Tattoo artist of 8 years here! Super impressed honestly - you're doing great! Just watched your 1st vid and now this one - lots of improvement already on your techniques! Small tip - try and not have coffee or any caffeine before tattooing - should help keep the nervous shaking at bay a little at least! :)
I love your “Tattooing myself” videos, they’re fun and it’s awesome to see your progression. I’ve recently bought some tattoo gear with all the cleaning and sanitary products I need. I’ve just been practicing for the past couple months and when I feel comfortable enough and at a good place I will end up practicing on myself 1st before ever going to someone else. Art IS pain, pain IS art! Great video, keep it up brother! 🤘🏼😎🤘🏼
@@JayDArtworks ya, I think you should absolutely do another tattoo video, maybe another one on yourself or someone else. Also, maybe you could do a video with the equipment you’re using, people always want to know what someone is using. It looked like you were using an FX Irons Spektra or Xion machine, cartridges and inks you’re using. Just wanted to throw some ideas out there. Anyways, keep up the great content, you’re funny and your videos are fun and I think if you continue to create content and maybe focus in on a specific genre or make some video series that you will see an increase in subscribers. Keep rockin brother! 🤘🏼😎🤘🏼

So awesome man, I’ve ordered all my gear and been practicing on oranges, have made the plunge into tattooing myself yet though. When did you feel comfortable enough to think screw it I can tattoo myself?
Fair play dude. Keep it up. I practiced tattooing for 6 years untill I tattooed real skin, making sure my hand speeds and skills were at a professional level. Ive also been drawing since 3 years old so kinda been practicing all my life 👍🤣
Thanks! I would appreciate it if you could some how change the design a little bit so it's not exactly the same. I mean it's better to have something original isn't it 😉😎

These videos are great. Fascinating to watch! I’m debating getting myself a tattoo gun. Still doing the research. How do you know how deep to push the needle in? 😊
The constant battle of You're mind saying "take the dam needle out yo leg" while simultaneously fighting the urge to keep tattooing. I shake just as bad while tattooing myself 😅😅😅
Much better than the first one. Congrats. ;) Glad to see that you wrapped the machine this time. ehehe A lot of the shaking comes from the head mounted cam coz the lines are clean. I actually think you should use a steady cam with a tripod.
Thanks mate! Yea maybe I should get a gopro hero 9 with hypersnooth 🤣 I can feel the camera wobbling on my head where I can't have it too tight. I had a tripod set up but every time I pulled a line the gopro was in front of the tattoo haha
@@jcrosado5572 cool ill add you up. Tbh my hands are real steady when I tattoo other people. It's the fear of doing it on myself I think. It soon goes away but its the initial start. I forgot to chew gum too 🙈 that's always a good one

I did find the move to human skin quite different and challenging but with 6 years of practice on pig skin and practice skin (reel skin is great buts 3mm thick silicone skins off amazing can be good too if you avoid the thin Chinese skins) I grew a great confidence. I would say every artist is different. But invest in good quality equipment, spend the money if you are serious. And practice on yourself like you're leg and see how you get on. If you struggle, go back to practice skins again. I waited untill I could continuously do a practice skin perfectly before I moved onto real skin. I hope this helps ✌️
