Please note that in my opinion only shrimps and snails are suitable for such small setups. I have added the pair of guppies temporarily for the video shoot and cycling of the tank. They will be housed back to my main propagation tank after a couple of weeks. This will be a shrimp and snail tank only in the longer run. Also this is a Walstad style setup and hence no filter or CO2 has been used. It is meant to develop into a thriving ecosystem. The plants will act as a natural filter so more plants, the better it is. However it will need regular water changes and maintenance to keep the plants and livestock in good health. Fertiliser dosing will also be needed for plant growth.
@@TheUrbanNemophilist That's great. I look forward to seeing more. Maybe a paludarium or two would combine both the beauty of an aquascape with your skills of terrariums.
It's an amazing build! And I love how this going to ge a shrimp/snail setup in the long run! I realy would like to do something like this myself some day!
Thank you. This is so helpful - in addition to being beautiful to watch. I'm very encouraged by your take on the Walstad method. (Garden soil never worked for me) I'm eager to give your way a try!
I'm really glad you cleared up the fact that that wasn't the guppies permanent new home, because that's way too small for them. Do you know what kind of snails and shrimp are going in there yet?
Very nice video. Am looking to start with something simple like this as a first project. Can I ask you what kind of a light have you used? And any tips for a first timer?
Yes I think but you should use only one source to maintain consistency of parameters. So you should have enough stored rainwater to be able to do regular water changes.
amazing work !! but i do have some questions - which fertiliser would you suggest for this setup ? Also do we need to put any co2 supplement if we want to maintain this in longer run ? finally can we put 2 shrimps and 2 snails in this size ? or will this be overcrowded ? what do you suggest ?

I wondered why you had guppies in there 😂😂😂
@@paulstingray same I also wondered why they put guppies in there
@Galaxy Synth egg shells work well too...
Welcome to the beautiful world of aquascaping ..
Ay green aqua
Beautiful build. And I learned something I'll use forever. The layer of bubble wrap to break up the stream of water when filling the tank.
Thank you!
I love the design, Sushanto. You have such skill putting hard scape with plants together with a natural look. Thanks for the post.
Thank you
This is so relaxing to watch after a hectic week
Watching this made me question my priorities in life
Oh my me too
I too have the dilemma... But everyone's own mental peace is required to enjoy their life. People find it watching nature at their home

Beautiful! That was a very valuable tip for adding water.

I like the plastic blocking water pouring in :)
Yes it prevents the sand and soil getting stirred up while filling up water
Oh! Wow! I am speechless 🥰🥰🥰

Thank you
Beautiful and well done. Only one minor thing - I could be wrong, but I think those are guppies not tetras.
Very nice setup! I absolutely love it,next time try some caridina shrimp like tangerine tigers
Thank you 🙏. I haven’t seen them at my local aquarium store. Will check again. I like them too.
@@TheUrbanNemophilist oh! You can also make a nano aquarium and add tangerine tigers and crystal blacks or reds ti make some cool shrimp hybrids

What a beautiful little tank! Question: what purpose does the bubble wrap have when you fill the tank with water?
Thanks. It prevents the soil getting displaced from the force of falling water.
