Rent is out of hand here. My second time living in Arizona. First time was 2011 to 2016 and was super affordable, we rented a 3500 sq ft house for $900 a month in Maricopa. We moved back last May and the rent is thru the roof now. We stay with family now but their rent house wen up a $1000 bucks in 3 months. Was $1300 and went to $2300 and this is in Mesa. I love it here but has gotten out of hand for renter/buyers. Arizona does have by far the worst drivers and I’ve lived all over this great land.
Lived in Phoenix for 3 years, just moved out. AZ is the definition of a state ruined by people. as a service technician that worked in every corner of the city. Traffic and drivers are a good enough reason to leave by itself. Also when first moved into my 1 bedroom apartment rent was 950, when I left it was 1175. If I wanted to sign another lease there right now my rent would be 1700. Not worth it.
I lived in Arizona for 4 years. The people are rude and arrogant. Try to say Hi to someone and they act like your going to rob them. I swear I have never seen worst drivers in my life at least 1 rollover a week. I moved back to Illinois so much nicer and great quality of people and so nice!! thank God!!
Yep. Getting ready to roll out. The worst drivers I have ever seen. I have never seen seven and six car accidents in NY, but almost every evening, U have piles of cars running in the back of vehicles. You have no friends. Neighbors don't even say hello. In New York, in the summer, we shut down the block with block party. Everyone nearby is invited to the barbecues. Sorry, Y'all can have it.
@@islandsun8235 im assuming you are talking about the city its good to visit not to live lol everybody stacked on top of each other, dirty, rude people and over priced to live in danger ! love the food though !! top 5 food
@ayoa3892 No, we are not rude. If U diss us, we tell U like it is. We don't take talk or disrespect from anyone. We are outspoken. Not everyone is living on top of each other. AZ is no better; my neighbor's house is on top of mine. There is no culture in AZ. In NY, at your job, we have grab bags for the workers at Christmas time, where we exchange gifts. In AZ, you are working at a place for five years, and people don't even say hello to each other. What a horrible place to be.
I lived in Orange County, California most of my life, and my parents lived in San Diego, and retired to Tucson, Green Valley, which is a beautiful area, but visiting on holidays was becoming difficult, and home prices were so low in Arizona I bought a home in San Tan Valley near Phoenix. I ended up living there for 14 years, when my parents had both passed away. I never did get used to the heat, and no longer needed a house, so I moved back to California, San Diego this time, and into a wonderful condo where I hope to live out the rest of my life. I was able to afford a condo with my inheritance, and actually find living back in California less expensive than Arizona since I rarely have to heat or cool my house, or worry about the maintenance of a yard and house.
It's incredibly expensive to rent in Arizona my rent year after year is raising faster then my income it's so so sad that we're victims of major investors destroying our way of life
As a homeowner, I raise the rent 3-4% because my taxes and HOA goes up that much each year. However, I still think we have the lowest rents in town. Three- 4 bd 1800 sq fit units next to ASU temple at $1500 per calendar month. The tenets show no signs of leaving. I have to tell them each year why the increase. I few bad because I know young people are on a fixed income. (Boss isn’t paying them more!). But they understand why.
I was born and raised in AZ for 12 years, then moved to the south. I will take 120* dry summers over a humid 90* summer ANY DAY! Moving back to AZ this year and can't wait!!!
I moved here almost 3 years ago from Los Angeles. I live in Northwest Tucson. Marana is one block over. I was native Californian and am happy here, just remember to give yourself time to acclimate. It took me 2 years to feel at home. I have my vegetable garden growing now and enjoy my Church. I live in great neighborhood. Feel very safe. I also love how close I am to 2 malls, 2 Walmarts and Costco. The culture / entertainment needs help. Downtown is growing and U of A has some good entertainment/ plays. Not thrilled with the direction of the politics but am involved. Arizona turns Blue I will move to South Dakota! I will never live in a Democrat governed state again. Until that time I am very happy and at peace with my decision to move here. My sister and brother-in-law will be looking for houses in my area, Marana, Oro Valley, Dove Mountain in the spring/summer of 2023. Good luck to you! 🌵🌸🌵
@@kentrelledwards2067 ps be careful of great looking houses in bad neighborhoods. I was interested in a couple houses and my realtor was kind enough to warn me that they wouldn’t live in the neighborhood I had chosen for a million dollars! Very grateful they were so honest with me.
