It is sad that in this age of information some men still have issues with child gender. A child is a child and furthermore, it is a man who determines the sex of a child depending on whether his sperm is carrying an X or Y chromosome. Y from father and X from mother will give a boy. X from father and X from mother will give a girl. Lately, I have made an observation that it is actually girls that have been of great help to parents in a majority of households. A girl can equally accomplish great things in life. I don't have a girl child but I hope God will bless me with 3 or 4 girls
Ndegwa it's very true. I come from a family of 5 girls one boy. People teased my dad for having many girls. Later years my Dad is enjoying the fruits of having girls.

I'm stuck when she said'when we grow in such environment ,you become an over achiever , because people will love you when you only have good things happening ,they can not appreciate the fact that ,just you being alive is a blessing 😭😭😭💔💔💔'i felt her , because that's Versity exactly her life..I turned 21yrs yesterday , Working because of Gods faithfulness in my life,I dropped my course to work because of different circumstances,I may not be where I have always dreamt of but I'm glad I'm in a God place ,I give God all thy Glory..This story has encouraged me,that God is not yet done ,He still has bigger and Greater plans for my life.❤️🥺
Lynn you have outdone yourself today.I love your interviewing style where you allow your guests to tell their story without interruption. Thanks Lynette for allowing yourself to be vulnerable for the benefit of others.May God continue to bless you.You are destined for greatness!!.
I've never been so emotional when watching Lynn's programs. This gal is blessed. I resonate with these words too...but we move on, cos there's a God above.
Around the world, so many cultures are still caught up in the dogma of having a first born son, and the rejection and abuse thrown at the daughter not only from the father, and his side of the family, but sometimes also the mother who would take out her anger on her daughter. Your story is similar to stories in many parts of the world. I cried listening to the first part of your story. Moreso, I cried and as a Kenyan born Indian, I was ashamed to hear that there are still Indians in Kenya who practise racist behaviours through name calling, etc. On behalf of these ignorant people who mistreated you, I apologise. You are a very beautiful, and intelligent young lady. I wish you would compete for Miss Kenya. I truly mean that. I am sure you would not only win that but I see you winning Miss World or Miss Universe! If you come to the USA and need a place to stay, I don't have much but I would love to have you over. Remember, if you wish, the USA does offer a Green card lottery and Kenyans qualify for it. It is open right now for application. Google if for more information. May God continue to bless you!
True this lady has really gone through hell on earth. May the Almighty give you the strength you need to achieve His goals through her life experiences. Amen and Amen.
This makes me appreciate my Dad , may his soul rest in peace ,aki to anyone who is suffering in such God wipe away your tears , as lynette said God gives us right people at right time, so emotional story , God is sooo good!
I told someone about abuse by my mom as a firstborn they said I was attention seeking. The pain only Yahweh knows. She even blamed me for dropping out of school and not becoming a big person like she wanted. She told me I ruined her life. I have never been back home for 3 years and I told her when I left, you may reject me but “ I am a child of Yahweh, he will watch over me”. Yahweh has been faithful and am not looking back.
I'm shedding tears as I listen to this girl's testimony...waaaaaa!!!! There is a God in heaven....those who trusts in him will never be disappointed...Glory be to God..🙏
I remember this story from our emotional high school nights. I remember the change of the plans for closing. I remember the other lady. You have done great Achieng. You are going far. Bottom line is we are victors not victims God bless you Romana ( Njeri Namu) you are such a darling
Lynette you are such an inspiration to the girl child period. I love how much you acknowledge God. You were special from birth and the demons your dad battled with and unfortunately overcame him knew you were a shining light but it’s unfortunate how they deceived your dad successfully. We thank your mom , your intercessor otherwise we would not get a chance to hear such a glorious true life story. I believe you telling your story your life has just begun God is about to open even greater door, no eyes have seen, no ears have heard. God is again doing a new thing in your life. You too care of your mom and brother and says it’s your turn now, to heal and be whole♥️ P.S I would buy your book📕
