Hello! I was wondering if someone could share experiences of making a transfer at AMS. I am arriving from USA and have a fairly short layover on my way to Scotland. Will I need to go through security when I land in Schiphol? I would really appreciate any thoughts.
This place is HUGE. Do people need a travel visa to shop on that level? Having to request a travel visa or not confuses me. I'm joint nationality, and flying into this airport from YVR to transfer to UK. I use a mobility walker and did not see one seat in the 1st five minutes. I'm 73 & cant walk far without sitting. If the airline forgets I have requested mobility help I'm not gonna make it on my over 4hr layover. On the upside, looks like theres plenty shops to see in my 4 hours "if" I dont need a travel visa to stay in that airport for my layover.

No you don't will you be travelling with delta to ams and than klm to Scotland?