Never had a single windshield crack idk how people make that common, stop driving on peoples butts. And the batteries break a lot so I got one from Costco with a 3-4 year warranty and I haven’t had to get a battery for 10 years because I always replace it at Costco for free.
@@DavidEVogel David I do appreciate what you're saying but I've gotta RV it around this country until I'm willing to lay it down, ya know what I'm saying, I don't mind paying the price as long as it fits ya know ❤️
Rent in Fresno is also going up as well. I'm not happy with my utilities either. It was so hot here last year also. We almost tied the all time high last July. The Record high is 115 in 1905, and last July it was 114.
Thank you, TH-cam for suggesting a channel that pertains to me. I came to AZ for a visit 12 years ago, and I'm still here. #1 Shocker to me really was how much AC costs in the summer.
Been living here almost 20 years now. I'm just tired of the heat. It didn't used to bother me like it does now. Between the heat and rude assed indifferent people, time for a change.
The 5 rules to living in Arizona,1.Find you a place to live,2.Find you a good job to support your needs and responsibilities,3.Get you a Mtb ride around commute to work of possible,4.Choose your friends wisely,5.Cook your own food,Don't waste money...🤣 That's how I did it...and it works. For me everyday 🤣
Thanks for the excellent advise I love living in Arizonia only being here 3 months love it move from Cali gas cheaper people nicer commute easy am saving money. 1. Apartment 2. Job 3. Meet a few good co workers 😊
Why do you mention to choose friends wisely? I understand that is good general advice but is there a type of people you frequently come across who you have to avoid?
I came to AZ 27 years ago. I love this state. Yes there are some things that are getting worse like traffic and the cost of living. However, the opportunities that this state have presented me in all these years have kept me here.
Born and raised in AZ. Left for a few years and just came back with a Californian invasion. Thinking about leaving again as this is no longer the Arizona that I had missed when I was away. Good video!
Moved to Peoria az oct 3 2009. Yes I have seen the change. I came from Chicago Still living here. Upgraded to a new home just in the Nick of time in may of 2020. Glad I did. I almost backed out.
Same….except, I really don’t like it here anymore. It’s totally not the same place I grew up in. Even all, except for one, of the restaurants that me and my late husband used to go to, are either out of business or burnt down. Weird. It’s like we/they never existed. And people are definitely a lot meaner. Everything I used to love about Arizona is gone now. Everyone that mattered to me has moved away or died….there’s really nothing left here for me anymore. We almost moved to Oklahoma back in the early ‘80’s….the people were so friendly there! And the greenery! One of my sons just recently moved to Oklahoma from Colorado, and he is totally loving the friendliness of Oklahomans! I may make it there yet….I hope.
I lived in Phoenix from 2003-2015 and didn't like it, too hot and too many people, moved to Prescott in 2015 and loved it, bought a house in 2018 and plan on living here forever. Phoenix Metro and Tucson are the two worst places to live, Northern Arizona is the only Arizona for me, trees, lakes, 4 seasons, snow. LOVE IT!
Northern Arizona is being ruined just like the rest of state, mostly by the recent influx of Commifornians. If I had my way I would stop them at the border.
Always the NATIVES who complain the most. He mentioned Tucson & Prescott as the top places people want to move from. BINGO Nobody moves to Tucson or Prescott; they move to the Valley. So right there tells me they are NATIVES of Tucson and Prescott.
Great video but climate for me is the biggest concern in the desert. 40 year Arizona resident. We use to experience very 2 distinct wet seasons - July & August and January thru March. This no longer happens. And the average temperatures have risen dramatically. Summers will eventually become inhabitable. The Valley of the Sun was at one point a very special place.
We don't get the Monsoons all summer like we used to and the black asphalt roads everywhere are killing this place. Phoenix use to be a lush green valley full of agriculture, but they mowed it under and built buildings and turned it into a concrete jungle. Phoenix can't cool down at night, like it used to, so it is just getting hotter and hotter...
Moved from Prescott to Phoenix in 2013. Most of the people I know left Prescott a few years after I did. Prescott has lots of natural beauty, and it’s hard to beat if you’re looking for a good place to find a slow-paced life. However, it’s pretty expensive, doesn’t have a lot of good jobs, and was one of the worst places to be single in the US when I lived there. I was grateful for what the town gave me, but it was time to move on.
