If the hair you’re using is human hair, it will get “puffy”/look fuller as it matures. I started my locs with fine hair too and almost 3yrs later I promise you’d think I had long and full hair to start! Your starter locs may not be your “ideal” look BUT give it time! They’re going to be so beautiful!
This video has been the deciding factor for me. I'm about to purchase my extensions and get locking. I'm looking forward to the low maintenance and healthy growth. Thank you for this. It looks great on you.
Your hair turned out wonderful, and that is what I am going to do, so thank you for the video. This will be my second loc journey, except this time, I will be using the feed-in crochet method. I started my hair the first time without extensions. I loved them, but I had to to cut them when I went to a Salon and they colored my hair with permanent chemical based dyes, and my hair broke terribly. I grew them out for 6 years, and they were between my shoulder blades length. I was heart-broken, but that was about 8 years ago. So, thank you! :) You did so well, ignoring your husband while he was acting silly. You two are adorable!!!
don't worry about the stiffness you just need spray bottle with a mix of natural good hair products over time your hair will bud then turn into locs and it will be no longer stiff
The new locs are beautiful Can you tell us how you remove the extension. Did you comb out the whole loc or just remove the extension hair. And do you have a video of you removing them
Me watching this about to redo mine for the 3rd time in less than two months. But it's locked at the roots. I did two reties. Don't judge😂 you're my inner voice. I think all of this
I use a knitting needle it acts like a long sisterlocks tool, u can get a sharp edge and it goes into the hair easier if you want to "crotchet" the hair to the ends to feed in the hair. If that makes sense. 😜.
I think I have an idea of this method, but do you have a video? or can you direct me to a video tutorial with this method. Looking forward to your reply.
I unfortunately don't have a video I can refer you to, but I can put a video up for you once get a bit of time. As soon as I put it up I will let you know. @@camillerussell9603
I also have microlocs. I personally think having your own hair is the way forward as you're putting a lot of stress on yourself and your hair to look a certain way. Having locs is a journey of discovery and embracing your own hair! Make the most of it being shorter, 2-3 years from now you'll look back and can reminisce.
Ditch the oil. It’s the enemy of the locking process. If you have to use oil use it only on the scalp and not too often. Be very careful not to get it on the actual lock. Also be sure to use a clarifying shampoo only. No product.

Good luck on your microlocs journey! You had so much patience with the feed-in method. That's a labor of love.

It’s a lot of work in the beginning because you’re trying to get your hair to marry with the extensions… but after a couple months it’s easy breezy
Try 2 scoops of MSM power in your water spray bottle for added moisture.
MSM powder fit moisture???? Really.....
@@dkadwoa4114 It helps me! Great product.
