As an "oldie" (Jon Pertwee was my first Doctor), I think it's great that younger fans like yourself are keeping the heritage of the classic era stories alive. Your enthusiasm for the show is infectious.
I loved collecting the Target books when I was younger. I had them all but, shockingly at 15, decided that I was too old for Doctor Who and gave them all away! I've regretted it ever since. I also love The Crusaders. The bits with El Akir and Barbara are quite disturbing. My Target collection is growing again and my favourites are: Terror of the Autons, The Daleks, The Ark in Space and The Curse of Peladon. What do you think of the Big Finish CDs?
For me it was a combination of the Target books, the audios and the DVD's (then VHS tapes) with the "orphan episodes" in order to get a feel what the complete stories were like. Although I had to put my book and audio of Enemy of the World aside when they found the complete story!
What I do is copy the link of the video and put them on savefromnet and save them to my photos I then connect to my iPad move the video over on my laptop and save them to a USB
