안녕하세요 Seoul Walker 입니다.
폭우가 지나간 뒤 7월 2일 강원도 동해바다를 찾았어요. 방탄소년단의 봄날 앨범 촬영지인 강원도의 여름 주문진 해수욕장과 향호해변, 안목해변, 그리고 남애항 등 총 4곳을 들렀답니다.(55분) 이른 여름 강원도의 동해바다의 다양한 파도소리를 들어보며 마음을 차분히 가라앉히고 힐링하세요. 하루동안 8시간 왕복 운전(공사로 인해 1시간 30분 이상 정체...)에 모든 곳을 돌아보느라 꽤 피곤하네요 😂 그럼 모두들 행복한 주말 되세요! (위키피디아에 '대한민국 동해' 가 '일본해' 로 표기된 것에 놀랐습니다.😡)

Hello all my friends, I'm Nathan from Seoul Walker.
Let's walk around 4 places of East Sea in Gangwon Province, South Korea. We're going to Jumunjin Beach, Anmok Beach, the alley of a quiet Gangwon-do village, and Namae Port(55 min), Especially Jumunjin Beach is the place where the K-pop boy group BTS's spring album jacket was filmed 💜

It takes 2hr 40mins by KTX train(USD 30/one way) and 3 hours(200km, but 4-5 hours during weekend traffic jam) by car from Seoul to East Sea of Gangwon-do, South Korea. I visited all four places during the day, so actually I was very tired because I drove 8 hours round trip 🤣 Have a happy weekend my friends!

Gangwon-do (Korean pronunciation: [kaŋ.wʌn.do]) is a province of South Korea, with its capital at Chuncheon. It is bounded on the east part by the East Sea, and borders Gyeonggi Province to its west, and North Gyeongsang Province and North Chungcheong Province to its south. Its northern boundary is the Military Demarcation Line, separating it from North Korea's Kangwŏn Province. Before the division of Korea in 1945 Gangwon and Kangwŏn formed a single province. Pyeongchang County hosted the 2018 Winter Olympics and 2018 Winter Paralympics. Gangwon will host the 2024 Winter Youth Olympics.
Gangwon-do is bounded on the west by Gyeonggi-do province, on the south by the provinces of Chungcheongbuk-do and Gyeongsangbuk-do. To the north lies the province's North Korean counterpart, Kangwŏn province. The province's landscape is dominated by the Taebaek Mountains (called Taebaek Sanmaek) which almost reach the sea. As a consequence the coast is very steep.
Gangwon Province has many tourist attractions, as well as natural monuments, e.g., Namiseom, Tong-il Observatory (similar of Dora Observatory), Soyang Dam and Jeongdongjin. A memorial center of a famous novelist, Lee Hyo-seok is in Pyeongchang County. Along the coast of the East sea, many seaside resorts are located, including Gyongpo Seaside Resort.
The only domestic casino in Gangwon is Kangwon Land, located in Jeongseon County.
The province also houses the largest Ski Resort in South Korea, the Yongpyong Resort.

The East Sea of Korea is great. The water is deeper and cleaner. On the West coast, I believe the water is more shallow and muddier.

This beach is beautiful! The water is blue like the Caribbean. When I lived there I couldn't get enough of the views.🏝😍 The colors of these waters relaxes my "live wire" brain!🥴
The town around it is so laid back. I saw plenty of areas I could see myself in. However I'd probably never get away from the waves. 😆

Beaches in korea are mostly with Cold Water.
Gee ko im from a tropical country and it's either very sunny or pouring rain for me here 😭 i think a new beach experience with the cold is gonna be memorable 😆

오늘 오랫만에 서울 올라와 옛친구(?)와 거닐있던 강남가로수길과 고속터미널지하상가(지나번 영상에 나왔던 상가)를 걸었는데요 한 두시간 걸었던거 같습니다 아~ 옛날이여 발목아프네요 ㅋㅋ
지금은 쉬며 영상으로 탁트인 동해바다보고 파도소리 듣고있네요^^
서울 워커님 그래도 계획은 하고 가셨겠지만 청시행 비치를 추천해준 입장에서 너무 재밌게봤어요 코로나로 해외여행을 못가니 강원이고 제주고 정말 많은 사람들이 폭발하는 지금입니다. 저희 부부는 올해 계획한것도 아닌데 제주고 강릉이고 올초 다시 다 돌았네요. 불과 2년반전만해도 우리 가족은 애견까지 다섯이었는데 셋만남았어요. 인생에 생각치도 못한 불행이 온다는걸 정말 상상조차 못했어요. 그후 셋이 된 지금 예전에 갔던 모든것들은 새시작에 대한 행복이자 아픔입니다. 서울워커님이 올려주시는 모든 영상이 제겐 그저 평범한 일상을 다시 느끼게 해줘요. 감사합니다. 조금더 힘들내어 저도 걸어보겠습니다. 전 강동구에 살고 있지만 하남시 유니온타워앞 강변따라 산책길은 어떨까요 전 정말 자주가요

When the sea is angry, I dream i'm a horse or even a dog, a retriever, running through the foam of its waves. I love the wind, the waves hugging me, the sand touching me. Same the sea, but different beach than in Busan. Houses, small buildings. Walls with beautiful murals. Wonderful flowers at the gates. The wild, idyllic beach for romantics. Threatening rocks. The red light. I like so much lighthouses. Legendary bus stop of BTS! Our memories of BTS and ARMY! There's a great emotion in this relationship. And love. Never walk alone BTS! Never walk alone ARMY! BTS are one of your country's greatest messengers. A national treasure. They carried the flag of South Korea on all meridians and parallels. So, comeback to the sea, to the beach. I love it because I'm a savage and I don't like sun loungers. Older skill, I like to feel the silky touch of the sand. I have a deep and personal relationship with water, wind and earth. To hear their heart, when I put my head on the sheet. Women's skin is prettier like this. And the kids are happier. The song of the mad waves you hear and feel through all the pores. But where are the seagulls? Where are the clams? On the beach, on summer mornings, I have a childish ritual. Looking for clams. Sunset in the sea! The Moon! The Sun! The Sea! Wow! Are there words that can describe it? Nop. Out of millions of words! On the Black Sea, the sun rises from the water, for that two things are important to me, getting up at 6 in every morning for meeting the Sun and hotel room towards sunrise! I'm between four walls but you brought me in my eyes, mind, heart and soul sand, waves and wind! Thank you so much! With all my heart! Be happy and loved how much can be a man! 💜

I guess they're just afraid of being tanned. Asians in general hate to get exposed to the Sun.
I think because it's not a beauty standard in Asia. It's more attractive to them to be paler whereas in other parts of the world people think it's nice to be more tanned.
