying to be deep 😥
When you said "the sun is a light bulb", it made me think of Porcupine Tree xD
Keep going. Very much digging this.
This is an interesting game, I wouldn't mind seeing more of it.
Yeah I like this, I'd appreciate it if you played more of this. Pretty interested.
"I'm goin' home!"
MOOD
At first, I wasn't sure. But I really like it!
Is that a HAL-9000 electric eye on the Logic Memory Terminal?
This is definitely gonna turn into a horror game, I can already tell.
Great video, I hope you play more of this game.
This reminds me a lot of the Lakeview Cabin collection.
This is awesome, I really dig it.
Yeah, this game looks awesome.
I have to agree with Miss Editor, theres probably clues in the dialog boxes that are being rushed through.
I'm mixed on this game so far, but you know, I'll def watch you play it as long as you're into it.
Also sorry about the people backseaty about the safe puzzle. I hope it won't get worse as the game goes on.
I'd love to see you finish this game
omg! this game is right up my ally! this looks like so much fun!!! :D
I'm digging this weirdness
This game is starting to give me strong Space Quest vibes
Jared having trouble on that easy safe puzzle was great.
Juxtaposed with the devil spawn that are sliding puzzles; he solved that right quick.
Really Jared? Ahn-yis instead of Ag-ness? Love ya buddy.
I assume he's been playing Bravely Default or Bravely Second lately
I lost all faith in pronunciation since coup-de-grâce. English//American speaking people are weird. And don't get me started on the morbid way some people pronounce lever-action shotgun.
alphapolimeris: /bumstɪk/ is not a difficult word to pronounce. how to people say it in a morbid way?
I enjoyed chuckling with Ms. Editor at Puzzle Boi Jared ^.^
the animations kinda remind me of Scribblenauts, which was already a great game, looking forward to more episodes of this
Looks fun to play, is it a demo? Or a full game?
This actually seems really neat.
yes, more, please. the genre is one of my favs tbh. quite a different take on it. I like. id like more better.
Bummer? LIES!!
If it were, you wouldn't be having fun with it
Damn, you rocked that slide puzzle!
reminds me of a lake in the view of a cabin
Oh boy this looks like a fun old time
Bummer Town really is right up your alley now. That’s where you’re going to be living from now on 🤦♂️
Jerd has a crown now.
And as some people said, the game is trying too hard to be self-referential, but at the same time it's interesting.
I'd like to see more of this puzzle game
You know that guy that only knows one joke and thinks it’s hilarious every time he tells it? Yeah, he made a game.
Cool game so far. Hope you get to play it further.
It's like a point-and-click, except without pointing or clicking.
"We didn't know how to program computer date detection" as someone who had to do this once, I feel your pain Dev Team, that thing is horrible
so many variables
countries that suddenly decide to switch time-zones for no reason MULTIPLE TIMES A YEAR
countries with multiple time-zones separated by both geographical AND/OR cultural boundaries.
(ಥ﹏ಥ)
Funnily enough, this game is probably less glitched than most AAA titles.
It's King's Quest...but bizarre...sooooo King's Quest 7... gotcha!
It's always a huge gamble to try and do fourth wall breaking meta style humor in a game like this, and unfortunately I think this is hovering dangerously close to Bubsy territory.
As Alucard would say: I'm interested in this!
I'm enjoying it so far. Bit of spookiness, lots of logic puzzles, and honestly, interesting NPCs. Looking forward to seeing a bit more.
Interesting game. I wanna see more now.
Looks interesting would like to see more
I've never heard someone say the name "Agnes" like that
I was surprised; that’s my mother’s name, and how Jared pronounced it is the correct pronunciation, but everyone usually says ‘Ag-ness’ because that’s the English pronunciation (she isn’t English, if that’s not obvious).
This looks great
Looked dumb at first, but now I'm intrigued!
Definitely like this
im kinda into it, so keep going!
I wanna see more of this weird game.
watching the puzzle may be the most painful thing I've witnessed in awhile.
It's so weird that I kinda like it
what a neat game
Eat burgers. Play more of this game. (If we can watch you lose 85 lives on one level of Mario Maker, we can watch you struggle with a lock puzzle for five minutes.)
This is awesome.
I'm curious about this one, I'm glad Jared's gonna keep going a little bit. Not necessarily a fan of the humor, or anything, but curious to see where it gets from here
