I think the connection could just be his way to “fame”. Maybe he picked Versace knowing it would have a great deal of publicity. Could also be jealousy, as in Andrew wished he could’ve live Gianni’s lavish, successful life. I would love a more in depth video on Andrew.

Or he just resented him bc he was a gay man who "had it all" aka the lifestyle that he craved, and he thought that basically if he couldn't have it, he was going to rob Versace of it. I am curious tho as to his connection to one of his other victims, Lee I think his name was? The one he stabbed 20 times? RIP for all of the victims, I pray that they're in a better place now

The representation theory is the one American Crime Story went with, and I honestly think it's the most likely answer. I think Andrew had been following Gianni's fashion brand for a long time and had become obsessed with it because it was expensive high fashion.
Lee Miglin, I think, had some sort of relationship with Andrew. Probably met either through David Mattson (who was an architect), or one of his rich sugar daddies.

Omg yaas! The show is called American Crime Story: The assassination of Gianni Versace. It’s so weird, and interesting and ooooo so good. It’s on FX on Wednesday’s. I think there’s one possibly 2 episodes left. The first season was all about the O.J. Simpson trial and the murders of his ex wife and her friend. The creators of the show are the same ones who do American Horror Story. You should definitely watch both! The video you did is awesome as always. Love you and can’t wait until the next video and podcast!

For your missing series, please please consider covering the case of Pearl Pinson from Vallejo, California. She was 15 when she went missing almost 2 years ago under pretty strange circumstances and it's so sad. I drive past the location she was abducted every day on my way to work, and there are still flowers and signs pleading for information.
I hope her family has closure. Did you fill out the form? Kendall has a form where you can fill out the information to make a video.

Hey Kendall! Just a quick thing to expand your knowledge of this case! Andrew is actually classified as a spree killer- not a serial killer! The difference is shown in the time between his murders. Andrew had no cooling off period, which is the time between a serial killer’s kills. I’m definitely not an expert but I plan to be when I grow up so if you want more info either go online or I actually read about Andrew in a book called The Serial Killer Files which has all kinds of stuff about killers that’s very different from other books. Love you!
I'm watching this 2021... yes this is one of the most interesting stories. Every time someone talks about it and even about Andrew I get sucked in. Even though I know the story I still want to hear everyone's take on it.

Hey Kendall you should check out Danielle Stislicki. She went missing over a year ago and her family are still searching like it's the first day. It's an interesting case it's like she just disappeared. They had some leads that are very suspicious. Maybe you could do a video and it might help bring her home??

I just feel bad for Antonio D'Amico. How awful that must have been for him to see the love of his life in such a condition! So traumatic. He didn't agree with the portrayal Ricky Martin did of him. He just remembers his blood going cold and everything going dark. Versace's family was not kind to him either. As if he wasn't already suffering.
I feel like he may have killed him out of pure jealously, because he wanted to have a luxurious life and wanted attetion. The mansion was incredible, right down to the detail. He also may have been jealous that he had talent and was known to everyone. That's just my theory, who know why he really killed him

Great video Kendall! It's very sad to look back now and see Princess Diana at Versace's funeral when just a few weeks later she was killed herself. I was only 10 years old in 1997 but I remember it as being an eerie year for famous deaths. Being Italian myself I remember how huge Versace's death was because he really was one of the best designers in the world and there was so much individuality in his designs. When I was growing up I used to be in total awe of the way he dressed Cindy, Naomi, Christy and Linda. As for Andrew I think he, like a lot of killers and stalkers, was driven by jealousy and hatred of anyone who has worked hard and done well in life. I watched a documentary recently that claimed Andrew had asked Versace for his autograph but Versace refused and another time he tried to approach him in a club but again Versace refused to engage in any conversation with him because he was aware Andrew had been stalking him. The saddest thing about Versace's death was that he didn't have bodyguards to protect him from creeps, but just like Naomi said, he was a humble man.

I think it's also a possibility that he didn't know him personally at all and only killed Versace to get famous. He left his passport in a stolen car to be identified, he did it in broad daylight on one of the busiest streets in Miami, I think it's a possibility.
I'm watching ACS of his assassination and this season is almost done, so I'm going to come back to this video once I'm finished with the last episode bc there's still stuff I don't know about it, but DANG IT I don't want to wait that long for one of Kendall's videos!! 😅😭

I honestly think that he wanted the lifestyle that Gianni lead such as the fame and the money. I believe that him killing Gianni was planned out for longer than what people say because I think he would have loved the attention of being famous for killing one of the biggest fashion icons and a loved human by many. But I also believe that there is more backstory behind it, like I do think that they possibly met earlier on their lives for a short period of time whether that be a love interest or even just someone whom Gianni had only met once

Second, thanks so much for doing this video! Gianni was, by far, my favourite designer and just an overall priceless human being. As Naomi said, he was clearly very humble and his celebrity status never fazed him. He worshipped women, all women & had great respect for them. His creativity showed this love & respect... Donatella being his main muse, as well as the biggest supermodels at that time. The Big Four (later the Big Five) walking together to George Michael's Freedom '90 in his fall/winter '91-92 collection is probably *the most iconic catwalk ever*.
I remember Gianni's murder and the ensuing manhunt vividly. It broke my heart and to me, personally, the fashion world has never been the same. It was a senseless assassination of a dearly loved man who was the epitome of "self-made" success.
I don't know if Cunanan knew Gianni or it was just his own psychotic way of becoming (in)famous. I do hope we find out WHY some day...
Also, a video on Cunanan would be very interesting.

I am positive, that it was said that Gianni Versace met Andrew a couple of years before he was killed. I think Andrew was 20 yrs old at the time they met and they met at a club in vip. There was no kind of relationship they just had mutual friends. I’m not saying this is true but I heard this from a show.
The American Crime Story Assassination of Gianni Versace is such a brilliant series
I saw The dramatization of this on American Crime Story and I thought that Darren Criss gave a very frightening performance as the killer. Criss was well deserving of those acting awards that he received for that role.
American Crime Story season 2 is about this murder, and it is amazing. great acting and good story telling. you should watch it!
