Woooow you are having real food! That’s luxury for sure! Having fresh seafood from the ocean to your plate prepare from locals, that’s fantastic! Super funny that you asked for sopa and they gave you sopaipillas, hahaha, sopaipillas are incredible with Avocado and we eat them o pebre , give it a chance! I’m thinking how you can ask for sopa next time… maybe sopa de lentejas, zapallo, porotos, that would be like legumes stew 🌻✨ best luck!

Hey..the "fried bread" isn't bread..we call it SO-PAI-PILLAS and you can eat them with almost anyhing you want on top... 🥑 A mix of tomatoes, onion, lemon, and a green thing (can't remember the name in English 🤣) or... My favorite= sweet sirope with cinnamon and other stuffs, hot in the middle of winter 🤤🤤

Sopaipilla and tortafrita is fried bread its a local food in Argentina as well. You eat tortafritas in rainy days its sort of a custom

At the beginning you asked for sopa and she gave you sopaipilla (that sort of a fried bread). Maybe she thought you were abbreviating sopaipilla.
Why won’t you stay in Chile for some more days? You could travel south in direction to Coyhaique (carretera austral) and then cross to Argentina. The Chilean side in that section is far more beautiful than the Argentinian.

i think its because sopa and sopaipilla are both foods you eat on a cold/rainy day in Chile, sonif they’re out of soup they’ll surely just offer you some sopaipillas

@@GordoCantaPosta at the southernmost part I think they are equally beautiful, but the part he skipped (from cochamó to coyahique) is more beautiful because it’s a lot greener. I have nothing against Argentinian Patagonia, some parts are really amazing. Saludos trasandinos