You can't watch this story and not cry. One of the most inspiring stories I have heard in my entire life. I relate in so many ways and levels. Her star shines bright. God bless and continue to favour you.
It was tough sometimes we flashbacks..I remember the time my mom alimwagiwa chai moto...akaambiwa atakuja kupigwa mateke dad akirudi jioni..I really cried
My Dad could beat my mum Infront of us and when we talk he will beat us too as animal and when we grow up help our mum people start talking and say mum talked to you not to help your mum
I am so sorry for what you went through...hugs hugs.... To all who went through such traumas, hugs hugs..I love your mom.. Grew up in Seven Folks too,dad worked for KPLC/KENGEN and we stayed at Kamburu and Masinga and schooled at Seven Folks and Kiambere Complex. I know the distance between kambi ya Kiambere na shopping centre na yenyewe ni God aliwaprotect... More grace to you!
Marrying a bread winner in his/her family can at times be a challenge. This reminds me of my ex husband, a luo.he could go do shopping and buy clothings for his nieces and nephews and buy absolutely nothing fir his own child, not even pampers, he was known to have a blessing hand by everyone including friends and relatives but he couldn't buy medicine for his own son.he even used to beat my son who was bare 1 year in the name disciplining him.he even called my little son useles and started even physical abuse on me and changing women as he wants....but all in all I thank God I walked,4yrs now striving for my lovely son.
That was a good decision you have made to walk away. That is the only way we can bring those violence to an end. I think Luo tribe in Kenya are more like wambo tribe in Namibia.wambos respect where they come from more than their wives and kids.
I just want to go on a dry prayer and fasting for 2 days just to tell The Almighty God Thank you for always fighting, blessing and opening doors, unbelievable doors for single mamas, always being there for their children, however dark the tunnel might seem to be, the Father above will Always make sure thatthis woman and her children reaches the light, Glory to God, Linett may the Lord continue to open more doors and grant you enough strength to stand with your mum and brother. You have made me happy Girl!!!!
Ngai, this is so intensely raw and stirs every emotion known to man. Lynette, am sad for your traumatic past but happy for your victorious present and a glorious future that awaits you. Am sad for the tears that continue to flow from the wounds of your deep pain but happy for the booming laughter and joy coming from the depths of your soul. Am sad for the evil that destroyed your childhood and innocence but happy for all the angels that strengthened your wings. Continue soaring like an eagle!!! May God continue blessing the work of Lynn's hands...she's one of a kind.
Sorry Lynnette for what you went through girl 😥😥 may God heal you completely 🙏❤️❤️ I wish people could know the importance and position of a firstborn in the spiritual realm ,they will appreciate and thank GOD everyday 🙏 Jacob/ Israel fought for the firstborn position from when he was in the womb until he got it and today GOD calls him "Israel my firstborn" Lynn tuletee mtumishi wa MUNGU afundishe watu juu ya mzaliwa wa kwanza ni muhimu sana; otherwise you are gorgeous 🥰as always 🥰🥰🥰
OMG,from the start to the end l couldnt stop crying watching tis girl speak ..l am the first born and my father treat me good, the second was a boy then the following children were girls, thats where my father was like not so happy but my father never treated us bad ... then when we grew up and started working, then he knows till today even when some of us sisters are married but we never forget helping them till thier old age ...he hardly got help from he's sons ....my dad is in heaven now,we still have our mum to care for ...Praise the Lord for my Loving Parents .....GIRLS OR BOYS ..children are GIFTS from GOD...I am a mother and l love my children equally......
ABSOLUTELY NO child should have to go through ANY of that. I am Thankful To Almighty God for bringing her out on the other side, just as He,s Promised to do. He’s kept her throughout the very darkest period of her life, to where she is now on a much brighter level of her life……He’s NEVER left her…….Even now He’s still with her, As He Continues To Be with all of us. & I am also Thankful To Him (God) for putting all those wonderful people in her life, they’re truly angels of mercy. What a Wonderful & An Amazing God we have. My sister, my Prayer for you is that you’ll continue to live your best life In Jesus’ Name.🙏 All my very best to you & all yours. Thanks for sharing.🙏

