This formation actually came from a recent post from Bruce Eien, talking about his "Stupid Sweep" out of his "Stupid" formation. Pretty interesting stuff, you might like to check it out. Lots of cool football historical references sprinkled in his stuff, too (Single Wing mainly). And I like how you posted a Press Quarters video before you released the Press Quarters podcast. It was like a cool, 15-minute preview. Keep up the great stuff!
The center is an eligible receiver because he is at the end of the line. You can have 10 men on the line and the center can be on the end and is an eligible receiver. We ran that formation in 1945 in pop warner. The center was outstanding and lead the single back on every snap. Sweep right or left with pass option to the ends one of which is the center. Check it out as I still think that is a legal formation.
Are you saying the "center" is not eligible because of jersey number?? That's the only way he can't catch a pass .Because he is certainly eligible by formation , he is uncovered to the left . Your 5 eligible from left to right are "center" H/R/Z/X Team tried this last year and ran the Center deep
Thanks! If the center were wearing an eligible number, he'd be the "Y" and the "Y" in this video becomes your tackle. Everyone in the front moves over one man, nothing else changes. In youth the numbers aren't always a requirement, in which case he is eligible.
thanks for the videos , saludos from Mexicali Baja California Mexico

Thank you coach! I'll have to look for that Bruce Eien post (edit: added a link to the Stupid Sweep in the description)

See the comment below. Center is ineligible if he's wearing an ineligible number, by NFHS rules. I don't know pop warner rules.
