Me too. My freshman year I took intro to engineering, and it was basically a CAD class. I sucked at it, and I never really tried. I wish I stayed in the engineering course for my high school.
I know there's WAY more to it, but you showed me that I could start doing this! Thanks a lot!!!!! You took all my fears of learning 3d printing and threw it out the window.
Bravo. You are a natural teacher. The ability to explain a complex task into a short easy tutorial, is rare. Some of the most talented, experts in their field, are horrible teachers because they lack this ability .Once again. Bravo. I am really impressed.
I couldn’t catch on to this teaching style but thanks for the effort. I guess I need cad for dummies . A slower and simplified approach but I’m 52 years old and have a harder time catching on than a lot of people would.
I’m already capable enough at CAD to accomplish what was shown here but, I still enjoyed this video. Great way to get people to wrap their head around CAD and grow from there. Thank you.
Thank you so much. I learned a lot in this little tutorial. Very similar to making signs with a vinyl plotter that I'm familiar with. I thought 3d printing would take a long time to learn, but this crash course opened my eyes.
The only and best teach of 3D print I’ve ever seen very detailed like it should b for someone not no how to use it cuz it can b intermediating, all others just do it but don’t explain into details how they got there
Thank you! You're right, it's just a very short tutorial, but I am a lot less intimidated now! Getting started seems a lot less overwhelming than I expected. I think this video is a great starting point for people who are interested in cad!
Nice! Im starting to play around in tinkercad but want to learn SketchUp. I'd love to see more of these types of videos as well as the fpv stuff. 😉 Thanks.
Just putting it out there for the people reading this: SketchUp is Not suitable for product design. You need a Parametric CAD program to accurately make and size your designs.
Excellent video, I'm sure it will help many people get started in making things. Once I realized that a 3D printer was nothing more than a computerized glue gun it became very useful in making parts I could not buy.
I found this video very interesting. I'm looking to get a 3d printer but have no ideal how to do it. This showed the basics to get started with CAD. Now I can get a base line on what to do. Deff wanna see more vids on 3d printing. Awesome job brotha 👍
thanks man. if you're getting a printer for casual printing and nothing heavy duty, a simple printer like this will work fine. set up right it will make great prints: amzn.to/2UXHmKg
That must be a good printer cause everyone is telling me to get the ENDER 3. There's alot of videos on TH-cam about it as well. So that's a good thing.
FlightClub Thanks! I’ve been watching since. Your QAV 210 video. That was my first build and I followed along! Excited to get more into the 3D print DIY! Thanks!
The printer is coming. I have the ideas. Will have to learn CAD but use it in Linux- probably with the open source program called SolveSpace. This video helped a lot- especially it has given me extra confidence that I can accomplish creating things that will be useful to me.
What program are you actually using? I don't recognize the interface page. Im just trying to learn about CAD, so you may need to dumb it down some for us older guys. However, keep it going.
I'm preparing for a interview and one of the key words was CADD which I had no clue to what it was. I've watched a few different video's which gave good breakdowns but your process of going through step by step on how to make something as simple as this device gives me more than enough knowledge to be able to at least talk about the tool through the interview. Thank You for this video and the new found interest.
excellent video! you achieved exactly what you set out to do...bust the myth that it is rocket science to design. I was 2D designer doing business signage and I taught myself so it can't be that hard and after watching this I have realised 3D design might have more dimensions but it also has even better software available and some of them are free too...unheard of in the 2D print world! Thanks for the Video you earnt a like and a Sub ;)
Thank you, thank you, thank you. Great tutorial, especially since it keeps intimidation at bay. Just the push I was waiting for. One question though. What printer would you recommend to start with? I know there are different budgets and categories so if I'm looking at a Prusa right now what would you think about it? Again thank you, I hope I have an opportunity someday to pay it back or at least forward.
I think Fusion360 is free to use also for hobbyists so you don't have to be a registered student somewhere to use it. Also, I've been using Tinkercad for everything I've needed and so far I haven't felt too limited to motivate a change. But eventually I will...
I have a tiny metal part (similiar to a tiny metal screwdriver) I'm trying to put into a cad drawing for manufacture. They said to save it in 2d, and 3d. Is there any way I can do this with my phone?
It nice that you did video, how ever SOLIDWORKS is by far the hardest CAD program I had ever tried to download, because of what seems to be to many unexplained reasons. ... ( SOLIDWORKS ) seem to fine one reason after another to stop the download.... and won't let it happen. it made the problems I had downloading fusion 360 look easy,.. fusion 360 even help me find a way around what was given me problems, I give up on SOLIDWORKS. .
Awsome stuff man! I am trying to design a prototype for a product I have in mind and I have been debating whether or not to try to design it in cad software myself or resource out that part of the development process. After watching this, I think I should be able to do it myself and save money! Now I just need to buy a 3D printer haha
I really am starting to regret BSing my way though the cad class I took in high school
Fuck I have a design and engineering class tomorrow it’s gt and I’m shite at math