This story has really touched me. Indeed there's a God up there who answers prayers. This girl has gone through so much. The mum too has suffered a lot
I remember seeing my mum going through this hell yet outside he was the perfect person...I swore that I would never marry a Luo man that's just that ...years later when we left and we are now okay I asked him why he was doing all this he told me that he was possessed...my question still remains should I still help him or will I be disrespecting my mom, this woman has seen hell ..I only imagine how I am surviving outside Kenya in an office all my work mates have master degrees yet I never finished even college... there is just blessings following us,and I thank God but the pain involved.. one day I shall visit Lynn when I am ready

I think my dad like he made the wrong decision,he became very cold on us,I remember at times we'd go to the shamba with my mom tunashikana tu tunalia. I'd say I'm grateful that he a gave me a roof over my head . To his brothers I forgave them for they didn't know what they were doing. I'm grateful to God that sai dad hawezi fanya anything kama hajaniconsult. How I wish that parents out there who are mistreating kids they can stop it coz there's no child who chooses where to be born. Mtoto is very innocent alijipata kwa hiyo nyumba!!!

This so sad. I am the first born and I can say that growing up wasn't easy. My dad getting married to the second wife made our lives very difficult. I could cry for school fees to be paid. I could go to school without pocket money. He used to work with Kengen and I thought that we will never lack, but that was not the case. My mum was my strength. She could encourage me to soldier on. All thanks to her. When I thought of giving up I could remember my mum's words and say no. I need to soldier on. Thank you for sharing ur story. U will go places

You're a strong woman Salome I didn't know you've been through so much dear. Lynette's take care of your mum dear. Nyamkamba as we call her (Salome)
Women, work hard and get your money. You need that money to exercise freedom. Freedom to leave an abusive marriage and live like other free human beings. Remember, if you stick to an abusive marriage when you have a chance to leave, you are putting your children through what they don't deserve and you will be judged for that. You must know that you are on the receiving end. You are worse off than men. This statement should ring in your head every time you are about to make a stupid decision.
@@mazaocc8065 Let me ask you a question, If you financially depend on your husband for every thing (food, shelter, cloths, healthcare, etc.), where do you go if he starts abusing you? Suppose you have kids and you have no parents, no education, no job, and relatives that you can run to, where do you go? Don't you think the situation would be better if you have a means of providing for yourself and your kids?

I just love how she's appreciating every one who helped her when she needed help the most ..she is such strong and brave girl Lynn God bless you
I'm stuck when she said'when we grow in such environment ,you become an over achiever , because people will love you when you only have good things happening ,they can not appreciate the fact that ,just you being alive is a blessing 😭😭😭💔💔💔'i felt her , because that's Versity exactly her life..I turned 21yrs yesterday , Working because of Gods faithfulness in my life,I dropped my course to work because of different circumstances,I may not be where I have always dreamt of but I'm glad I'm in a God place ,I give God all thy Glory..This story has encouraged me,that God is not yet done ,He still has bigger and Greater plans for my life.❤️🥺
Lynn you have outdone yourself today.I love your interviewing style where you allow your guests to tell their story without interruption.
Awwwww may you never lack
This woman is a warrior,,,am so blessed through her
Part 2 please 😪
True this lady has really gone through hell on earth. May the Almighty give you the strength you need to achieve His goals through her life experiences. Amen and Amen.
Linet's story is so inspirational. I love the fact that she sees God in everything. God is truly gracious and only He deserves the glory!
This is so sad 😭💔 there's no difference between a male or a female kid ,some beliefs are outdated n barbaric😞
Keep going girl. Yahweh is the best parent.
I'm sure your comment won't get much likes on this platform

Such a good testimony. A child of a prayerful parent will never be a beggar. The challenges you went through Lynnet were meant to strengthen you.
This lady is so beautiful 😍 may God give you all the courage you need dear lady
I'm shedding tears as I listen to this girl's testimony...waaaaaa!!!! There is a God in heaven....those who trusts in him will never be disappointed...Glory be to God..🙏

Thank you dear angel, for been there. We need more friends like you. Be blessed

You too care of your mom and brother and says it’s your turn now, to heal and be whole♥️
P.S I would buy your book📕

You can't watch this story and not cry. One of the most inspiring stories I have heard in my entire life. I relate in so many ways and levels. Her star shines bright. God bless and continue to favour you.
Most of us have gone through painful times in our childhood may GOD heal us 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Very true but you forget tho,
True. Thanks for this forum that she was able to share. God is with us.
Yes.may we heal what we don't talk about
It was tough sometimes we flashbacks..I remember the time my mom alimwagiwa chai moto...akaambiwa atakuja kupigwa mateke dad akirudi jioni..I really cried
I grew at sevenforks too,my dad worked at gitaru/ kamburu power station, nice meeting you guys here..tuko wengi.

We are totally different from our siblings ready to sacrifice for everything
That's true ..we go through a lot but we still turn out to be the best
I just want to go on a dry prayer and fasting for 2 days just to tell The Almighty God Thank you for always fighting, blessing and opening doors, unbelievable doors for single mamas, always being there for their children, however dark the tunnel might seem to be, the Father above will Always make sure thatthis woman and her children reaches the light, Glory to God, Linett may the Lord continue to open more doors and grant you enough strength to stand with your mum and brother. You have made me happy Girl!!!!
You are kind God bless
Ngai, this is so intensely raw and stirs every emotion known to man. Lynette, am sad for your traumatic past but happy for your victorious present and a glorious future that awaits you. Am sad for the tears that continue to flow from the wounds of your deep pain but happy for the booming laughter and joy coming from the depths of your soul. Am sad for the evil that destroyed your childhood and innocence but happy for all the angels that strengthened your wings. Continue soaring like an eagle!!! You are very inspirational and a living testimony of God's goodness, mercies and faithfulness. The best of your life is yet to come. You are definitely blessed and highly favored!
The best interview and testimony that God is real and works in a way we do not understand.

I'm so sorry for you Lynette, I can relate aki I was raised by a step dad and it wasn't easy I remember how his brothers tried to get rid of me at one time one of the brothers threw hot ash on my face.

So true 💯
