  • @kra2003

    PRO: Nice work! Thanks for the effort - really appreciated! I even have the feeling your version sounds a little cooler / more crisp than the original - it has a little bit more contrast and wider dynamic range (but a little less stereo wideness / & effects which probably could be achieved later - or maybe it's because of TH-cam's weak audio streaming quality)... full respect, just amazing!
    CON: I'm completely overwhelmed by the jungle of potential tools you need or do not need to produce something like this... e.g. Serum, Komplete, u-he diva. I'm using Ableton Live 10 Suite as well and I really don't know which additional tools I should spend money on... The reason why I put this under CON: You made it kind of seem obvious to have access to those. But to be fair 1. this is the first video by you I watched and 2. I wouldn't know how to do it in a different way for the purpose of the video if a already had access to those tools - would probably be too much effort and work to figure out which basic / free tools you could use instead. It's probably context of another potential video - dunno yet if you already provided something like a recommendation video - I'll check... - really depends on the kind of music you want to produce as well. Please don't feel offended - it's just a common problem I'm currently facing like many other people before me I guess.
    Guess I just have to get more experience and see more videos and your recommendations in their descriptions.
    Thanks! ❤

    Would you have any tips on how to find vocals like the ones grabbed from the original track? For those who can’t sing haha, splice vocals tend to be very vanilla and plain. Not very fresh

    Is the 'bass mono' on utility sufficient for stabilizing the fundamental?

    • @jamesmoriarty8841
      @jamesmoriarty8841 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      using a utility plug to mono the bass below certain frequencies will help prevent phasing issues, however there's a good chance that you will still notice fluctuations in volume and pitch. whilst this can occasionally be desirable if you want more movement in your sub, the technique that yalcin is showing here is great for achieving a really solid, tight sub sound.

    LISTEN TO MORE MUSIC. That's how you DON'T become Bicep. Rookie 'producers' on here trying to be the next whatever ... you've come the wrong way. Broaden your taste, treat music like it is special, trust your emotion/intuition over your brain EVERY TIME whenever you make something. If you think it's about hi-hat saturation or detuning synths you are a numpty.
    We want to hear YOUR music. We want to hear what's inside of YOU.
