I absolutely love hearing all your stories. Especially love the foodie traditions, temple and church activities. Such an enjoyable podcast. So much inspiration.
Will always so enjoy tuning in Dina and Pam!! Love it all as always❤❤
You two have such an easy and caring chemistry with each other. I love listening to your chit chat : ) Your kits are so beautiful and tempting! I vote for the Obba 🙂
Enjoyed the video! I liked the pressed flowers. Dina your new sweater is beautiful! You do such beautiful knitting! Love to see it in black and gold!🧶💗💕💞
I love you guys! I live far away….. Calgary Alberta Canada. If I was close I’d be a permanent fixture in your store.
I love the way you understand and respect each others traditions!!
And of course the knitting.Obba.
We always had Russian tea cakes too. So yummy. I love those. My favorite cookie at Christmas.
I always enjoy watching your podcast
I always love seeing both of you! I have had the pressed flowers cardigan in my queue for over a year - I have the pattern and the yarn so I am voting for this pattern 🌸
I love the Obba!
@pamsap when you were talking about the activities at your church for some reason I thought it had to be a Lutheran Church and then you finally stated it with the German bratwurst, etc. etc. We often have Swedish smorgasbord. Yes Lutherans love to eat. We have families that have been connected with the church. I go to for many decades, and generations. So much fun. Thank you for sharing.🦊🥰
Yes, we do love our food, especially baked goods!!! I’m doing coffee hour weekend, it’s one of my favorite things to sign yup for!!!
I found the pattern for the Obba sweater last week before heading out to a new fiber festival in Portland, OR and nabbed yarn for it while there! Hands down the sweater is stunning and my vote goes with it. Love your podcast, fantastic ladies ❤
looking forward to watching this this long weekend:)
Yes, the Mexican Wedding cookies are the same as Russian Teacakes, one of our family favs for over 50 years. You can find the recipe on google. So so good and so easy but a little time consuming. Well worth the effort.
I’m a little late but I would love to join a pressed flowers cardigan KAL. Love your podcast, hoping your creativity and skills transfer to me so I can knit such beautiful projects as the two of you.
Love you two! Pressed Flowers
I love finding a new podcast from the two of you! I get my coffee, knitting, and settle in for a chat…you’re both great!
Yes Dina I know what you are talking about. Mexican wedding cookies! Delicious! Yum.
Mexican wedding cake cookies. Basically butter and flour and pecans or walnuts, rolled and powdered sugar. So good they melt in your mouth.
In my family, Mexican Wedding cookies are known as Russian Teacakes. I make them every year for Christmas, they are a family favorite and so easy to make. We prefer ground walnuts for the cookies, but ground pecans work just fine.
Hi pressed flowers is my vote❤
Hello ladies, I would love to do Pressed Flowers cardigan!! 😀💕🌻
Obba! Pressed flowers is pretty, but alot of us are over it. Spincycle can be expensive.
My family called the powdered sugar cookie, Me I can Wedding Cakes. We made them at Christmas with lots of other Christmas cookies. They are a basic cookie with butter and powdered sugar, vanilla and pecans. There are probably something else in them but they are also called Russian tea cakes. They are small round cookies that you roll into balls and bake and then immediately roll them in powdered sugar.
Hello ladies , always enjoy your podcasts! Coquito is a Puerto Rican drink during the Christmas holidays or really anytime. The ‘q’ is pronounced as a ‘k’ sound not a silent sound. Happy knitting and blessed holidays! Will try the butternut squash with the lentils…sounds yummy!!😊
I vote pressed flowers. I have been wanting to make it.
Obba for sure!!
I vote for pressed flowers
Aygoknit. Beautiful
Pressed flowers!
Russian Tea Cakes or Mexican Wedding Cookies 😍
Yes! My mom made Russian Tea Cakes each year in December, which are exactly like Mexican Wedding Cakes!
Kudos to both of you on your sweaters that you are wearing. They are beautiful. Thanks another great podcast.
To knit while watching your podcast - I can't think of anything I enjoy more!!!! Thank you, both.
The cookies are called Snow Balls or Mexican Wedding cookies. My mom made them. I’m allergic to them. I love Coquitos!
