- I first owned an 05 gsxr back 10 years ago and the 2008 gsxr was my dream bike when it came out. I then owned an 04 and stuck with the gsxr line. Finally 2017, I got my hands on one of these and its time to bring out the dream.

Only dude I’ve ever seen use a cutoff wheel on a chain 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️ there is a master link on the chain you know .. and another easy way is to use a grinder and grind both studs down and pop the link off ... if you don’t want to invest in a linkage tool .. just a Helpful tip homie 🤙🏽 .. another then that grip it and rip it ! ✊🏽✊🏽

What is the smoke caused by? I just picked up an 08 gsxr and it is producing some smoke like that. It seems to be running decent it idles great but when i rip the throttle it has a lot of hesitation and like kinda chockes out
either bad piston rings or head gasket. just like a car.

Coz otherwise you have just screwed up the geometry of the gixxer. This wheelbase will make it great in the straight but horrible in turns... 🤔

this is what ive heard, yes. but honestly I can corner no problem. The bike has been handling great. unless you're going crazy stretched out, there shouldn't be any problems as a daily rider

I've a gixxer too but I've never tried a stretched bike. Could be fun at outright acceleration in a straight line. All I know that even minor changes in the setup causes huge differences in handling.
This is what I experienced on my Daytona track bike and on my VFR as well.
I recommend a video to look at by Mike on Bikes, he posted it about 2 months ago, titled: motorcycle geometry explained.
The dude has a funny accent but very good knowledge and high quality presentation in his videos.
Where can I get those sliders?
it came w/ the bike when I got it. but im pretty sure you can find it on ebay or something. look for no drill sliders. but watch my other video, the bike was dropped and the sliders didn't help due to the weak bracket. I advise to get the sliders that mount directly to the main bolts there. not an adapter that will clear the fairings.
get a new mic or a new editor. voice record is low. and music is super high.
yea I know. changed the mic and camera since then. but still using the crappy filmora.
