It is sad that in this age of information some men still have issues with child gender. A child is a child and furthermore, it is a man who determines the sex of a child depending on whether his sperm is carrying an X or Y chromosome. Y from father and X from mother will give a boy. X from father and X from mother will give a girl.
Lately, I have made an observation that it is actually girls that have been of great help to parents in a majority of households. A girl can equally accomplish great things in life. I don't have a girl child but I hope God will bless me with 3 or 4 girls

One thing I salute my father was the fact that he appreciated his five daughters so much and always strived to be the best. My brother was the sixth born. It is sad my dad never lived to see his son grow. I remember akipiga boma; a male child is supposed to carry the panga or axe. I don't know what it simbolizes, but my dad gave me the panga, and his friends said I would die; They always laughed at him, saying that he had not given birth yet, because he had not brought forth a boy child. Dad it may take some time, but I promise that your name will never be lost. Your name will forever be remembered.

She is like my eldest daughter who would do any legit job to earn something. She'll graduate next year April with her Honours Degree in Cyber Security, specialising in Digital Forensics, but she worked as a waitress, stepped into a pharmacy and asked for a job. She then started the next day as a pharmacy assistant. She is now in her third job as an IT intern that pays very little, but she's not saying no when it comes to work. I have faith and know that our Lord will open doors for her. Love and light to the both of you from Namibia ❤❤🇳🇦🇳🇦

Marrying a bread winner in his/her family can at times be a challenge. This reminds me of my ex husband, a luo.he could go do shopping and buy clothings for his nieces and nephews and buy absolutely nothing fir his own child, not even pampers, he was known to have a blessing hand by everyone including friends and relatives but he couldn't buy medicine for his own son.he even used to beat my son who was bare 1 year in the name disciplining him.he even called my little son useles and started even physical abuse on me and changing women as he wants....but all in all I thank God I walked,4yrs now striving for my lovely son.

She even blamed me for dropping out of school and not becoming a big person like she wanted. She told me I ruined her life. I have never been back home for 3 years and I told her when I left, you may reject me but “ I am a child of Yahweh, he will watch over me”. Yahweh has been faithful and am not looking back.

Around the world, so many cultures are still caught up in the dogma of having a first born son, and the rejection and abuse thrown at the daughter not only from the father, and his side of the family, but sometimes also the mother who would take out her anger on her daughter.
Your story is similar to stories in many parts of the world.
I cried listening to the first part of your story. Moreso, I cried and as a Kenyan born Indian, I was ashamed to hear that there are still Indians in Kenya who practise racist behaviours through name calling, etc. On behalf of these ignorant people who mistreated you, I apologise.
You are a very beautiful, and intelligent young lady. I wish you would compete for Miss Kenya. I truly mean that. I am sure you would not only win that but I see you winning Miss World or Miss Universe!
If you come to the USA and need a place to stay, I don't have much but I would love to have you over. Remember, if you wish, the USA does offer a Green card lottery and Kenyans qualify for it. It is open right now for application. Google if for more information.
May God continue to bless you!

Women, work hard and get your money. You need that money to exercise freedom. Freedom to leave an abusive marriage and live like other free human beings. Remember, if you stick to an abusive marriage when you have a chance to leave, you are putting your children through what they don't deserve and you will be judged for that. You must know that you are on the receiving end. You are worse off than men. This statement should ring in your head every time you are about to make a stupid decision.

How she's managed to come out from such a hard dark place to where she stands today, is by God's grace and resilience. This is the type of life coach, and counsellor needed for our youth. She an intelligent articulate brilliant and smart cookie. Who has come from such a dark place to where she is. This is the best interview I've ever listed to.

I couldn't agree with you more. This young lady's inspirational story definitely needs to be known either by way of a book or as you said, a movie. Her earthly father cruelly rejected her, but her heavenly Father loves her unconditionally and He has graciously bestowed His favour upon her so that she can continue to bless her mother and her brother. It seems like this particular verse was written for Lynett - Jeremiaih 29 v 11 "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

It's all right to speak out, I speak about mine all the time and even though it hurts, I feel at peace. I don't care what people say or think about me, thats not important anymore. I thank God, I am blessed worked really hard and I am comfortable in life.

@@missy981 you can't heal if you cannot speak loudly about it....the same parents perpetuated your problems so why not talk about it. Stuff friends and what other people think about you. The beauty of being mature is that one is not consumed of what other people think about you.
