Pandemic Legacy is by design a non-replayable co-operative campaign game, with an overarching story-arc played through in 12-24 sessions, depending on how well your group does at the game. At the beginning, the game starts very similar to basic Pandemic, in which your team of disease-fighting specialists races against the clock to travel around the world, treating disease hotspots while researching cures for each of four plagues before they get out of hand.
During a player's turn, they have four actions available, with which they may travel around in the world in various ways (sometimes needing to discard a card), build structures like research stations, treat diseases (removing one cube from the board; if all cubes of a color have been removed, the disease has been eradicated), trade cards with other players, or find a cure for a disease (requiring five cards of the same color to be discarded while at a research station). Each player has a unique role with special abilities to help them at these actions.
After a player has taken their actions, they draw two cards. These cards can include epidemic cards, which will place new disease cubes on the board, and can lead to an outbreak, spreading disease cubes even further. Outbreaks additionally increase the panic level of a city, making that city more expensive to travel to.
Each month in the game, you have two chances to achieve that month's objectives. If you succeed, you win and immediately move on to the next month. If you fail, you have a second chance, with more funding for beneficial event cards.
During the campaign, new rules and components will be introduced. These will sometimes require you to permanently alter the components of the game; this includes writing on cards, ripping up cards, and placing permanent stickers on components. Your characters can gain new skills, or detrimental effects. A character can even be lost entirely, at which point it's no longer available for play.

There are several mistakes in the rules explanation:
7:02 "If an Epidemic is drawn you must perform an Outbreak."
Epidemics and Outbreaks are different things, and not all Epidemics will cause Outbreaks.
Epidemics consist of the steps Increase, Infect, Intensify as described on the Epidemic cards. Outbreaks are the spread of disease caused when a 4th disease cube (of the same color) would be placed on a city.
8:17 "Whenever one of the colored disease cube supplies empties, the game ends and you lose."
Correctly stated, you lose if you must place a disease cube but there are none left to place of that color. So, a loss doesn't occur if you place all 24 cubes of a color: it occurs if all 24 of a color are on the board and you must place another.
11:10 Fallen "Also, if a player's character is in a city that is Fallen, then that character is lost."
Correctly stated, if a player's character is in a city *when it falls*, then that character is lost. Characters may enter Fallen cities after they fall.

This is a masterfully edited video however there are 4 MAJOR mistakes. Epidemics are not Outbreaks, Outbreaks are only when a city hits 4 cubes, Characters are not lost when entering fallen cities, they are only lost when they are in a city at the time that it falls if that resulte in a second scar, you don't lose if you run out of cubes of a colour, only when you can't place a cube and are required to do so, and finally you must add the epidemic city to the infection discard pile before shuffling them.

"When an outbreak occurs things go bad for you and your team." Yeah no shit-- the first time I played this game with some friends and we burned through all the red disease cubes in like... ten minutes. xD It was so fun though, I'm hype to play it again.
When seeing the thumbnail and hearing Marshalls voice I was shocked when the video progressed.
Because until then I really thought, I now would watch a variant of the mtg legacy format 😅😅😅😅

That means it's starting with standard Pandemic rules. Although that does sound pretty strange when you disconnect it from game mechanics.
Same thing for the in-game justification for funding levels.

is there a way to play this game without permanently affecting the board, and cards. just wanting to know so I could play the entire game multiple times.
Yes and no, just avoid ripping up cards and peal off stickers, if you mess anything up buy replacements for what got ruined and get new stickers, you will also need new packages and things of the sort, if you are afraid of ruining parts of the game just buy the non legacy version
Just play the original game then. It’s a legacy game, if you don’t play it the way it’s meant to be then there’s really no point.
You can play single games every time you want, even with stickers added. They just make the game a variant of the original one.
Put stickers on cardboard and use them as tokens.

In the beginning of a session/scenario you get to shuffle Event cards equal to the funding level into the player deck. (For example, if your funding is 0, you don't have any Event cards in that scenario)
In the Base Game you have all 6 Event Cards shuffled into the Player Deck (48 Cities, 6 Event Cards and 4 to 6 Epidemics). In Legacy, the first game (January- Early) your Funding Level starts at 4 and therefore your team chooses which 4 of the Event Cards they want to use, so the Legacy Player Deck will start with (48 Cities, 4 chosen Event Cards and 5 Epidemics). If you win, you would go to February- Early and your Funding Level would be 2 (dropping by 2 for a win) so the Player Deck would have only 2 chosen Event Cards (they can be different than what you chose for the 1st game). If you lost the 1st game you would play January- Late and your funding level would go up to 6, you would now have a Player Deck of (48 Cities, 6 Event Cards, 5 Epidemic Cards). The basics of the Funding Level is that with success funding is cut and with failure the CDC recognizes that you need more help! (Obviously, this doesn’t include and other benefits or losses from the rest of the game that may have you do other things to the various decks or characters)

It didn’t explain the entire thing and I was rather confused, in the instructions it said that you had to keep placing cubes even after you’ve find a cure, but it didn’t go into detail about it.
you only stop placing cubes when you eradicate, not just found a cure

Yes, but no. Since each Month is a seperate game (with persistance thanks to destruction, upgrades etc), you have a minumum of 12 "games", but with repeating a month after lossing, you should get somewhere between 14 and 18 individual "games", each lasting 1 hour to 1 hour 30 mins, so it is actually quite good value. Especially if you collect board games, ask yourself how many of those you played more then 10 times :D
Also, if you are a bit careful with destroying things, you can still play the base game after finishing it, since most permanent changes are done with stickers which can be removed quite easily.

Am I the only one here finding it hard to memorize all these 34489 rules? I might have to go to college and get a degree on Pandemic before playing it.

It's a legacy game, you don't have to rip your cards and you don't need a full new game, just peal off the stickers and buy new cards and sticker sheets as needed, they game should last 12-24 sessions depending on winning or losing months so unless you are running multiple sessions at once (if you do you need multiple games) you won't need to re buy things for quite some time
or you can just put the sticker on a cardboard, cut it and use is as a token perhaps.

Never mind. You'd probably need to read the rules twice anyway in order to check everything, so this video can count as one.