Don't get me started on Pres-cock, Az where every body is a dick.!!.. That should say it all. This place is a culture shock, racist, rude, self entitled white people that don't care for other people. They find any reason to screw you in the ass to get more and money out of you with their fees. That's what I've noticed in the five years that I've been here. So very sad!!🌻
@@hwy6163 It was, but that might be slowly changing. Prescott was never cheap, but it's only gotten more expensive as time goes on. It's hard to see why someone on a fixed income would choose Prescott over Phoenix for any reason except the weather (actual seasons, not as hot).
I’ve been in AZ since 2007 and am considering leaving due to over population with not enough infrastructure to handle the amount of cars on the road . Other than that I love the culture , food and outdoors . Thanks for a good video
I moved here from Wisconsin in 2005, I adapted to the heat quite well... but it is getting hotter here, and the winter was lame this year, its been too warm for winter ....which is not a good sign for the coming summer....
I have another 4 winters to tough out here in Wisconsin, then it's either the interior region of Central Florida (north or south of Orlando; as far north as Inverness or as far south as Sebring), or southern Georgia or southern Alabama (away from the coastal areas). Since I live in a small city area (with a population of less than 10k and in a county of less than 50k), I cannot afford to live on the coasts or in the large metro areas as it's too unaffordable. I'd rather have 95 degrees and 95% humidity over -30 (regardless of the wind chill).
Arizona is expensive and the jobs pay low. I left Minnesota in 2020 and moved to Arizona. In MN I was making $20/hr doing Cna work. When I got to Arizona my first Cna job was $15/hr with seven years experience smh. My one bedroom apartment was $1087 plus all utilities so I was paying $1175 all together. I barely made it. I left Arizona the summer of 2021.
AZ overrated. It was nice like 10-15 years ago. I think a lot of ppl in AZ have bad attitudes because they thought it was going to be like living in paradise and now they are stuck in a hot dust bowl and can't afford to leave lol.
Definitely too expensive now. I was born and raised there, both my family and my wife’s family live there. After being in the military and moving all over, when I finally retired and wanted to move back home, I said hell naw. I REFUSE to pay those prices for those houses. Plus it’s too crowded now and people are rude as f.
People are rude here. I’ve been here just over 3 years and preparing to leave this year. It has its beauty , but it’s going to be a state as expensive as California . We can’t blame Californians 100 percent for this since Arizonians are cashing in and flying out . Greed gets the best of us I guess .
@@DavidEVogel this is true but compared to other states, AZ has a faster and greater rise in price inflation. In one year, a house I was interested in increased in “value” $100k. It is substantially overpriced, for what you get.
@@carolynhicks1278 Hi Carolyn, we were deciding between Texas and Oklahoma. Both states have a lower cost of living, centrally located in the US, and excellent veterans benefits. We picked Oklahoma and just bought a house two months ago. Although I do miss the natural beauty of the desert, I LOVE the wide open spaces and greenery here. It also reminds me of how AZ used to be with courteous and friendly people, and a real country cowboy culture. That seems to have faded in AZ.
I was born and raised here, Glendale area, 59 years young😆 Never thought I'd want to leave my beautiful state. Because of rising cost, population growth, horrible traffic, crime...I'm ready! @@AZTrucker what part of AZ are those prices? Phoenix prices are the same as what you listed for the CA prices. Some areas of phoenix are more than that.
My family has been in AZ since it was Mexico essentially. Its disappointing that people are moving here from other states and driving up the cost of living, I remember when you could get a beautiful 4 bedroom house for about 230 K. Now you are lucky to get the same house for about 550 K and when you make an offer you get outbid by someone from the east coast or California who are paying thousands of dollars over appraisal. I think this is another reason why a lot of families are deciding to move.
Yes it's time to move to Arkansaw or Mississippi . I live in Virginia . Northern Virginia where all the Woke liberals live. . Jobs jobs Jobs $700 000 for a row house with a garage to store all your hobbies in
I've been here three years now and I'm not going anywhere. I am so blessed to work for myself so traffic is not a challenge for me at all not to mention, I stay off the highways here due to an accident on the 101. Love it here for sure. There are some things that could use major adjusting and changing. I came for the weather so I'm happy, grateful & blessed it can not be totally controlled by anyone. Thank you for that!