I know there's WAY more to it, but you showed me that I could start doing this! Thanks a lot!!!!! You took all my fears of learning 3d printing and threw it out the window.
Tinkered is a lot easier
you will go down many rabbit holes, specially with 3d printers.
Bravo. You are a natural teacher. The ability to explain a complex task into a short easy tutorial, is rare. Some of the most talented, experts in their field, are horrible teachers because they lack this ability .Once again. Bravo. I am really impressed.
Finally a simple video to grasp a basic understanding.
Already understand 100% than i did before.
Great video! It was perfect for seeing it for the first time, and giving me the confidence to know that I can try it.
Wow! Thank you so much. I’ve had a 3D printer for years and never made anything of my own. That has given me the confidence to go and try.
this is the best tutorial ive seen for the basics and getting started.thank you so much.
Exactly what I needed. Just a quick tutorial to share some basics to get started. It's pretty overwhelming at first glance.
I couldn’t catch on to this teaching style but thanks for the effort. I guess I need cad for dummies . A slower and simplified approach but I’m 52 years old and have a harder time catching on than a lot of people would.

Wow! Thank you! I searched Cad for beginners and this vid came up. Definitely takes some of the height off the mountain.
I can't thank you enough for this video I will watch this a hundred times over before I get it but very great explanation
Awesome! Starting CAD classes this semester.
Thank you so much. I learned a lot in this little tutorial. Very similar to making signs with a vinyl plotter that I'm familiar with. I thought 3d printing would take a long time to learn, but this crash course opened my eyes.
You really are a great instructor. I been trying for years to understand 3 D. Thanks

Did you end up getting started
Awesome dude. I was here thinking it was going to be a whole lot more complex. Thanks 🙏🏾
Finally a tutorial that actually is short enough to inspire the masses
The energy is so good.

Thanks for the easy straight forward approach to Cad.. I've learned a lot.
Keep up the tutorials 👍👏
Thank you so much for this video, so clear and simple instructions!
This was really helpful. Thank you.
great video really this video explains cad better than a 1 hour video would
That was fantastic Mike! I've been putting this off for way too long.
CAD for fpv is so helpful. solve any problems you have
Excellent video, I'm sure it will help many people get started in making things. Once I realized that a 3D printer was nothing more than a computerized glue gun it became very useful in making parts I could not buy.
Really well explained video that covers most basic features in solid works. Thank you so much. Also would like to know if you have online tutorials.
This was awesome thank you!
Very KooL, I was able to follow you ,,,Very well and simple ,your a great Teacher 👍

Amazing tutorial!
Great channel name!! Very clever!
Awesome tutorial, thank you!
seems more complicated to learn than adobe illustrator and indesign . seems very detailed oriented job .
A video on 3D printing would be awesome! From which one a beginner would get to finished product and getting files!! Thanks man!!
ok, i'll start on it!

Thanks man

Thanks for the video - I need more of this. just purchased a 3D printer need to know how to create 3D items
i just started with creating simple gadgets to fix issues around the house. once you get more comfortable you can create more complicated items