We always had Mexican Wedding cakes that you were talking about, they are my all time favorite!! Ours were a white ball that did have pecans in them and were rolled in lots of powdered sugar. SO good!!! Love your podcast and that you are both family oriented. Thank you!
I just came to the comments to say the same thing. Love the Mexican Wedding Cakes!
I'd love to join you in an Obba KAL. My vote: Obba. Dina, I do know the cookies you're describing. I believe the go by different names, but if you google "italian wedding cookies" you'll find them. My (non-Italian) grandmother made them for her holiday cookie spread. I think she called them "snowball cookies"--and I do see recipes online for those; they look very similar. Unfortunately, I don't have my grandmother's recipe. Too bad! She was a wonderful cook.
I vote for Obba sweater since you just did a cardigan.
Loved hearing about your families and traditions. Of course, your knitting is always fun and inspiring.
I would vote for Obba ❤
Oba for me.😊
love you guys - I look forward to your podcasts every week. PRESSED FLOWERS ALL THE WAY! :)
Pressed flower cardigan
i vote for the Obba. Love the sweaters that the 2 of you are wearing. Your videos are always so inspiring.
I vote for Obba
Love catching up with you guys always inspiring. Family is life and love hearing all about it. Knitting while tuning in on sweater for my son in laws birthday. 😅
Wonderful podcast as always! Thank you!
Pressed flower cowl
I always enjoy your podcasts and thanks for asking which sweater would be good for a stitch-along. I vote for Pressed Flower.
Your kits are beautiful! Pressed flowers would be my vote. 😊😊
We use to call the, Mexican wedding rings..like a white cookies with powdered sugar all over them.
We call those cookies snowballs
It’s coquito (or co-ke-to) which is the Puerto Rico version of creme de vie, which is a rum infused eggnog Christmas liqueur. Evaporatored milk, whole milk and condensed milk, simple syrup, cinnamon and eggs with lots of rum!
I love you ladies ❤ I tune in for the latest patterns. Currently I revised the Eschers Dream cowl to a tube scarf. I have a short neck. I’m an Alaskan living/retired in South Carolina. Back home we call those cookies Russian Teacakes. Keep up the good work ladies 🤗
i make the Mexican Wedding Cookies every Christmas - Butter, pecans, a few other ingredientsrolled in powder sugar- my favorite!
Fun catching up Love the Obba! I want all of your kits! xo Kim
I just found you ladies! Great podcast! **SUBSCRIBE**
Love the Obba!!!
I always knew them as Mexican Wedding Cake cookies 😋
Love your sweaters they are so beautiful!!!!
I vote for an Obba KAL. Such a gorgeous sweater.
Hey ladies, I’d love to do the pressed flowers😊
I made the pressed flowers cardigan and hat for my Rhinebeck outfit this year.
Dina did you ever show your Easy V-neck sweater by Caitlin Hunter? I remember you starting it.
I always loved Karabella Aurora 8
My family has always made russian teacakes cookies for christmas. They also have nuts and powdered sugar.
Russian tea cakes and Mexican wedding cookies are the same thing -- the nuts are usually finely ground -- sooo delicious and so easy to make!
I am leaning toward the Pressed Flower cardigan but Ooba seems to be popular
Would love to do Pressed Flowers
Mexico wedding cookies. I will find the recipe and send to you
I vote for Obba….
Pressed flowers
Maybe pecan sandies?
Wonder why the big jump between sizes in Unicorn
Dina, I think you're thinking of Mexican Wedding cookies. They are usually like a short bread cookie in a ball with crushed pecans bits and rolled in powdered confectioners sugar.
OMGEEE yes yes yes!!!!!! Need to make those. I'm not really a baker. I like to throw ingredients in, baking is so precise.
Will have to give a try. Thank you!
@@TheKnittingPlace I love them but can no longer eat nuts 😔 but I used to make them at Christmas.
Both your sweaters are beautifull
Coquito…you should make it. It’s so easy and a holiday favorite. It’s like Puerto Rican Egg nog. I make it every year.
On a
do you mean alfajores?
The~wow, really great picture,I'll be bac,k ;))
Mexican wedding cookies…made with nuts and powdered sugar. Delicious.
I vote for Obama 👍
