  • Hello again! Here I talk about my 6 favorite apps for learning Japanese, in descending order. Many of these can be used for other languages too, so feel free to watch even if you're not learning Japanese. I tried to keep most of them free, so hopefully this helps!

    Hi I tried the app Japanese, I think that its very complete...but when I was checking the writing section for katakana I notice that some kanjis are different from other apps, the patterns to write are different as well so now Im confused.

    • @GracesVoyage
      @GracesVoyage  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi! I'm glad you've found it helpful :D I'm a little confused by what you mean though. Do you mean the stroke order in the katakana reference list is different than other apps or that the kanji (Chinese characters) stroke orders are different? Or both?

    I'd like to study English as a Japanese, but do you have any recommended apps? If possible, it would be desirable to be able to have conversations and teach each other Japanese to those who want to study it.

    • @GracesVoyage
      @GracesVoyage  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! I haven't looked much at apps for teaching English to Japanese speakers in the past, but I know Duolingo has a course you can use. The dictionary app I mention in this video also works well for Japanese speakers wanting to learn English. I think HelloTalk might might be useful for you as well since you can easily find a native English speaker to chat with on there. I talk to Japanese speakers on there all the time! I also came across a site (peraperabu.com) that I think has some links to different learning apps if you click 英語を学ぶ and then スマホアプリで学ぶ。I'm not the most experienced when it comes to resources for learning English, so I'm sorry if this wasn't very helpful!

    • @GracesVoyage
      @GracesVoyage  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It is VERY common. I think the only times things are sometimes written without kanji are in texts specifically for learners, so you should definitely learn as many kanji as you can, otherwise you won't be able to read much of anything in terms of real media!

When I first started out my tutor only charged $8 for a 1 hour lesson so there's lot of price flexibility.