Im moving to California soon, but honestly Arizona got ruined for me, after covid hit it wasnt the same for me, and on top of that I got stuck in a routine that just made it boring, I’d go to work, go home, watch television, then call it a day, just for the next day to be the same, and i’ve lived here most my life, have seen almost everything I just feel like I don’t enjoy it anymore and that’s why I’m out.
I'm born and raised in AZ and my #1 complaint would be about the drivers. For some reason, everyone in this state thinks it's OK to drive in the passing lane while going 5 mph under the limit. Add in the elderly snowbirds in the winter months and it can be maddening just to get from point A to point B. There needs to be some kind of required refresher course for these elderly drivers.
The drivers are RIDICULOUS in AZ!! 😩 I’ve never experienced worse drivers in my entire life!! It’s like no one on the road has a concept of things like switching lanes, merging, driving at a constant speed, etc
you ought to be grateful that those slow drivers exiat; most people aeem to think that speeding is not only ok but mandatory in the passing lane. It is NEVER mansatory to break the law.. 40mph meana 40 miles traveled in one hour is the fastEST that anyone is allowed to trvel in that zone, not 65!
I thought it was the illegals driving crazy the most. I remember we had the #1 highest pedestrian deaths in the country a couple yrs ago, it was dangerous just to walk down the sidewalk. But at least you're not stuck behind these super slow driving Seattle drivers, Smh.
The reason Arizona people seem rude is because we’re constantly dealing with out of staters who are distant and on edge from the extreme heat and bad traffic. If you say hello to most people they will look the other way in a awkward nervous way. It’s just the way it is because no one is from here they’re skiddish. Arizonans have dealt with transplant over heating road rage and snowbirds messing with everything for years. If you move here support the people who’ve been here and be nice when it’s hot out too. Arizona is in my heart and will always be in me. The masses the destruction of our land and exploitation of our people is something that pisses me off and also people coming here concerned about trivial things that will only fall apart. Focus on taking care of the land and nature if you come to AZ. We have some magical spots that need to be protected.
Yeah I do notuce that a lot. Im originally from Phoenix and loved it when I was a kid growing up but then I moved and came back in 2014 and ever since then over the years it seems the people gradually increase not only with population but rudeness, crime rate, and road rage/bad traffic etc. Everyone here is stuck up and very mean.
I was born and raised in PHX and the cost of living has made it to where my kids probably will not be born and raised here as well. Everyone moving here from other states over the last 10 years is what destroyed this beautiful state.
just live somewhere rural if you don't like cities. generally speaking, cities will always increase in value and will always increase in population (especially, in warmer climates), along with that increase is increase in cost. the reason is because incomes grow faster in cities. as cities become more populated and more costly, people will buy property in the suburbs in the surrounding neighborhoods of the city. this is just the general trend in the US. living in rural areas definitely have downsides such as accessibility to many things such as top of the line healthcare and education, and diverse cuisines, and general activities. but then again not everyone requires everything that cities have to offer.
@@hsiang4236 Nowhere in my comment did I mention not liking cities. Phoenix has been the fastest growing city in America over the last 10 years for numerous reasons: warm climates, low property tax, changing political views, and overall area for expansion. I currently live in flagstaff which is considered to be a rural area and the cost of homes here has gone up 30% over the last 24 months do to scarcity of available land. Also the idea you can just up and move to a new city comes with the presumption that you will be able to make the same type of income living in a rural area as opposed to a big city, which is generally not the case.
@@ConnorGomez2 I mean did you not expect home prices to rise when you purchased in Flagstaff? LMAO I bought a home in SoCal October 2020, now home prices have gone up 30% here where I am too...some other places in California and in other states have increased more than 30% too. More economic activity = growth...remote work and low housing supply means prices will rise almost everywhere you look. I don't predict a housing crash at any point in the next few years. I can't even see a correction in the next year or two. The only way you'll see a dip in housing prices is if recession leads to mass unemployment. Remember those that were unemployed during covid were mostly hospitality services industry...unemployed homeowners are in good positions to keep paying mortgage and if not forbearance essentially let's people restructure payments
@@hsiang4236 nobody expected homes to rise 30% lol & I only moved here for work so unless I quit my job I didnt really have a choice on what housing market I wanted to be in. Nailed it. I'm leaving in 2 months after 12 years in Phoenix. Used to be cheap and chill..now it is over crowded, overpriced, hot and getting hotter, and the sprawl is ruining outskirts. The traffic is out of control. I had a good run but its time to go..
