gosh you're really making me want to check out this anime. there's something really beautiful about this piece that i can't put into words and i love the scenes where Ash is close-up with Pidgeot there's something so telling about the bond between them that you capture i LOVE it if you want some good pokemon story recs, I'd really recommend Renaerys's Pokemon AU series. It's dark but has absolutely fascinating world-building and a really deep look at what Pokemon could be if it aimed its audience for adults (that is, more focused on the politics and potential brutality of beasts of immense power living alongside humans. It's honestly a treat). Festival of Champions (it's a manga) is also stupidly good too. It's a different take on Pokemon Special/the anime/the games and honestly its a toptier Pokemon "fanfic"
