    That AWD on it is a beast. Hence the lower mpg. Also surprisingly, this doesn't need Premium gas.

    Hi Alex, you should include a maintenance and insurability segment. It seems like this information may play a significant role in helping people purchase their vehicles.
    It would be amazing to see you develop relationships with trusted mechanics and insurance brokers so that they could provide their feedback as well.
    Always amazing videos!

    I have been following Alex since the very beginning. He is by far the most comprehensive Car reviewer on TH-cam that I watch compared to many others that I follow who are not anywhere near as professional and seem to have crazy amount of Subs. I am litterally Excited to see when Alex post a new Video review. A reviewers job is to pass along the information and being impartial. No one does comparisons like AOA.

    Alex....terrific review as always. I just got a '20 Q3 Premium Plus. It drives beautifully and the seats are the most comfortable I have ever sat in likely due the the extended thigh cushions. The only negatives are the less than stellar fuel mileage and the quirky apple Carplay. I shopped for months and I think I made the right choice.

    Alex, thank you for your detailed reviews!
    Just a thought: why don't you compare cross-segments and include Mazda CX-5 Signature trim, for instance? The $38K price is where the segments overlap, the engine output and the offered features are very close, if not superior on the Mazda (ventilated seats?). Additionally, analyzing leases would be a great help to your subscribers, as some cars lease better despite their higher MSRP.

    • @RKO859
      @RKO859 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      CX-5 is a compact SUV, different segment. Leases are different in different states and countries, so that would be obsolete.

    The only issue I have with the q3 is that you need to go all the way to prestige to get what Honda gives you in an HRV. Why can’t we get lane keep and auto cruise in the base model? After having those features in my Accord, I wouldn’t want to go back to not having them, even if I don’t need the best sound system or some of the features included in the prestige.

    Currently a very happy owner of a 2-year old A4 I must say I was very disappointed with the new Q3. The interior quality is just not what is expected from Audi; lots and lots of piano black plastic on the dash. I like much more the X1 interior as it makes you feel you are in a proper BMW. X1 back seat is considerably more comfortable and it has more cargo room. My issue with the X1 is the lack of some safety features not even available as options.

    • @Ronniezim
      @Ronniezim 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I completely agree. I have a '19 SQ5, and I wanted the Q3 for my wife, but we ended up getting the X1. It's been great, has a lot of cargo capacity for its size, and is nice to drive. I'd definitely recommend the X1 over the Q3.

      I would disagree on the XC40 being better in winter. The Quattro or AWD system that all Audi's have is IMO the best AWD system in the car business. The only company that can come close is the Acura SH-AWD.

    Maybe the new version is better, but the Q3 I rented was slow, poorly built and cheap feeling, and, in my opinion, not worth what Audi is asking for, money-wise.

    Great video! Do you know the color of the Q3 shown during the comparisons at the end of the video? Also any news of what the HP might be on the "more powerful Q3" that's rumored? I have a 2006 Audi A4 3.2 that produces 255 HP, so dropping down to 228 might be a problem for me! :)

    Q3 or RDX

    • @Jrod95

      Different segments I believe; Q3 is a subcompact while RDX is a compact. I ended up getting a Q5 but cross-shopped the XC60 and RDX.

    So, Audi used to be an extremely practical entry-level luxury car manufacturer. This is a small SUV, that has less practical trunk than Honda Fit. WTF?
    Just make a wagon and coupe version and problem solved...

    I don't think your value analysis vs the XC40 is valid. You have to go premium plus to get some of the features you get on a T5 standard. The Volvo handles better. Saying the Q3 is better because you can option the summer tires is disingenuous. Unless you live and drive full time in the southern half of the US you're getting all season. I suspect almost all get all season tires. All the car magazines have the XC40 out handling the Q3.

    If you don’t mind owning a vehicle with near constant annoying problems where you’ll end up on a first name basis with the staff at your Audi dealer, and things that are standard on most Japanese, Korean,and US competitors, by all means buy this overpriced fake SUV.

    Can I give you some honest feedback as a viewer? Here it is: you really talk a lot, maybe it is better to not give THIS MUCH info. I mean we do not want to know how many exact seconds all the cars in this class do regarding acceleration. Could you also no use your hands so much when filming interior? It looks very feminine and irritates me a lot.
