WMATA 2006 New Flyer D40LFR

My all-time favorite unit in WMATA’s fleet is their ‘06 LFR #6133. Definitely was a lot faster than the rest of the buses in this series and had (in my opinion) some of the best sounding axles out of all the other various ‘06 diesels. This bus was also recently auctioned off (3rd week of August 2024) which was a little bittersweet to me but unfortunately is apart of the lifecycle of a transit bus. Anywho, enjoy this video and all the sounds it has to offer, on WMATA’s newest MetroBus route as well!

Unfortunately no longer in revenue-service but occasionally can be spotted as heating/cooling buses
