@@sleepylocoxv3734 the M45X is just the awd version of the V8 car. The S stands for Sport. There is also the M45X S which is the sport version of the awd car..
I have an old '03 M45 and I love it! voice commands still work and everything. I have a G37s convertible too. Can't wait for the New Z to drop!!!
@sleepylocoxv3734 old post but basically all the standard things you'd expect from a sports package. stiffer suspension, some styling stuff, forged wheels, rear steer. unfortunately it doesn't come with an lsd which is crzy
I have the same car and a similar setup, the video does no justice on the sound it actually produces. Its no joke.
I used to have an 06 with no cats, an x pipe and flowmaster 10 series and it sounded amazing. I swear it sounded like 03-04 mustang

Got the same set up a month ago on my 2006 M45s , but on mine i did also the secondary cat delete and was satisfied with the results on how the car sounds. pretty damn loud and it crackles , x pipe did help alot making it smooth and not much of that raspy noise. some what drone but no biggy .
How bad is the drone? At what rpm?

I used to own a 2003 Infiniti m45 and 2011 Infiniti m56x chair to collaborate? I also put flowmaster exhaust on the in 45 and on the m56 cutouts and cat deleted
I’ve been thinking about doing some muffler work to my 04 Lincoln Town car 4.6 modular v8, I’m just not sure how much it might be to put some 12in glass packs on it, I’d probably not have them welded so I can replace stock mufflers when I want (I live in Cali and cops love to ticket) so how much do you guys think that would cost at a decent shop?
If you live in cali don't bother! When i visit cali they love my truck with actual straight pipes lol
chevygameonpoint 18 i’m planning on moving to Iowa at the end of the summer so long term I’m not worried about it but yeah the cops are wack here especially around trucks they go straight for loud trucks and mustangs, I’m hoping a town car might slip under the radar

Did you go resonators and muffler delete? I have the 44 and the sound is pretty deep .

I have a 09 LS460 4.6L straight pipe.
I wish your shop was nearby.
Im wanting to put test pipes in my G35, then run a magnaflow glasspack where the stock resonator is and keep the stock muffler. Im just worried it'll cause it to sound to raspy. I'd need a tune though, car already runs lean due to my intake mods. It'll definitely trip a code if I have no cats. But if I put some non fouled extensions on the test pipes it aught to fix that issue. Would still need the tune though. So might just get the glasspack instead. I don't like that ricey fart can sound. I like the way the stock exhaust sounds. Just would like it to be a little louder. With these VQ engines it's hard to find that sweet spot. There's a lot of G35s and 350Zs that sound like shit. When you get test pipes it often makes the car sound worse sometimes. It just depends. I had a 300zxTT that had dual glasspacks where the mufflers were and it sounded great. Also had a 3rd gen Maxima SE that had aftermarket y pipe, hi flow cats, and an injen catback exhaust with racing mufflers that was the loudest car I've ever had. Thing was so loud, there is a thing as having a car that is too loud. It surprisingly didn't sound like shit, just was obnoxiously loud. I was young and didn't care. Sure I pissed a lot of ppl off with that car. Also had an 02 Z28 with hi flow cats and glass packs it sounded perfect. It's harder to get a V6 to sound mean like that, but the 300zx sure sounded great. Had a lot of ppl ask if it had a V8 swap. It was all in the tune how it sounded at idle that made the difference. I can't stand a loud fart can exhaust though.
I did a muffler delete on my g37, sounded too raspywent back and added two single chamber flowmaster clones and it sounds way better. Just my 2 cents
It’ll never sound as good as this though. That only has the v6. This the v8.
depending what year g35 you have its almost impossible to not make them sound like ass. before the HR motors the vqs were dogs

@@isidrosevier1125 how did you find that out? I always thought mine had lsd cause when I burn out it stays straight. But have been told by several people that probably realy didn't know, say that these cars dont have lsd because the g35 and g37 didn't .
@@fredwilliams7893 it should have a sticker on the diff housing, and I used to have one, but you have to put a toggle switch on the yaw sensor to fully disable the traction control

Ihuuba Those 4 barrel tips are factory tips for Inifiniti M, you've seen em. The muffler shop said they ONLY installed the X pipe. The owner was perfecting his phase 1 sound. Don't hate, Celebrate!

I wouldn’t think so I got 1 7/8 longtubes w a 3 inch Y pipe....and full straight pipes literally no cats no mufflers or nothing all the way to back and no drone at all

@@baranUtube These cars are known to lose power when you play with the exhaust system. All VQs engine are kinda already mostly tuned for power from the factory.
@@FFA704 except this car uses a VK engine and they respong pretty well to more open exhaust, especially if you get a tune as well

@@Mike-og3xb 108,000 and going strong. Not a single thing wrong with it one thing I did learn real quick though. Is yes they burn oil but as long as you keep the level high your good for 200,000 plus. Research the vk45de engine. Its actually a detuned race engine Nissan used in there race cars.
@@fredwilliams7893 I have 138,000 not a single issue (knock on wood). Great car, love it, the styling is getting a little long in the tooth, but it's such a great car it's hard to part with it.

The G35 HR sedan 07-08 and G37 is quicker than a M45. In talking from experience now if you need more room and have to have a V8 sound then go for it

Arthur Wall 3.0t Q50 or Q60 ? I’ve been looking at trading my G37S For an Q50 Redsport but the cheapest 2018 red sport is around 30K
Fred JAmes Q50 3.0t the red Sport wasn't really worth the extra to me but could be for you. Better final drive which can be swapped over and about100 extra hp which I can get from a tune(JB4). Redsport does have diamond stitching and a few other pretty things. They use the same turbos an extra oil cooler or something. The new Z is coming with the same VR30DDTT so you might wanna wait they've taken fooorever though.
