    Years ago, moving to Arizona was ideal as long as you had functioning central AC. But now it's overcrowded because everyone started doing it, and as a result home prices skyrocketed.

      I live in California. Groceries are 30% more expensive. Child care is 70% more expensive. Taxes are doubled. I live in a 800 square foot home with my fiance and 3 year old, I pay 2175 to live in shitty house in the hood. If I move to Arizona I can get a house double the size for 1400 a month. I can afford gas because right now I pay 5 dollars a gallon compared to Arizona where it’s below 3. I will be able to actually save money for the first time in my life and live comfortably at the same time. To survive in Cali you need a household income of about 80,000 in AZ it’s only 44,000. Do you want to buy a little shitty 1,000 sq ft house in California for 600,000 or do you wanna buy a big beautiful home in a nice area for 300,000. You can comment whatever you want but remember some people would kill to live there. I’ll will be out there in the next year.

In the Summer you cannot go anywhere until the sun goes down. Grocery store and baseball must wait untill the evening. Many people actually leave in the Summer and stay with relatives back East. We keep our charcoal in a fridge so it doesnt spontaneously combust. You cant spend more than 15 minutes parked in a store parking lot because your tires will melt and glue themselves to the pavement. You jump into a pool and get out, you'll be dry within 10 minutes. If you're not careful you'll tatoo yourself with your car seat belt latch. Everything turns gray because the sun sucks the color out of everything. Make sure your yard tools are in a shed so they will only be hot to the touch. Leave them in the sun and you'll have another tatoo. You leave a shirt out in the sun it will be permanently sun damaged. DON'T MOVE HERE!

Great for my home value but if you are single and even if you have a home already in AZ you really need to make a good $120/annually or more to make it. Had my home painted just before the pandemic for $2k, now it’s $6k. Had my garage epoxied for $800, now $3k. Paint went up 33% since then which does not equate to the prices. But everything has skyrocketed here.

    From Michigan, moved to Phoenix last December. I love it. The summer is HOT, so I thought going out at night would be the move. Absolutely not, its still HOT, how is that possible??? Definitely was not prepared for 100 degrees nights. But I must say sitting in the house with the sun shinning is WAY better than sitting in the house due to snow, ice, rain, sleet, etc. Also seeing the sun everyday is a plus. I don't have to plan around the weather, I know it's going to be nice, sunny and HOT lol. Also traffic is not as bad as I was led to believe. Summer driving is better than winter, but it's still nowhere near as bad as Michigan. Cost of living is high! Was not prepared for that at all. Gas, groceries, eating out , houses, all super EXPENSIVE. I'm living in West Phoenix area in Laveen where housing cost is slightly better, but OMG it's pricey. Nice video and insights!!!

      I'd take the beauty of Michigan's forests and lakes and 4 seasons all day over living in brown, land locked Phoenix. But Arizona is a nice place to visit for a couple weeks during winter!

    • @LilYotti4799
      @LilYotti4799 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @travissmith9488 You definitely aren't from MI 🤣🤣🤣. It's mostly brown, with a few months of lush green forests, I know after living there for more than 3 decades. Eventually, I'd love to buy real estate in MI to enjoy the 3 - 4 good months. I'm enjoying the 7 months of nice weather here in Phoenix, so thats on the back burner until the summers here are insufferable. I did go back to MI this summer, and while I thought I wouldn't wanna leave, I couldn't wait to hop back on the plane to AZ. To each its own😊😊

      @@LilYotti4799 Michigan has some of the best weather from May to Mid October. I keep my pool open for 130 days. And then a brilliant fall and cozy snowy holidays. The only months I don’t like are Jan-March. Last winter we didn’t have a single temp below zero, so even the winters are getting warmer too. And the Great Lakes and turquoise rivers and forests 😍

    NO. . .Cost of living is crazy high in Arizona compared to many other states. . .I happen to be in Wichita, Kansas and would like to move to Arizona. I'm renting a loft apartment here. A similar size apartment in a decent area of Phoenix is listed at TWICE the rent I'm paying here. I don't know Arizona. . .Kansas may be boring to some people, but it's way more affordable. And anytime I want some excitement I can always just take a trip to Vegas or even out to Phoenix, where I have friends. But "living" there? Looks like I won't be able to afford it. Very disappointing, but Arizona isn't worth TWICE the expense. I'll just settle for visiting occasionally. The prices out there are ridiculous.

Now the power's at be messed the whole place up and drove up prices. You don't hear them complain about the heat in Egypt or the Sahara, lots of retirement communities out there Right..

    I live in Arizona quite a few years ago for one year. Nobody could have prepared me for the type of heat that you have in Phoenix the temperature starts getting above 100° everyday about the middle of April and stays that way until about the middle of October. As someone who likes sunny or climates I used to get up at 6 a.m. open my bedroom curtains and see this big ball of fire aka the Sun and not a cloud in the sky. By 8 a.m. it was already getting suffocatingly hot. They used to tell me before I move there that it wasn't that bad because it was a dry heat. Well guess what that dry heat is like living in an oven. Most people in the summertime don't do anyting stay in the house and I literally became a full-blown alcoholic living in that miserable City. I couldn't wait to get the hell out and I've never been back that goodness to me it was like hell on Earth for 5 months of the year. The smart people they just moved from the northern part of the United States down to Phoenix for a few months in the winter time because the winters are very tolerable and quite Pleasant. But as I said once April rolls around the temperature starts getting above 100 everyday and it is Hell on Earth till the middle of October. PS you never want to have or take advice from somebody who's lived in a certain city or location their whole life because they have nothing else to compare it to.