As a Phoenixian born 'n' raised here as a mixed black 27 year old boy, I LOVE my state to death! 🌞🌴🌵💚 So many people need to understand that traffic is such a HUGE issue here as I was walking to Walmart tonight and golly, I never knew it would be so bad around 9:15pm. but sorta am not surprised as it was on a Friday night. Health care & education is a little "meh" here as the school I went to during my Junior & Senior Year in high school was a D+ Average named Alhambra as my older brother graduated from there and the education at the school was a nightmare. I'm shocked I was able to graduate from that school even though I somewhat miss going there. Other than that, the weather here is TOTALLY ACCURATE as our highest temp on record for our capital is 122°F and it does get brutal even though I adore the heat! 🔥 Oh yes, my older brother is Half-Mexican himself and feel I'm part of the Latino culture even though I faced racial discrimination in the past but do my best to not let it affect me as I'm also a Spanish speaker myself and I also have Navajo descent as well. *SUCH AN AWESOME LIST ABOUT OUR STATE YOU SET UP BIG SUPER!* 😀👍
I detect NO CAP in the top 5. As someone who has came, dipped and double backed, the number one reason IS the WEATHER! During the summer, if you ain’t built for heat, this ain’t what you want. I still think AZ is better than Seattle, Oregon, CALI and Vegas… point blank period
Agreed. I have been in AZ since 1995, and it seems to get hotter every year. I stay inside all summer long, it’s unbearable unless you have a swimming pool. And yes everything in AZ get more expensive too, especially since the sitting President came into office, Tammy grocery bill is explosive, and it doesn’t seem inflation will decrease anytime soon. 😓😮💨😦

Lived in Arizona my whole life and I definitely plan on moving out when I'm older, here are my reasons 1. A lot of traffic 2. Annoying snowbirds 3. Prices becoming high 4. Has some of the worst schools in America 5. Way TOO damn hot (this should of been obvious) 6. Crappy water 7. Underwhelming capital city 8. High crime rates
Don't move here because: Summertime sucks here. There's wannabe wintertime. Growing homelessness also from drugs. It's been 80 degrees already in Feb. Lots of rude and disrespectful people. Wages suck. Apartments are greedy and disrespectful. Way , way, way less rain. Way less cloudy days. ...etc....etc.....etc... What would you add to the list?
Being originally born in Korea, raised in Hawaii most of my life, spent ten years in Cali Los Angeles, and one year in Colorado, I landed here in Arizona. And it was the best thing that ever happened to me. Yes the summers are brutal, but if you're a nature lover you can find yourself in any of the waters to cool down and relax during the hot season. I couldn't agree more that Arizona is good for nature lovers. Arizona offers the world unique places that are truly magical that cannot be found elsewhere that are absolutely breathtaking and spectacular. I am grateful to be here, and there's definitely a lot of positives to stay. One thing to note, coming from Hawaii, I find that people there are seemingly "happier" in their dealings with others when it comes to giving customer service. I feel like customer service here is hit-or-miss and not given with the same aloha that I'm used to experiencing & giving being a local from Hawaii. Been here since 2012.
Wow big super you really broke it down, I have been here in AZ for 25 years and you touched bases intricately talking about making it plain this is the single best one that I have ever heard, you got it going on.
I’m a native and I bought my house in 2018 for 137k because apartment rent was going up I figured I may as well get a house. It was the best decision I ever made back then seeing how things are now. 👍🏼
Yeah I was thinking the same thing. I moved out here in 2016 for a job I had in NYC and interviewed for a position out here in Phoenix. After a year they screwed me over and basically doing my own thing. I would say one thing are the summers. I really don't like them at all. If I ever found myself back in NYC I would move upstate, but then I think of the winters. Right now all thoughts are all jumbled about my next move if it happens.
