I heard the album for this show this past weekend, and it’s been so long since I’ve fallen in love with a show. I am definitely planning on seeing this show in November for my birthday.
Not usually into these sort of things, but I might make an exception since this is Alanis Morissette’s iconic Jagged Little Pill. And I heard she wouldn’t agree if it was going to be silly or cheesy which these things can be. And apparently they made really good and really deep.
I have my issues with a handful of the changes they made, but those issues are few and far between and on the whole they did an amazing job. (From the perspective of just listening to the cast album. I'm sure the full show would give enough context for me to warm up to the changes they made)
Broadway might be shut down, but this show WILL be back!
I love how Alanis gives real heartfelt hugs to the cast. She is just the queen of awesome!
