Without a doubt, yacht will switch to electric propulsion at some point. It makes so much sense to do so. Electric motors are tiny and light compared to diesel ones. Having the batteries (the bulk of the weight) on the bottom will be great for stability. The utility rooms on todays yachts will be creatively used by designers and engineers, once the need for big diesel engines and generators is eliminated.