I have been thinking about moving into Niagara County and living north of Buffalo in Sanborn , Lewiston , Newfane/Wilson area. The property taxes in Niagara are a bit higher , but at the rate Metro Phoenix is growing and getting hotter with increasing traffic and looking more like LA every year , I will soon say the hell with taxes and make the jump. Snow >> Hell bring it on. I will get a real nice Polaris or Arctic Cat snowmobile and have a blast in the NY White stuff :)
Been in AZ for 15yrs. This state has gotten out of control with how expensive it has gotten. Throw on top how many have moved here the population has exploded which our freeways can't handle it and thus turning into CA traffic. Now the housing/rent situation has blown waaay out of hand. Houses I've seen when they was first built 5-7yrs ago are now triple the price and thus prices a ton of people out of the market of owning a house that was once obtainable now isn't in a very short time frame. Rent due to the housing situation has doubled as well. In all though, I'm not leaving. Arizona is home and from past experience the market will correct itself hear in the near future.
Did the housing market correct itself in California, New York or Austin Texas to name a few? It’s not going to correct itself sorry to say. It’s going to continue to go up and then possibly stabilize, but it’s not going to go down anytime soon . Unfortunately , you will be waiting a very long time .
Yeah, this was the reason he was too polite to mention. A lot of Arizonans strongly dislike Californians. For good reason. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over again and expecting a different result. Californians are flocking here because California became too expensive, but then they come here and do the exact same things that made California too expensive. The problem with that is that there aren't beaches here within a reasonable drive to justify prices as if there were. The rich will eventually get fed up with the heat and leave. The trade off in AZ is supposed to be living cheep in exchange for dealing with the heat.
Excellent, thanks. Love your statement: "Wherever you're from - this ain't that!" Good line. Am not looking forward to the heat, I'll be honest (but being retired I can go camping then in the Pacific Northwest, lol), but I'm definitely planning to move there. Tucson has a lot that interests me, and there's plenty for my son as well: we're going to share a place. Good video.
I love what I love about it just like I like type of girls I like and the type of clothes I wear in the type of car I drive, ain't no need to explain why I love it

I first rented a two bedroom apartment in Tempe for $ 450.00 a month, moved out of Tempe to Phoenix and rented a 3 bedroom house with two full bathrooms huge backyard block wall fence. For $ 950.00 a month. Arizona was good to me I admit had some great times there, I still have family there my last visit there was in 2019.
It's hot in AZ... it's even hotter working in the heat.. I'm talking about that 68hrs a week in the sun. You gotta stay hydrated always. It's so easy to get heat exhaustion out here. Remember it's a desert so be careful everyone.
Moved to Tucson to retire here with husband. We love it. At 70 years old we love the weather. Extreme weather isn’t any different than central Illinois, except we don’t have to shovel snow.
Great video. I want to leave due to the unbearable traffic! Especially when the snowbirds are here. Terrible city planning in Tucson. But I do love this great state.
My only issue is rent, but honestly the way they raised rent and how much they are building, it’s gonna bite real estate in the ass ….again, they didn’t learn their lesson from 2008
Yeah definitely not. There are many huge industries coming here and ASU is expanding. Huge economic drivers and the influx of people need housing. Despite the increase in development it is not enough to keep up with the demand for housing, so cost rises. It isn’t coming down in AZ. Compared to the economic boom in CA, AZ could have a long way to go.
We had 85 degrees just 2 days ago here in Phoenix already. To damn early. Same apartment complex went from $700's to $1600's in less than 5 years. Most in the last 2
Loved the positivity of the clip. I came 6+ years ago and yes.. those summer months are hard.. but the winter months in midwest were hard too. I don't mind Mexican food.. but it gets old when there are 4-5 taco or some sort of Mexican fast food on every intersection. But they just join the many Hamburger Ffood drive thru places. Fine dining is lacking.. unless you live in Scottsdale and can afford it.. most of us don't live there and can't afford it.
