Actually, the Traptanium Portal is weird when it comes to Lightcore Skylanders. To get the brightest effect, you have to move the figure so it’s touching the rim of the portal. Hope that helps!
I got my Hot Head used, and I swore he was broken because his hands weren't lighting up! It's such a giant (haha) missed opportunity to have him specifically in a pose where his hands are on fire, to not have them light up.

Swarm: Really good, but the second arm not glowing brings it down compared to the rest. 5. Thumpback: Nice bright glow on his massive arms does make it pretty cool. 4. Ninjini: Awesome aura with the glowing smoke cloud and face, but maybe a bit dim. 3. Tree Rex: Simple and sweet. The glowing photosynthesis canon is iconic and intimidating. 2. Crusher: One of my favorite designed giants overall the blue eye beams and cyrstal armor is very well done. 1. Bouncer: His entire body practically glows and it's bright and emphasizes the tech gear symbol on his chest. On a side note I remember thinking when Giants came out that I wished they had made all of the new cores lightcore. I had no interest in reposed figures and if I were to collect all the cores it wouldn't have made sense to get half of them lightcore and the other half plain. It also would have been really easy to give Flashwing, Sprocket, Hotdog, and Fright Rider the lightcore element.
I love my lightcore prism break. So appropriate to his character. Bouncer is another one that I enjoyed, and of course Warnado. His sculpt is very neat, especially how it shines through the silver paint on his shell.

From what I've seen of Lightcore Eruptor, I'm not all that satisfied, and I'm surprised he made it so high up the list. I love Lightcore Hex, it basically changed her design completely! She went from being black and blue based, to black and red. The red shows up in game too! It’s just cool. There’s Hex, then the Cooler Hex.

Thanks to me alway's playing in the light I failed to even relize my Eye Brawl, Swam, S3 Warnado were even Light Core Skylanders. Can't help but think Grim Creepers whole form should've just glowed. I'm also rather Stunned they didn't do this for the Trap Masters!
I have all the lightcore skylanders but when I first started collecting the skylanders, it was between a "Series 2" skylanders that has an extra move or a slightly strengthened Skylander that has a attack that hurts every enemy on screen which isn't a good selling point for me. It made sense to buy the Lightcore only if that character was in Series 1 just to have a little extra to them..... and i now want to throw in my support for Ninjini as she's one of my favorite characters.
Just to clarify,giants are not considered lightcore. They are part of the giants class which makes them special. The only reason they decided to add the lights to them was because it would provide a better visual effect for them when lightcore figures came out alongside them. If you want a proper lightcore list,then do it with the skylanders that are branded as lightcore and not giants or any of variants that light up or simply change the title to Ranking The Light-Up Skylanders.
I have two Swarms, and my second Swarm's eyes don't light up. So the only thing that glows on my second Swarm is his upper right stinger. I don't know why that is. It is also pretty weird that his lower left stinger doesn't light up.
I rember my original Lightcore Shroomboom's eye was broken, atleast we found another one Also since I haven't commented before I would like to thank you for uploading all of the stuff you do because it kinda comforts me when I find someone who enjoys these games, kinda funny how I found this chanel when I decided to replay the games

Only one i have is Drobot and giants, I can confirm drobot is the worst one. Also i wish all the special skylanders(trap masters, swapers,etc.) In the future would be light core, like the giants

The reason to this is because the trap team portal senses from the light up rim unlike the other portals which sense in the middle

Lightcore prism break is me and my dads favourite. I think you can guess why. And then we completely fell in love with the character completely.

Some Lightcores that were released alongside their Series 2 updates, such as Giants Drobot, did NOT have the Series 2 version's Wow Pow ! Criminal !

My swarms lightcore broke randomly one day and it was heartbreaking.
Lightcore skylanders were dope but I dont think activision would like to put more time into some of them since its a side concept after all
