Its extremely challenging to get good clean definition in extremely low light. Even with the best camera.
Most of the scenes did look amazing, clean and accurate. A softer looking image helps rid of noise or grain artefacts likely to show up.
The best camera can help mitigate this but its still sometimes there. Also i mentioned it could be the way my oled OLED is handling low light darker scenes.
Some older LG OLED have not handled low light content very well. So i can maybe blame the tv for the way the sky was looking a little noisy or unclean.
But overall this is an amazing looking video most of the time. As i said i wasn't meaning to put down the author here.
Its better than i could do given the same equipment and challenging lighitng conditions.

The definition is just really soft looking at times. Theres missing sharpness in quite a few different scenes at times.
I sensed a bit of blur from the camera on the beginning of the video penguins back. Not sure if that was intentional ? Lapse in camera focus ?
The resolution is a little soft and noisy in some areas like the night sky. Not all areas. Specifically 8:00 min mark.
You can tell with Lower grade 4K camera equipment where the weaknesses are. But you also need a good tv to show up these differences.
Like the street and lamps and the background buildings, the dark sky looked unclean and more noisy.
Sorry but the best camera work I've seen is from Jacob & Katie Schwarz. I think they have their camera setup correctly.
Sorry but I'm only saying what i see. And i have a good eye for detail. Even if this is a cinematic camera.

What are you talking about? Is crystal clear on my OLED. I'm sure the other channel that you've mentioned is also amazing but this looks spectacular. Very cinematic. With the right amount of grain and focus. I disagree with what you wrote.

Ok. It's only a few scenes calm down. I think Jennifer Gala or HDSuperchannel have done a super job and I couldn't do what they do. But I have good eyesight. And eyes don't lie to you.
Go and watch Jacob and Katies work on the Redwoods 8K 60P HDR in 2022. 8K I know. So then go and watch Costa Rica I'm 4K 60 HDR from 6 years ago.
This material is missing some definition and can look too soft. Possibly because the night shots and the train track shots are maybe too low exposure or they shot it too dark.
There's a scene near the end with the buildings and the sky looks noisy, more compression is showing. Just look at the sky 8 min mark.
If that video from Jacob and Katie shows up flawless on my screen it's something to do with this directors setup of the camera or it's a poorer camera or it can't pick up the definition in the darker scenes.
This just doesn't blow me away with detail and resolution like Jacob and Katie's work does. It's my opinion and you have yours.
Granted my TV is a LG 2019 E9 but the problem is in the camera work or the camera is not as good as Jacob and Katie's because I see amazing crystal clear picture with Jacob and Katie's video. Not even a hint of noise or compression in them.
Maybe you should try to study the scenes more closely. And see if you can find what I'm talking about. I just must have very good eyesight for what looks natural and what looks unnatural.
Camera equipment obviously matters the most here. It's either the way the camera is setup or performs. Or the camera is plain inferior.
Jacob and Katie use a Red Monstro.

@@MaxPower-zp7wy you are one of those. So you're going on every channel and putting down filmmakers? That's unethical. You're allowed not to like the video but promoting other channels that's not right. My opinion. It's very sad. Just to let you know their videos are used by TV reviewers such as Fomo Digital Trends Brian's tech therapy and they are the only channel producing 1000 to 4000 nits. You should know better.

What can I say I'm a viewer a human being. I have an opinion. There are lots of us with our own opinion. I don't have to like or believe you either.
Putting down the video ? Putting down filmmakers. Ok. Your super amazing at pointing fingers and blaming and mis judging people. I feel for you. If you can't have freedom of speech or an opinion what is the point of debate and discussion.
I talk my own truth in what I see. Really you'll only find one other comment from me. If you think I'm one of those who goes commenting on other videos. Prove it. I only commented on one of Jacob and Katie's a few moments ago.
One other comment on one other video, doesn't make me a person who goes around and does what exactly like you said ? I'm just a viewer saying what I see. Boohoo to you if you don't like my opinion.
I can have my opinion it's not violating the rules. My remarks are not nasty. I'm just saying what I see in the video. Why shouldn't we compare the work of two different filmmakers.
The world is full way worse crap than what's happening here. And STFU. I can have my opinion about someone else's work. It isn't harming or threatening them.
I never said I hated the work here or the director did I. I said the work is good. I mentioned what I thought what the setup of the equipment or the camera being inferior.
I never once knocked the director operator. Not sure how you could take offence at what I said. Maybe the part where I said Jacob and Katie had their camera setup correctly.
I never said this author didn't have their camera setup correctly. I said some parts look out of focus, soft and missing definition, some parts look noisy and unclean. Because I can see it with my eyes.
I don't know if it's the camera that is not as good. It just doesn't look as good to me. And I will compare it with other filmmakers. That's what humans do with everything mate.

@@MaxPower-zp7wyfirst of all there's no need to be vulgar. I stand by my statement. You're coming here and promoting other channels. I'm watching on the A95l and LG G4. The picture is outstanding. FYI these people are producing one the finest content on TH-cam. Channels with millions of viewers and subscribers are using their content to test the latest TVs. That speaks volumes. I don't see any softness nor any problem with focus. Here's a link for you where they test if the content is real 4000 nits with a 32000$ Sony monitor that is used for color grading by studios. th-cam.com/video/Cx5159Tmzcw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=QWSZEvhvZE1F05Du

Don’t hate me. I have a Samsung OLED and I don’t know what HDR is and I still don’t.