I’ve lived in AZ off and on for over 20 years. It’s 6 months of beautiful weather followed by 6 months of living on the surface of the sun. The average temperatures quoted in the video are NOT accurate. It’s 100 + starting in June and often doesn’t stop until December. A population explosion is occurring here and the infrastructure can’t keep up. The Traffic is horrible, noise is constant and the price of EVERYTHING is going, up, up, up. Mesa, Gilbert, San Tan, Queen Creek a continuous sub division of houses built on top of each other, fast food restaurants, shopping centers, rinse and repeat… the good times here were long ago. The city planners care about, more, more, more people, stack them like sardines… Drivers speed excessively everywhere and you are often competing with 18 wheelers, everywhere you go. If you love to walk your dogs in a nice park, bring a taser, baseball bat etc. because aggressive dogs off leash are the norm. ( In a one year period, my dog was attacked by 12 dogs during 10 confrontations and I personally suffered a broken arm and a lengthy lawsuit ) There is a vast religious cult here ( count the white cars ) and they bring ignorance, isolation and confusion. AZ is like so many places in the U.S., it USED to be a wonderful place to live. Cooler temperatures and less humans are available north of Phoenix but you will have to do your research…
After 14 yrs i left Tucson and moved to Florida to be with family. No regrets. As of Feb 13, 2022 its been 14 yrs in Florida, but have to admit I still had more fun in Tucson since I went to H.S. there, Palo Verde H.S..
Big Super I totally agree. Growing up in Arizona had its good times as well the bad times which included some really hot days. I miss the Mexican food as well as the BBQ in some of the older neighborhoods. But its that damn heat, can't stand it. The cultural differences did not get to me, in fact it created a better variety of cuisines to eat. But to me the scariest part is the water situation, I just wouldn't want to be in desert when the water taps shut off due to climate and all the people moving in.
Hi Big Super we moved in the middle of the pandemic 2020 and you are correct with the reason why people are moving out. we only last 13 months there because it was stating getting more expensive, miss our family/friends; I am fan of yours keep up the good videos
Also one thing people don't consider is the heat will create extra wear and tear on your car. My battery was not that old, but I was in Phoenix for only a half year, had to buy a new one. The heat zapped it dead.
That AZ sun is brutal. I love Az when l visit. But it's way different than where l live in CA. Even in winter that sun is strong if you are exposed. Then you move to the shade and need a jacket. Is Californians are envious of the cheap gas, but don't realise that things are so spread out there that even tho the gas is chraper, you use more of it, plus more wear and tear.
Super love you and the family. Been here 2 years in March and my biggest shock was actually watching prices rise faster than my pay. I do like it here though, not leaving anytime soon. Would like to explore more, nothing like moving to a new state at the start of lockdown, lol. I will go watch your mtn vids again, tell the wife and kids hello from CG.
I don't hate the state actually, I hate phoenix. Reasons: -People are annoying and rude and talk crap about one secretly on there heads -Overreacting -Insult for little or sometimes for no reason -Staring especially negativity -Boring weather -People ignoring even if you call them with a perfect voice tone -The city has become pretty boring and sometimes isolating -but when people start appearing I can tell that there staring negatively -Its true of what some other people say the weather, there is mostly no rain, only a few cloudy days, and yes it is 80 degrees already in February, like man the weather could be pretty unrealistic and boring
Born and raised in Arizona, I enjoy AZ. Even tho I have not lived anywhere else I for one enjoy the summer and most of the people I grew up with hate the summer. I did realize people coming from other states and buying up homes/condos and jacking up living expenses but that’s anywhere I think. Freeways are expanding and will be better in the future so it’s not so crowded on the roads but overall it’s a solid state to live in. If your coming welcome to AZ if you’re going Peace be with you. God bless
I've been in az since I was born in 2001 and everything has become so congested in the hotter parts of the state. Rent is way overpriced, and people are just plain rude consistently. The traffic is terrifying with drivers swerving all over the place angry from the heat. Any entertainment places are packed and way too loud to enjoy. I moved to prescott, however, and although it's a very extremely boring place to live, it's less crowded. Still overpriced rent, and rude old people. But at least it has beautiful trails to escape everyone.

Thank all the Californians who flee there state
Arizona is the Palmdale CA of the US. First it was pleasant, inexpensive, and hot. Now it's pricy, crowded, and hot.
I agree!
What state did you move to?
Real estate and rent are up everywhere. How much are you paying for rent now? Surprisingly Tucson is on the list of 10 cheapest cities for rent.
Wow! That’s nuts
1,700? I believe it. Ridiculous. Good Luck to you
I lived in Arizona for 4 years. The people are rude and arrogant. Try to say Hi to someone and they act like your going to rob them. I swear I have never seen worst drivers in my life at least 1 rollover a week. I moved back to Illinois so much nicer and great quality of people and so nice!! thank God!!
