Do you think there is a lot of pressure for African women to have children? You can connect with Sally here th-cam.com/channels/PZzgaqldCC-gbQ7IjflsGA.html To share your story with us, send a well detailed brief to lynnngugi4@gmail.com or lynnngugishow@gmail.com for consideration
I am from Rwanda, I thought this happens only in my country. There is such pressure and emotional abuse on women because they can't get pregnant fast or simply can't have children, it is horrible and heartbreaking
My question is where is written down it is a must to have kids.how is important? Does it mean having kids here on earth we will go to heaven than those don't have. Let us value ourselves
A lot of pressure especially for us in our 30s. They make all of our achievements seems like nothing just because we dont have a litter of kids. Such backward thinking.
People never understand there are some questions that you should NEVER ask! 1. When will you get children?/Are you pregnant? 2. Have you gained/lost weight? 3. How much is your salary?/How much do you earn? etc. 4. When will you get married?/Why are you still single? -The relationship you have with the person determines whether the question asked is deemed disrespectful or not. But most times, just don't ask unless the other party brings it up.
Thank you so much Lynn Ngugi for having me on our famous Yellow Chair. It was an absolute pleasure.. It felt like I'd talked to you for just 10 minutes.
I love the maturity, wisdom and personality this lady is exhibiting I have suffered the same and found myself in emotionally abusive marriage as I tried to get a baby to please society but I realized I was loosing myself finally I called it quite. Am inspired lynn .guys don't ask us why, when? we don't know ,God knows
+ it's not a must, females are not baby manufacturing machines. If men want kids badly, let them go ahead and do the dead beat stuff they repeat and bring up broken kids. Am not with that B S.👏👏👏 gal 4 smelling the rat and choosing U. Do U,enjoy
People can be toxic yaa at 33 am not married and there is no sign people kept asking when I was 27 at 30 I told them am married and if they ask about babies I told them to fill the world on my behalf and they stopped asking me. Sally you are amazing and I thank God for your life, you will live more years.
Hello Madam Ngugi, it was such a pleasure to have my daughter on your show, and yes, l promised her l will make sure l visit your show too. It was such a memorable experience thinking on how strong my daughter is. She is my husband as l did put it to her because l don't want no one pressuring her. She is the reason l will make sure she remains my little baby girl all the time. Keep it with your wonderful show. Cheers, feel much appreciated and loved.
I do not think and I’ll never think I’m worthless cause I’m 32 without a child which is by choice.I’m not even planning to have one soon until God’s will happens.I will never succumb to societal expectations of different stages in a woman’s life.I might as well decide never to have kids in life cause after all this is my life. They call us all sorts of names but that will never get to me.
Am 32 single no kids and I love and enjoy every single moment of my life My mom told me if I don't want to have kids it's okay and no one should bother me at all
The sad thing is that the "utazaa lini" comes from close family members and friends..Some of them say it jokingly but on the receiver's side, the words have weight
My neighbours used to laugh at my friend that she had no children, she was only 23yrs in 2018 ,she decided to end up faking the pregnancy, we all thought that she was pregnant , she used even to shop for a newborn and I used to go with her ,after I left Kenya , I called one year later to ask how the baby was, then she opened up to me that she couldn't handle the intimidation from neighbours that's why she faked and she even lied to her mother in law about the false pregnancy ....... but I told her to stay focused, stress free and let God's will to be done .
I live in the US and I big portion of married couple choose not to have children or to adopt and others choose to have pets and they are proud to introduce their dogs or cats as babies. Just different world.
Pressure from the society. Its also happening in campus. Your friend gets 'partially' married and gets a kid, now they start asking you when are you planning to get one. like seriusly does it concern you? Did I advice anyone to marry and get kid while in school? After explaining my lifetime plans, how will it help you?
Boundaries is what we need to.have as humans , we are so judgemental of other peoples lives while ours ain't all perfect. Live and let others live period !!!...
Some People are soo insensitive! Nasty comments about having/not having kids!.. We really have a long way to go and understand (IT'S NOT A MUST) you have kid's! for you to be a Woman! .The Society expectations!..the pressure is too much!. As Sals stated, in Europe is totally dffrnt!.. I live In Germany, and here no one will judge or question you. Vile inafaa.. Sals you are soo strong ❤. God bless you. Amazing Show Lynn❤. God bless you 🙏
Very insightful topic. If someone asks you when you are going to have kids or get married, ask them when they are going to die, I bet they won't talk to you. Anyway you don't need such people in your life.
The community we're living is so judgmental on what other do or face in life... "Salome what you endured shaped you to who you're today... I wish you could take it to been a counselor... Congrats you're one in a million... Kudos".
I just turned 25 and people are already asking why I don't have kids😂 . Am not married and I don't even have a well paying job. I don't owe the world a child. People should mind their own business😏
25!!!!! You'd think you're about to expire..... work on building yourself first.. you have the rest of your life to become a mother... no one will help you raise your kids... they'll point fingers at you talking about how bad of a mother you are and how much you're letting your kids suffer. Having kids is a choice and only you can make it..
Getting a biological might seem as easy as ABC but it's not just a matter of having sex and you have it. There are people with underlying condition (infertility, fibroids, endometriosis, cervical cancer, blocked tubes;Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser (lack of womb); anovulation & PCOS hindering them to sire both MEN & WOMEN. For marriage its not just having a woman or man in life it means having a lovely relationship but some people might have trauma, rejection, abuse in the past that send chills in the body. They wouldn't wish to get in marriage to FULFIL SOCIETY wish. Its better to stay single than to enter in gates of marriage and suffer the rest of life.

