My theory is she drew a lot of inspiration from parts of Star specifically. I remember hearing it was one of her favorites she has ever created. I don’t have the full-sized Star so I can’t compare, but I think the swatches for My Dream and Mini Star would match up fairly well with the full-sized Star and people could create similar looks. If not a dupe than definitely could dupe the vibes.
Yes! That makes sense as it was her favorite palette: Serenity is Supernova from Star, and Babies having a similar finish to Bellatrix. And I think Instinct is similar to Phoenix.

I honestly thought My Dream looked a lot more cool toned and cool purples in the preview pictures and Natasha Denona’s own swatches. But it’s really more red purples and burgundies which I already have a lot of between my ND and Pat McGrath palettes. This was so helpful-always appreciate your thorough reviews and thoughts!
Your purchase/demo of the lip colors prevented a total fail for me because we have similar pigmented lips 🥴 (not a fan of the light cool mauve!). I’m torn on the palette and cheek trio, so those demos were also extremely helpful, Alicia. 🙏🏽💞

And I know for myself, that I don’t want to rush anymore in order to get a video up. So it’s out of practicality on my part, but I do feel consumers are more reasonable overall with their makeup shopping these days.

Saturday I picked up the palette though I thought I might wait but I really loved this one on first sight, so I went ahead and get it. I never bought Lila because I felt it was a cool palette. I still sometimes wonder if it comes into stock if I should pick it up. I feel this and a recent Mothership I picked up is about the best colour stories I have in my large collection Truly a greatest hit palettes. Natasha is the best at colour stories. I wished she did a face palette for dark skin because I looove face palettes Those looks are beautiful! Use the lipstick to tone down your more vampy lips or use a darker pencil to contour the lips. It will work that way!
I’m hoping she will release a cheek trio with deeper tones. At least two maybe for the holidays!? I love these shades, and loved every look I created. Even the ones off camera!
I had been waiting for you to review this and I'm so happy I did! I do not have any Natasha Denona palettes, I had the glam palette but it was too cool but this is very beautiful on your skin tone as it looks very elegant and sophisticated. I will definitely get this for my winter wardrobe 💜

Your eye looks are so pretty!! Star is my favorite palette I own, and personally I don't see the point of getting Dream unless you don't already have Star and can't find it. They are just so similar, but for me Star is better because I prefer her older formulas, especially the 28 pan formulas with the thick extra sparkle shades. The last ND palette I got and loved was Circo Loco, the last few have not inspired me at all. I love ND though and am waiting for an interesting color story again, I would really love some new warm green shades!

You ARE Movement and Beauty, Alicia! I have the palette, and I love the "quad" in the lower left corner of the eyeshadow palette. I could use that every day, happily. The purple leaning pinks in this palette call my name, and I answer their call. This palette does have some DRII aspects to it, for sure, and I'm glad you pointed that out. I don't know if you have Wayne's "Sweet Wildflower" blush/highlighter palette, but ND"s cheek palette is almost an exact match for that palette. If you have one, you don't need the other (unless you want the cream highlighter in ND's palette). I could see your look of disappointment about the lip products, but you actually made me want them! I love that light, bright pink on you. But I see your point about them. And if something doesn't bring you joy, then why have/use it? I'm so grateful for you, Alicia. Have a blessed day.
This is true! I have Wildflower, and the shades are similar. And I do think the shades are lovely, but not the best on me. But for you!? Oh yes 😍 Aside from the color, the lipgloss is incredible silky, and comfy to wear.

I love this palette. I have your skin color maybe a bit lighter and I love the palette and the blush. Blush must be a touch of color not a load of color. I do loved the shades and the blush on you. Looked gorgeous.
I’m glad that you compared the palette to Lila. I don’t gravitate towards Lila. I think the palette is so pretty. I just never pulled for it. The multi chrome shade that is similar to Divine Rose II is also similar to a one in ND Triochrome.