Illinois is the most corrupt state in the entire country. LOL
I know you've lived in Az because this is exactly what I've experienced along with RACISM

Sounds like a plan . Thumbs up

If you move here support the people who’ve been here and be nice when it’s hot out too. just live somewhere rural if you don't like cities. generally speaking, cities will always increase in value and will always increase in population (especially, in warmer climates), along with that increase is increase in cost. the reason is because incomes grow faster in cities. as cities become more populated and more costly, people will buy property in the suburbs in the surrounding neighborhoods of the city. this is just the general trend in the US.
living in rural areas definitely have downsides such as accessibility to many things such as top of the line healthcare and education, and diverse cuisines, and general activities. but then again not everyone requires everything that cities have to offer.
Where are you moving to?
Yeah where to next?
As a Phoenixian born 'n' raised here as a mixed black 27 year old boy, I LOVE my state to death! 🌞🌴🌵💚
So many people need to understand that traffic is such a HUGE issue here as I was walking to Walmart tonight and golly, I never knew it would be so bad around 9:15pm. but sorta am not surprised as it was on a Friday night.
Oh yes, my older brother is Half-Mexican himself and feel I'm part of the Latino culture even though I faced racial discrimination in the past but do my best to not let it affect me as I'm also a Spanish speaker myself and I also have Navajo descent as well.
*SUCH AN AWESOME LIST ABOUT OUR STATE YOU SET UP BIG SUPER!* 😀👍
I can sleep better tonight now that You brought up race in your comment .
Did you say Golly? 😂
Thanks are there any nice lounges or spots that play R&B music ?
@@DAEEEEEETAYYYYY It all depends on your scene… Loyalty Lounge In Scottsdale is LIT LIT… Casa Amigos and Aura are also good spots.

I've been in Arizona for almost 9 years! It's not the same Arizona that I once knew and loved. The greed has destroyed the state. I'm out come August!
Agree. Where did you move to?
🙌 Glad I left and I'm never looking back. You will be glad you did!
It was democrats and liberals moving here changing the state.
Lived in Arizona my whole life and I definitely plan on moving out when I'm older, here are my reasons
1. A lot of traffic
2. Annoying snowbirds
3. Prices becoming high
4. Has some of the worst schools in America
5. Way TOO damn hot (this should of been obvious)
6. Crappy water
7. Underwhelming capital city
8. High crime rates
All the reasons I did not stay, though I am glad for the experience…
Agree 100%
Lol im sure you haven't been to Cali.
@southify
Nail on the head
In 9 years I'm out and yes you hit all my reasons why. People from California are destroying this place and the drugs/crime are out of control.
Don't move here because:
Summertime sucks here.
What would you add to the list?
you said it all !
The schools here are terrible and so is the water
Add disrespectful people too oh it's already on the list
Completely uncontrolled, haphazard and ugly urban sprawl.
The depressing fact that the sun is blazing every day..and there's no rain..or wind..

I’m a native and I bought my house in 2018 for 137k because apartment rent was going up I figured I may as well get a house. It was the best decision I ever made back then seeing how things are now. 👍🏼
I moved here from PA.in 1998 and love it! When you all move don't let the cactus hit you in the behind!
NY state is screwed. Hochul doesn't know what she is doing. Plus we have illegals flooding the state now.
@@paulvonauch9419 agreed. Prices will not decrease. They will stabilize as you said, and a new price norm is being established. Voilà, CA 2.0

@@danielrubio6675 don't know about that guys. Atleast in cali you have savings. Here, check to check.
So glad I moved out of the "HOT POCKET" that is the valley and surrounding areas! Moved SE and I an very pleased. Been in AZ now since 1980!
I moved to Phoenix from Michigan in 97 stayed in Phoenix till 06. Rent was very reasonable in Phoenix when I first moved there.
Great information and advice. 👍
Looking good big Sup. keep up the good work, and give the fam some big hugs. Oh yeah, how's the pad coming along?
My only issue is rent, but honestly the way they raised rent and how much they are building, it’s gonna bite real estate in the ass ….again, they didn’t learn their lesson from 2008
Not really this is far different from 2008
Yeah definitely not.

Luv the background setup in the video!🤗Take care!