Hello Lynn, a times people waste their time and working hard concerning others life without knowing what he /she is going through.just reminder u people with such behaviours God is watching you.
Thank you Lynn for this show today! Such an important topic for women and for families who care about their women. The pressure on women to have children, especially by a husband is ridiculous. We do not make ourselves conceive. Children are a gift from God. Also, so many men have fertility issues due to disease, genetics, lifestyle, etc. And testing for men is usually the last step in the investigation. And then voila, the problem was the man's low fertility! Let us take charge of our minds so we can have control of what happens to our bodies.
Thanks Lynn for this show, some men also under go this hard time of when are you bringing us a grandkid .the question is hard to answer for God blesses people with kids, we have no power on that issue childbearing.
In this life most people we meet are so cruel especially us women. I love her confidence , her self esteem, she's unbreakable. Taking life positively and uniquely 👌💕...thanks Lynn for a good job
Thanks for this show.I happened to give birth at 22 but my kid is a special need so me and my partner we decided not to have a kid any soon.People have the audacity telling us to forget about the champ and have another kid. Am telling you it hurts so much I even try to isolate myself from other women because when they see me they feel am waisting time in my marriage my champ is just 3yrs am just 25 and not even ready to have another child
I agree people should stop judging what they don’t know and not all people want kids I married my husband who did not want kids ( he can if he wanted ) while when we met I had my own 3 children 11 years down the line we still have the best relationship and married life together
My mum taught me to only be bothered about my self ,but some people out there are just unbearable,,learn to see and love people just the way they are.if they open up about what they are going through ,listen to them but donot judge them nor decide for them,,just advice and pls don’t spread it
This is a cultural perception and expectation of the ideal woman. There are many women and men who have made a choice not to have children. They leave perfectly normal lives.
It's the highest moment that women should not be seen or termed as objects! We're living in a very harsh society! Ladies let's focus on our careers and build ourselves first.

Wale humtusi Hana mtoto shame on you big time, enjoy sals you are the CEO of your own life ❤️❤️❤️ I remember one woman insulted her on FB I cryied 😭 I remembered when I was looking for a child myself.
Thank for this. People especially women are so mean when they pressurize other women on these kids issues. This is an issue you should never ask unless they voluntarily offer to talk about it. I feel like tagging some people here. They don't know the issues some of us have gone through
unfortunately we are living in a society where people don't care about what we are going through, battling with or feeling. the way people have become deputy Jesus in peoples lives is questioning. God have mercy on us
Thank you for this! Wonderful topic. Another set of pressure comes to one child mothers. I have one child and am ok with it but I have had many people pressure me about having another one and insinuating that one child is not good enough. Apparently to some people, you are not a complete mother with only one child!
She is strong and beautiful lady who believes and trust in herself...that is strong foundation that overcome critism and negativety words that people can say
Foundation was set by my mother. That's what mothers need to do. Mould their kids to trust and believe in themselves and know they can always run to their parents for comfort and support.
Salome you are my kind of girl. Honest, intelligent, funny, hardworking. I am soooo proud of you . I had the same ops due to fibroids. My one was 2.5 kg the best ops I ever done. I am a mother of 2 but choose to stop at 2 . May god bless and heal you cancer free. Sending love to your son and mum and yoursel. Maryj from London
I swear ,those who ask that question don't mean to be harsh . They just don't understand but their questions are not intended to hurt anyone. It's how we were brought up . I apologize on behalf of all of them who made you uncomfortable without realising.

Ben following sals on social media since 2016! U are a strong woman salome
Salome you're such amazing woman keep that spirit high your confidence is on another level Lynn God bless you
Always Mami.. Always... 😘😘😘😘😘
Thank for this. People especially women are so mean when they pressurize other women on these kids issues. This is an issue you should never ask unless they voluntarily offer to talk about it. I feel like tagging some people here. They don't know the issues
some of us have gone through
Both you and mum are my heroes ❤
unfortunately we are living in a society where people don't care about what we are going through, battling with or feeling. the way people have become deputy Jesus in peoples lives is questioning. God have mercy on us
This woman is talking some factual and real truths. I applaud your outspokenness. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Thank you😘
Thank you for this! Wonderful topic. Another set of pressure comes to one child mothers. I have one child and am ok with it but I have had many people pressure me about having another one and insinuating that one child is not good enough. Apparently to some people, you are not a complete mother with only one child!
Again you can never ever please people. No kids, have kids..
Have a child, ooohhh one kid is not enough!!!!
Wow! Wat a story! Thanx Lynn & Sally, this was fire....this is one of the stories I've realm loved. Kudos
Thank you Rose for watching.
I never ask anyone why about it coz I have gone though it, people always ask (*kwani huoni unazeeke bila mtoto
She is strong and beautiful lady who believes and trust in herself...that is strong foundation that overcome critism and negativety words that people can say
Foundation was set by my mother. That's what mothers need to do. Mould their kids to trust and believe in themselves and know they can always run to their parents for comfort and support.
Wow hugs Sals u such an awesome soul so inspiring

Salome you are my kind of girl. Honest, intelligent, funny, hardworking. I am soooo proud of you . I had the same ops due to fibroids. My one was 2.5 kg the best ops I ever done. I am a mother of 2 but choose to stop at 2 . May god bless and heal you cancer free. Sending love to your son and mum and yoursel. Maryj from London
Those who ask utazaa lini may thunder strike you 🙄🙄🙄,I love the show ❤️❤️❤️
This lady nails it! I have nothing to add for me....
Used to watch her on Facebook live, she is a strong woman
I swear ,those who ask that question don't mean to be harsh .
They just don't understand but their questions are not intended to hurt anyone.
It's how we were brought up .
I apologize on behalf of all of them who made you uncomfortable without realising.
If asked in a calm way I will give a proper answer.. But at times the tone, the motive of asking such is meant to hurt you..
