I am from India myself and it’s one of the reasons I got this, it’s qauality is pathetic and stopped working in 2 days, their support doesn’t respond, I liked the concept and watched your review before buying this, but I regret buying this, waste of money
Better is subjective. Tangem is easier to use. But, Cypherock might be considered more secure because it has its own offline device for setting up your wallet vs Tangem which uses your phone.
I tried Tangem cards, and I found the NFC was poor at scanning the cards, I tried on two smartphones with no phone case, and I found the X1 scans quickly, but I wouldn't recommend any of them, I would find a better device, and looks like the X1 app fee to transfer back is very high.
also did a test by sending back and forth a small amount of XRP, and the app won't let me go below 10 XRP, so it looks like the app locks 10 to keep, why ??? any idea's
this is enforced by Ripple and XRP network , not the wallet itself , I think they moved down to 5 xrp minimum , not sure about the exact number but I'm positive on the concept.
I have just taken delivery of the X1, and setup, I am testing the device. I was unable to change the currency symbol from $ to £, and I forgot the password on purpose on the app to test recovery of the wallet, on restarting the app, it prompted for a new password, the option to create a new wallet or if I have one, so I check to have a wallet, recover, but then a wallet is empty, no accounts?, when recovery, why no accounts, then prompt add an account to the wallet if the vault is supposed to have the assets?
you need to do a test transaction in and out of wallet, then try recover and add accounts , do you see same old addresses and transaction history in this case? the idea here is when recovering you should read accounts on your part while the software/hardware search and extract all your previous accounts , I hate to say it , but ledger does this pretty well.
I saw your other comment. Here’s my thought. Tangem = easiest to use PERIOD Trezor = still pretty easy to use, offers more security features than Tangem, 100% open source Cypherock = kind of falls in the middle, more security features than Tangem, easy to use, not completely open source like Trezor. Also, whichever wallet you choose, make sure it supports the coins you hold BEFORE buying it. - Alex
@@cyberscrilla honestly I just relooked and seen the mobile demo video without the hardware vault is 4yrs ago if I'm right... Looks like a great value, love the Shamir backup, EAL6+, etc... but the *coin (and chain) support* is worst in class!!! No $AKT, $DYDX, $FLOW, $GLMR, $MINA, $NEAR, $OSMO, $SAGA, $STX, $TAO, $TIA, $XTZ, also no native Cosmos, Injective, or Polkadot chains. Basically, this is for people who only use EVM, SOL, BSC, or BTC chains.
Cypherock X1 is the clear winner. 👍🏻 Tangem doesn't have a dedicated display to view transactions offline. That's a joke. You can never rely on a mobile app to view addresses. Amazing video #CyberScrilla. Bought one today.
Made in India. No. Also way too fiddly. Surely too many moving parts. Joystick like it’s 1983. Lots of fail points. KISS. NGRAVE for HODL. Tangem or KeepKey for transfers and Keystone 3 Pro for trading.
That’s quite a statement for not having actually used the product yourself. It’s more than sturdy. I have game consoles that are 30 years old and the joystick still works.
@@cyberscrillaindeed. It would be. So I bought one to trial it. Moving parts. Plastic. Made in India. That’s a problem. It means in my experience (big statement or otherwise) your data is marginally secure. It’s likely to end up on a database being sold somewhere on the dark web. And that is in my experience a real risk. So would you actually risk storing your HODL crypto on a device made in India of plastic cheap material. And so if you have any working knowledge of Indian quality assurance and privacy protection - you’d have to say no. Not that big a statement really.
Made in India actually means quality unlike Made in China. Westerners will realise this in the future!! Indians abolutely love quality!! Its a cultural thing..., If they have money they will always go for quality over quantity!! Chinese are culturally opposite in this regard!! Indians only lack finishing quality whereas chinese excells in that!! But build quality wise india is up there with the best.

Can we use tangem cards+ cypherrock x1vault device ??
@ nope.
First time hearing of them. Interesting design will check them
out!
Thanks for the video! Going to check it out. I still like my Tangem.
Thanks for watching. Tangem is still awesome!
The main difference here is the vault and the Shamir secret phrase for increased security.
No XRP support. Thanks for the update.

How Mandy network in cypherock?
Are you asking how many blockchain networks the Cypherock wallet supports?

Which is better Tangem or this one
Cypherock has more security features.

No. This is a hardware wallet for managing and storing crypto.

Tangem on the other hand - as a temporary day to day transactor - is superb. But wouldn’t Hodl on a blind signer. Do you?
And you do wonder why tangem don’t utilise the Shamir sharing system in their own cards.