Amen on calling out the “eggplant” in this palette. That is a medium pinkish burgundy, not even close the richness or hue of eggplant. Bummed on that one color, however I love the concept.
I ordered the palette only from Sephora. But after watching a few more reviews, I went ahead and bought the entire collection from ND's website. I found a 15% off code, so I picked up everything for $158.40. I'm fair so I think the lip products will work well with my complexion, same for the cheek trio.

I would definitely like to see her release some additional cheek palettes. My sons girlfriend is from Haiti and she is pretty dark complected. It would be nice for people with darker skin tones to have options as well. Even if Natasha came out with 2 or 3 of the cheek palettes a light a medium and a dark that would be fantastic. I still love my new dream palettes as they are perfect for me and my skin tone. However, it is no where near flexible enough to cover a broad shade range. I have gotten the smallest most teeny tinyest sliver of a glimpse into the struggle of finding makeup for darker skin when trying to find things that will work for my sons girlfriend. Her skin is absolutely beautiful and very dark so this blush wouldn't come close to working for her. Love you videos and I'm so glad to have stumbled upon your channel a couple months ago. I too hope Natasha releases more shades in the cheek trio. I understand how this release was edited, and it revolves around her fav colors. If she can recreated more trios with the same formula, then that would be fantastic.

You look great! I like this 60 ies vibe on you lipstick included, especially the lighter look over the right side. It works as a whole. I have far too many eyeshadows as it is, but I enjoyed the review.
I am deeper than you so these eyeshadow shades I feel show up much more differently on me than you. I don't want to give away all of my thoughts until my video premieres but I do think for those who are looking for a palette that works for corporate "appropriate" looks I would definitely reach for this collection.

Alicia , I just got this and blush and highlighter palette as well . I LOVE the color story of this palette. I’m cool toned with a pink undertone. Needless to say this is right up my alley. I do own almost every palette except the more warmer ones. The only thing for me is getting use to a cream to powder formula. Plus, I have VERY dry skin due to dehydration and low Potassium issues. It’s always has been hard for me to master her palettes . I’ve used every primer on the market with little success, except the new Jaclyn Hill’s eye primer. I have used it twice so far and I think this is now my favorite ND palettes. Love 💕 you…..Judy D..From NY State..

Hi Alicia. I'm really liking your your new intro. I've seen a couple of videos on this eyeshadow palette. And it's pretty interesting from the standpoint that there are different formulas and also I noticed a couple of shades that were dual chrome that remind me of some Pat McGrath shades out of I think it's the celestial divinity palette it's a holiday palette that had Star wars in there too. But then again, it seems like everyone takes inspiration from everyone else these days. I'm just going to sit back and watch this video I can't wait for the six looks which is more than what I've seen anyone else do and I know you're going to deliver a thorough video Thank you. I actually got to go into a sephora last week (I was abroad, I live in the UK), and I saw retro in person and decided it wasn't for me. But this one might have enough other shades to make it worth it. I'll wait for a sale as I want a couple of her palettes. Also love the bronze cheek palette so will probably pick this one up too. Love this pallet on you, especially the deep purple pink colors. I haven't ever tried these colors and not sure how they would work on my older eyes. That metallic pink was stunning on you.

Your eye looks are so pretty!! Star is my favorite palette I own, and personally I don't see the point of getting Dream unless you don't already have Star and can't find it. They are just so similar, but for me Star is better because I prefer her older formulas, especially the 28 pan formulas with the thick extra sparkle shades. The last ND palette I got and loved was Circo Loco, the last few have not inspired me at all. I love ND though and am waiting for an interesting color story again, I would really love some new warm green shades!

