    Great video. What do you use on your schwintek slide ?

    • @WhyWait

      Oh man…one of the biggest debates/questions in the industry. So here’s the deal awhile back there was a video of tech spraying the rollers on the inside of a Schwintek with CRC Power Lube and everybody has been doing the same since including me. Well turns out that video was old and it was a Class A Motorhome with a different style Schwintek slide and rollers/gimble. Here is the official answer I found in a discussion recently online. 👇🏼
      If you look at the video they are working on a motorized unit. A motorized unit does require some lubrication of what they call the gib. The reason this is needed is because when you are driving down the road and you have the slide in and it's right behind your head there is a squeaking noise that really irritates people. So lippert and the manufacturers of motorized units suggest lubricating the gibbs. I apologize if you were given incorrect information but the best thing I can tell you to do is keep the tracks clean. Wash them periodically with a mild detergent like Dawn hot water with a fingernail scrub brush to clean all of the debris out of the tracks. Rinse them clean, and then let them dry. If there is any lubrication needed you can spray a small amount of CRC power lube with Teflon on the V roller. Each Schwinn text system will have four V rollers. These are small nylon rollers that are inside behind the seal on the bottom of the track. They are called a v roller because when you feel it it is in the shape of a v.
      So basically I just wash it now, keep it clean,,but let’s be honest Lube will not hurt anything either. I would just use Boeshield T-9 if I lube anything. Hope all of this helps.

    Can someone help me with my question previously asked....our coleman mach ac unit fan seems to be tighter than everyone elses...it is a 06 model we are just learning all this stuff...😂when we try and start it doesnt wanna kick fan..we are using a 15amp wall socket and a 25ft power cord too...what will be good spray to lube and free that up so itll spin freely

    • @WhyWait
      @WhyWait  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Might because you are plugged into 15amp and it’s not adequate to start the ac unit up properly. You can run one AC unit on a 15amp wall socket but not best idea. If you are make sure it’s a 10 Gauge Extension Cord. You just cannot use any old extension cord. If the extension cord is not a heavy enough gauge it can overheat and cause a fire or prevent the proper amount of voltage or amps from reaching your RV, which can damage the AC. As far as lube goes I’ve never had to lube an AC fan and you really shouldn’t have to but you could try the Boeshield T-9.

    Is there anything that you can put on the outside of the camper that would help make removing bugs stains after you pull it down the road?

    • @WhyWait
      @WhyWait  ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m not sure 🤔 Good question. Nothing I’ve ever heard or seen but there could possibly be something out there to help with that.

      We spray Johnson’s baby oil on the front cap prior to travelling. Virtually all bugs just wipe off. I am told that Pam cooking spray works too.

    We have been using 303 for over 20 years. We used to be a dive master, and I use that on all my inflatable‘s and my dive equipment. Works VERY GOOD. Some friends in the marine industries told me about it.

    Do you use a rubber seal conditioner on your slide out seals or do you just use the 303? Thanks, love the videos!

    • @WhyWait
      @WhyWait  ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope, just always used 303 UV protectant. Grand Design only says to use baby powder in a sock to keep them maintained and that’s it. Guess they are suppose to be treated and won’t fade or crack but I figured it won’t hurt. Thanks for watching 👍🏼

    I am a newbie and overwhelmed with what products to use. This was a great video. I see you also use 'CRC Power Lube Industrial High Performance Lubricant with PTFE', how does this differ from the Boeshielod?

    • @WhyWait
      @WhyWait  ปีที่แล้ว

      Well to break it down this link to Boeshield says it all….boeshield.com/why-boeshield-2/
      CRC is great too for lubing moving parts but that’s pretty much where it stops, it’s not a cleaner, rust and corrosion protectant like Boeshield. Just nice not caring as many products if I can use one to cover all basis.
      You can also check out my Boeshield T-9 video to learn more.

    I have the Intech expedition and its a all aluminum trailer. Can I use this wash product on the aluminum shell

    • @WhyWait
      @WhyWait  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Totally. You can also use it on your vehicles. Good stuff. Let the product do the work, spray it on or just use it in a bucket. Wait a few minutes the lightly scrub if even necessary. Checkout the full wash video if you are curious about it and thanks for watching.