You ARE Movement and Beauty, Alicia! I have the palette, and I love the "quad" in the lower left corner of the eyeshadow palette. I could use that every day, happily. The purple leaning pinks in this palette call my name, and I answer their call. This palette does have some DRII aspects to it, for sure, and I'm glad you pointed that out. I don't know if you have Wayne's "Sweet Wildflower" blush/highlighter palette, but ND"s cheek palette is almost an exact match for that palette. If you have one, you don't need the other (unless you want the cream highlighter in ND's palette). I could see your look of disappointment about the lip products, but you actually made me want them! I love that light, bright pink on you. But I see your point about them. And if something doesn't bring you joy, then why have/use it? I'm so grateful for you, Alicia. Have a blessed day.
This is true! I have Wildflower, and the shades are similar. And I do think the shades are lovely, but not the best on me. But for you!? Oh yes 😍 Aside from the color, the lipgloss is incredible silky, and comfy to wear.

I love this palette. I have your skin color maybe a bit lighter and I love the palette and the blush. Blush must be a touch of color not a load of color. I do loved the shades and the blush on you. Looked gorgeous.
I’m glad that you compared the palette to Lila. I don’t gravitate towards Lila. I think the palette is so pretty. I just never pulled for it. The multi chrome shade that is similar to Divine Rose II is also similar to a one in ND Triochrome.

Amen on calling out the “eggplant” in this palette. That is a medium pinkish burgundy, not even close the richness or hue of eggplant. Bummed on that one color, however I love the concept.

I ordered the palette only from Sephora. But after watching a few more reviews, I went ahead and bought the entire collection from ND's website. I found a 15% off code, so I picked up everything for $158.40.
I'm fair so I think the lip products will work well with my complexion, same for the cheek trio.

I would definitely like to see her release some additional cheek palettes. My sons girlfriend is from Haiti and she is pretty dark complected. It would be nice for people with darker skin tones to have options as well. Even if Natasha came out with 2 or 3 of the cheek palettes a light a medium and a dark that would be fantastic.
I still love my new dream palettes as they are perfect for me and my skin tone. However, it is no where near flexible enough to cover a broad shade range.
I have gotten the smallest most teeny tinyest sliver of a glimpse into the struggle of finding makeup for darker skin when trying to find things that will work for my sons girlfriend. Her skin is absolutely beautiful and very dark so this blush wouldn't come close to working for her.

I am deeper than you so these eyeshadow shades I feel show up much more differently on me than you. I don't want to give away all of my thoughts until my video premieres but I do think for those who are looking for a palette that works for corporate "appropriate" looks I would definitely reach for this collection.

Alicia , I just got this and blush and highlighter palette as well . I LOVE the color story of this palette. I’m cool toned with a pink undertone. Needless to say this is right up my alley. I do own almost every palette except the more warmer ones. The only thing for me is getting use to a cream to powder formula. Plus, I have VERY dry skin due to dehydration and low Potassium issues. It’s always has been hard for me to master her palettes . I’ve used every primer on the market with little success, except the new Jaclyn Hill’s eye primer. I have used it twice so far and I think this is now my favorite ND palettes. Love 💕 you…..Judy D..From NY State..

Hi Alicia. I'm really liking your your new intro. I've seen a couple of videos on this eyeshadow palette. And it's pretty interesting from the standpoint that there are different formulas and also I noticed a couple of shades that were dual chrome that remind me of some Pat McGrath shades out of I think it's the celestial divinity palette it's a holiday palette that had Star wars in there too. But then again, it seems like everyone takes inspiration from everyone else these days. I'm just going to sit back and watch this video I can't wait for the six looks which is more than what I've seen anyone else do and I know you're going to deliver a thorough video Thank you. I may just get this this palette since it does have some warmth in it. Something that I just I definitely need with my golden skin tone. 🙏💖💐🤗 Take care
Thank you so much, Dawn! Yes Cosmic from the Star Wars palette has a more neon pink flip, while Thrill is more of a neutral pink. Both very sparkly! And Vision is basically Blitz Sextreme from DR II.
I actually got to go into a sephora last week (I was abroad, I live in the UK), and I saw retro in person and decided it wasn't for me. But this one might have enough other shades to make it worth it. I'll wait for a sale as I want a couple of her palettes. Also love the bronze cheek palette so will probably pick this one up too.
